  1. Then instead of putting in these horrible changes (that most hate) just to generate so called interest, they should put their efforts into real fixes. The number of players is going down and it's mainly because people are tired of all the crashes, lagging servers and hackers. If there is a fix, then that is what needs to be done. Not putting things in the game that have already been proven to detract from the game, are not liked by most people, and adds nothing but frustration to the game.
  2. I don't know why the Dev's have fallen in love with this zero supply and cool down adjustment. It was horrible the last time they tried it and it is still a horrible adjustment to the game. If they really want to make people happy fix the software that keeps crashing, fix the servers that keep lagging and quit ignoring the hackers, cheaters and mults.
  3. Unfortunately the plain truth is this for those who had their kills not correctly counted ...... The Terms and Conditions only apply to the players and it does not apply to Tanki management itself. They know and admit that the software wasn't capable of properly counting the Kills made as was clearly stated by Cedric himself. Their attitude is simply "to bad for you". They know that there is a problem and that they are not going to attempt to or even try and fix it. They also know that they are not going to try and do the right thing for those that were shorted on their kills. That is the reality of the situation. The really irritating thing is that they only mentioned this "minor" problem after the contest was over. If it had been known beforehand by everyone and mentioned in the Terms and Conditions, then players could have been more selective in battle choice. Especially for their final battles and this problem could have possibly been avoided. But once again this wasn't their fault and once again "too bad for you". They also know that no one is going to do anything. No one is going to get a lawyer over this to make them uphold their side of the Terms and Conditions. So they will do the simplest thing ..... Nothing. They will just ignore it and know that most people will grumble a bit and soon return to playing the game. It shows an unbelievable amount of arrogance on the part of Tanki developers. They think they can do no wrong and so even when provided with undeniable proof of a problem, they will simply do nothing for the people who they depend upon to support them and the game. The other truth is this ..... more and more people are getting tired of being treated in this way and that is evident in the continuing decline in the number of players actually playing the game. The interesting thing for me is watching the slow implosion of a great game and seeing how long it can remain viable.
  4. There are very simple apps that you can download for Apple, Android or Windows systems that accurately tell you proper UTC time.
  5. There are obviously players complaining that were not properly keeping track of their kills, but there are also those who were keeping meticulous track of their numbers