Be careful what you wish for. If you think things are unbalanced now wait til they add more overdrives in.

Great customer relations Helmet boy. Tanki used to have a great customer base until they kept putting in one bad update after another. Your attitude and that of the Dev's is exactly why people are leaving the game. Sure Tanki doesn't have the resources of Sony, but that shouldn't be an excuse to put out crap updates and allow people like you to basically call one of their customers stupid. Yes you have perfectly illustrated why tanki is dying.

Sorry D.a.n.t.e to pop your bubble. I've played 3 times since the supply update (just to check out the update). In fact I haven't played once in 2 weeks and won't probably play ever again if the current changes stay in effect and some of the future proposed changes happen (I mean really....tanks with super powers...LOL). So if you feel that a person who went from playing everyday over the last 3 years to nothing is active, you just go ahead and think that. I just log in to see how many of my friends are left. The system counts logons as activity, it doesn't matter whether you are playing or not. So yeah I've logged on but I'm not playing. I'm also not spending, which should make the anti buyers happy. It also makes me happy since I know not 1 cent is coming from me to support Pony Tail Boy and his minions who have wreaked this game. I've also been following server loads too. I've noticed this last week Tanki is having a hard time even breaking 35,000 during peak times. It's gone down another 3 or 4 thousand since the supply update. (When I started playing it was 105,000 to 110,000) Hmmmm.... Seems to me the players are speaking with their feet since the Dev's don't listen when we talk to them. Plus Pony Tail Boy and the Dev's are being as arrogant as ever as was shown in the latest vlog with even more freedom of choice being taken away. I really loved the game D.a.n.t.e, so I check in from time to time to watch the chat boards, see who's still here and to see how things are changing in the game. Don't confuse that with being an active player, because I'm not.

I see that the average number of players is continuing to drop even after the new changes that the highly intelligent and all wise Pony Tail Boy and his Dev's have implemented. In fact they are running on average about 10,000 less during peak times than they were this time last year. The number of players just keeps dropping and dropping. I wonder at what point that it will suddenly dawn on them that they've made very bad decisions? I guess it'll be when their paycheck bounces because there are not enough players left to support the game. Watch out guys and gals pretty soon they'll probably start charging to change servers or equipment. LOL They kept saying that they don't want Tanki to be a pay to play game. Then they keep having sale after sale and they keep making it harder and harder to be able to build your garage through game earnings. Some things, such as kits, can now only be paid for except by cash. In the past you could pay with crystals. They say limiting the effectiveness of the health kit was to better balance the game. It has had the exact opposite effect. In fact it has caused a greater use in the other supplies to compensate. Which of course causes players to spend more money. Once again, boys and girls, notice that they again took away the ability to buy supply kits with crystals and now you have to use cash. Every change over the last few years has been made to make people spend more cash. Separating paints and protections, changes in the shop doing away with the ability to purchase with crystals, and ridiculous prices on upgrades and speed-ups with the added incentive to use speed-ups because of the insanely long times it takes for an upgrade to take place (up to 2 weeks in some cases), and now the change to supplies. Everything has been designed to put pressure on you to be a buyer if you want to be competitive. Yeah baby, pay to play is here to stay no matter how they try to explain it away. People are getting tired of the callous attitude of Pony Tail Boy and the Dev's and they're getting tired of seeing the game they love ruined . That is why the numbers keep going down and down. My only wish is that I could see Pony Tail Boy's face when he finally realizes his ride is over. Though he'll still claim it wasn't his fault that the game went out of business.

If that is the case then why are they adding such ridiculous and unpopular changes to the game. Fix the problems first then make changes. It's like taking a street car and putting a racing engine in it to improve it's performance before you have made the car able to handle the power. You know you might be surprised that most of the problems with the game would disappear if you fixed it first instead of wasting time coding updates that actually make the game worse. Come on really, You automatically kill a tank by running into it. You might as well put the April fools joke in about flying tanks. Also the other power-ups are almost as ridiculous. You will need no skill just play bumper Tanks. There's an Idea why didn't you change the name from Tanki to Bumper tanks online. I am however a fan of the match making system since I play the exact same system in "War Robots". It almost makes me wonder if that's where you got the idea from since it is such a good idea. Lastly how many years have we been asking for these changes? All we've gotten is promises. It's time for the Dev's to put up or shut up. Oh that's right, they've already ruined the game.
-
Once again you try to muddy the waters and hide the mistakes the Dev's are making by picking on one aspect of the conversation instead of relating what was said to all the information that is contained in the WHOLE conversation about the decline in Tanki Online. Tanki Dev's have repeatedly ignored good solutions to problems made by the community to fix the problems in the game. Many of those suggestions were well thought out and presented logically and they probably would have made the game better and more enjoyable to play. They then arrogantly claim that they are the only ones who have the solutions and then shove them down our throats even when shown logical arguments that prove that those so called innovations and changes are bad for the game. You are wrong when you said, and I quote: ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Maf, on 16 Jul 2017 - 10:15, said: It's slowly dying, but due to natural causes, rather than "bad updates" ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ It's not only the bad updates too. It's the arrogance and lack of caring for the community that is killing Tanki Online! PS> Better delete that post it's not touting the company line

Do a comparison year to year matching up the seasons. Summers with summers, Holidays with holidays. You will see a significant decrease in players. The yearly averages over the whole year are nose diving. If I'm wrong produce the numbers. I'm sure the Dev's would be happy to give them to you to prove that they are making brilliant decisions.

I thought - "Why am I playing?" The game is ruined. It is now boring and tedious. The Dev's aren't fixing the main problems of bad code that causes continuous crashes and glitches. They continue to allow the proliferation of cheats and mults. Bullies are everywhere trying to intimidate other players or sabotage them in games. Hackers are all over the place now. All they do is make promises of better things to come, which never happen. Then to cover up their failures they keep ruining the game with glitzy gimmicks such as overdrive, wreaking the things that were working in the game and having worthless time consuming contests that really give you nothing with the purpose of distracting people away from the mistakes they're making. They turned a game that you could, if you worked hard enough, play for free into a pay to win game. They have turned a once brilliant and great game into a mediocre and boring game. Which will soon turn into a terrible game once they introduce their new proposals. So tonight was, more than likely, my last game. Some will cheer (I fully expect the usual suspects to chime in) and hopefully some will be saddened. I really don't care anymore because the game that I love to play so much has been ruined by arrogant close minded a@#%$#@s, who refuse to listen to the people who have played the game the most and the longest. We know the game, we know what made it great ,but when we tried to tell you and at times begged you not to do things that we knew would ruin the game, you ignored us. So I have decided to ignore you. In 2012 there were well over a 100,000 people playing the game during peak times. now you can't even break 40,000. Piss poor management and decision making if you ask me. Go back and check out the old vlogs from those times. The offices used to be fancy and nice. Now they're filming in little cubicles that are obviously in the low rent district. The trends are plain to see. Bad decision after bad decision have led to a steady decline of players and income. Now the hard core players, like myself, are leaving. When we leave and take our money Tanki dies. It may not happen tomorrow, but it's not too far off. In an earlier post I said I would ride the ship down. Sorry I can't anymore. It's just too painful to watch. So long Tanki it's been fun. Sorry that it has to end this way.

That being the case, to answer ByeByeBye's question it's War Robots on Android and ios. It is fully portable and actually fun like tanki used to be. I'll carry on any further discussion on the channel our fine moderator pointed out to me. Thanks for the clarification. PS. Should you try it out my nick is Dliver. My clan is Deep South Bros. Feel free to sqad up with me anytime.

Privately message me. I don't want to break any of the rules and be banned or have it just taken down before you see it.

Too true. It has broken my addiction and my support and money is going elsewhere. I've already found a much better game. Head for the lifeboats people the SS Tanki is sinking.

Hey all you anti-druggers I see the Dev's are listening to you too. More drugs than ever in the game and now super powers. Wow it gets better and better. The game is ruined ladies and gents for everyone, druggers and non-druggers alike. Hackers and cheats will rule because I can almost guarantee that all this new stuff is going to be as buggy as the dumpster behind a restaurant.

Here's a few constructive ideas that the Dev's might want to consider instead of the ruinous ideas they came up with in the last update. 1. Roll back this update. As can been seen in the forum this is not a popular update. Even most of those that like some of the ideas in the update view it as mostly bad. The cool downs before the update for supplies were spot on. Especially get rid of the one hit and the healing stops thing. ( See point 11 before commenting on my opinion on this) 2. Protections - Let people choose the protections they want. Let them purchase a module then fill it with the protections they want. In any combination that THEY want. They would still have to buy multiple modules to cover all the varied weapons we face, especially if you limit it to just 3 protections like the current modules. However, I think a 4 protection module would also be well received, but instead of a max of 50% protection, I would reduce the max protection to 40% on a 4 protection module. They would still have to be upgraded like now too. The only difference is your customers would be happy and would probably buy even more over time. 3.Physics of the game. It's just plain stupid and unrealistic the way the physics of the game are now. Yeah it's great in parkour, but it really messes up game play the way tanks just run over each other. It's gotten to a point that it looks like a bunch of slugs humping each other. Yes it's a game not a simulation, but a wasp or hornet shouldn't be able to run over a mammoth. 4. Speed-ups : Reduce the time of upgrades to a more reasonable level and reduce the price of the speed ups. It's just stupid the price level you've set for speed ups. It's one of the main reasons I quit spending cash on the game. Also the time interval for upgrades makes it almost impossible for a player with little money to build a decent garage. They loose interest in the game because it takes to long and because of the frustration level of not being able to compete and then they leave. 5. Maps : Open up the blocks you have placed in the maps. Return the sniper spots you've removed. Let us explore the possibilities of the maps and use our intelligence. That was half the fun back in the early days. Finding and using those spots. That was especially true for wasps and hornets. It evened the playing field between them and the heavy tanks and made them much more dangerous. The maps are boring now compared to what it was back then. Today it's - go to the same spots, follow the same patterns and nothing changes. 6. Changing equipment in game : Go back to the 1 minute cool down. The funnest battles that I had were 1 on 1's or 2 on 2's where part of the battle was constantly changing equipment and trying to outwit your opponent. Not only did you have to use skill to win, you also had to use your wits. This made the battles fun and stimulating. This also should be available in regular battles because of the constant comings and goings of people that can seriously change the dynamic of the on going battle. 7. Shaft : Get rid of the damn laser. Shaft is a sniper. A sniper is sneaky. They don't advertise their position with a laser. Of course you would probably have to nerf it's damage. Which needs to be done anyways right now. It's way over powered. Also it would need a mussel flash and possibly a shell smoke path like the magnum to give others a chance against it. The arcade mode is fine and should be left alone. 8. Vulcan : It's been nerfed too far. The damage power is just about right. Maybe just a little increase would be nice. However the impact needs to be increased. It's a sitting duck right now. It can't knock anyone's aim off right now. So it is at a serious disadvantage with it's lower damage output and weaker gyro stabilization. 9. Bring back the differences in performance in hulls. This kind of goes back to the physics thing. It just makes battle more realistic and adds just another consideration for the tanker. It makes them use their brain. 10. Isada : I would bring back a little self healing... say 25%. I say that mainly because that was one of the nicest features of the turret and would make all the people who you pissed off, by taking it away, like you a bit more. I think any thinking person would agree that 50% was really way too much and it needed to be nerfed. Just not to zero. 11. Allow the players to set a default setting for themselves for drug or non-drug battles. Players would then automatically go to the type battles that they prefer when hitting the battle button. Also have a easy to see designation in the battle selection window to show which are drug or non-drug battles. This simple solution would solve a huge problem in the game and get rid of a lot of controversy. 12. Lastly bring back test servers and let the experienced tankers test out you're ideas and then LISTEN to their feed back. That's it. If that was the update you did, I think a lot of people would come back to the game. Remember more people more money for you. Of course you'll probably just ignore this like you always do.

Weekend Giveaway with hot prizes and 1.5X Funds!
Dliver replied to theFiringHand in Contests Archive
What a crock. They think we are complete idiots. They come out with a crappy update and they think having a cheap and totally useless giveaway is going to make us forget what they've done. Come on Dev's, if you're going to do that at least make the prizes worth the effort. It just goes to show how little you value those in the community. All you're doing now is adding insult to injury. -
That's what we druggers have been telling you whiney non-druggers, who expect everything to be free and don't support the game financially like we do, for years. Why not adopt a simpler solution. In game options have a button that sets your default choice to drug or non-drug battles. Then you automatically go into the type battle you prefer. Then druggers and non-druggers can both be happy.
-
Like I said in my earlier post - Yes there will be a few who keep spending on a ruined game. But remember this..... If enough people who spend leave, then the game becomes non-viable and will end. With this last update many are leaving, and they're leaving with their money. The number of players keeps going down, not up. You do the math.
-
All I've got to ask the Dev's is this....Do you guy's intentionally plan bad updates to chase people away from the game. Say what you will about the so called bad old days of the unlimited drug wars. It wasn't near as bad as what the Dev's have just done with this last update. Back then, in those so called horrific times, there was routinely over 100,000 players playing during peak times. There were many servers so packed that you couldn't get on them. Now you can't even break 40,000 and it just keeps going lower. You patch the real problems in the game with gimmicks. You've taken a game that took intelligence and skill to play and over the years turned it into something like a soggy piece of toast. You've listened to the whiners and children and chased the adults away. You just had a sale and you made anything bought, especially supplies useless. The game is simply no longer fun.Who's going to spend money on this crap product now. Whose going to spend money on this poor game now. There will be a few of course, but that number keeps going down. It went down by at least 1 today because I won't spend another dime on this game again. I've looked around and I've already found another game that will get my money and time. Get ready for the cuts Dev's , it's not just me. I've talked to a lot of people in the community that feel the same, and the first cut you should make is Pony Tale Boy. He's the guy whose caused all this and he needs to go.

It seems the Dev's are finally realizing that tanki is dying. They're finally trying to make some changes that make sense while still throwing in stupid stuff. The smart stuff: 1. I'm glad they're trying to fix critical errors.(about time). And actually asking for help in reporting those errors. 2. I think the new matchmaking system will be good for the game too as long as it lives up to what is advertised. 3. Doing away with the pro pass is good too (it should have never been put in the game). The main question left hanging in the air is this: Will games formed by people that aren't private count towards missions. That still has to be clarified. Hopefully they will count towards missions. As to the stupid stuff (mainly from previous vlogs): 1. The proposed changes to supplies doesn't make sense. The way it is now works very well and is well balanced. 2. Zero supply mode will just make matters worse and severely unbalance the game. What they should have done with the new battle matchmaking system is give the choice of supply and no supply battle modes when picking the types of battles to play. That is the simple fix that would have made that whole controversy about supplies basically go away and make the most tankers happy. At least now, however, all those who want to form their own battles can do so and choose what level of supply use in the battle they want free of charge. So now all those who hate supplies can make those battles and can quit complaining about the lack of battles with no supplies. It'll be interesting to see how popular those games are once the new system goes into effect. Hopefully the Dev's will continue down this road. Maybe just maybe they can save the game.
-
Really? 2000 kills and all you get is a crappy paint, 5 days of premium and 10 golds! Oh yeah, and don't forget the outside chance for a dream tank! Of course with so few playing the game now, your odds might not be that bad. It's no wonder so many are leaving the game with that kind of weak reward. It really shows that the Dev's have no clue as to how to attract new players or how to keep the existing players from leaving.
-
This game is dying. It is dying because of one bad decision followed by further bad decisions made by the developers. Instead of fixing the problems like the horrible client, always ignoring the known cheaters or having bad game physics (where the emphasis is on acrobatics instead of reality), they just keep trying gimmick after gimmick. They ignore suggestions by the players, have poor testing of new ideas for the game (When's the last time anyone talked about being on a test server). They have made it impossible for players to improve there lot in the game just through game play. Then there are many who play who don't like the use of supplies, but they make them pay for the ability to choose. Then to make matters worse, if you choose the game you want to play, you can't use the results of those games for missions. Many have spent tons of money to upgrade equipment just to have it nullified by some stupid change by the Dev's with no compensation. They keep changing the rules without improving the product. Server lag is still terrible even after the consolidation to fewer servers because of lack of players. The list can go on and on as to why the game is failing. It has simply become an overly complicated and frustrating game to play that keeps getting worse with every change the developers make. That is why so many are leaving. When I started there were over 100,000 players during peak times on the servers, now they are having a hard time cracking 40,000. In the old days it was hard sometimes just to get on a server. Today it's a ghost town. I've seen the writing on the wall and have stopped spending. I'll ride the ship down because I love the game but I recognize it's only a matter of time before they close the doors. So Dev's you better start writing those resumes and players you better start looking for another game to play, this one is dead. Dead man walking, Dead man walking!

Let's just say that when I started playing tanki about 5 years ago there used to be over 100000 players playing tanki during peak periods on any given day. Now you're only getting in the 40000 range during peak periods maybe reaching 50000 occasionally (like this Sunday and that was Tanki's Birthday. You'd think there would have been a lot more for the event ). The number of players keeps going down because of bad decisions by the developers. Pretty soon there won't be enough players to financially support the game.
-
Such a sad birthday celebration. The number of players keeps dropping. The Dev's keep putting in bad changes and still not fixing the real problems. This immediate cool down when spawning is just plain stupid. I would use a lot of other expletives too, but I'll remain civil. I tell you, you just gotta love being dropped into the pot completely defenseless and all the members of the other team are all around with all supplies activated to welcome you. The only money that I spent was to renew my premium account, because I have always supported the game, and after playing these last few days I'm regretting that. The Dev's keep listening to the cry babies and whiners and refuse to listen to those who have been financially supporting the game for years. So the game is failing. Money is drying up. Note all the gimmicks to try and get you to spend money. Note the consolidation of the servers due to lack of players. Note the constant decline of the number of players. So all I gotta say is enjoy it while it lasts and Last call.
-
The thing I love the most with having an immediate cool down on supplies when you spawn is being a sitting duck for any shaft, rail or maybe a camper in your base to get in a free shot. I just love it! Being totally defenseless is just so much fun and makes the game so much more enjoyable. Keep it up Dev's, you are going to make the game so much fun that everyone will quit playing because they won't be able to handle the ecstasy.
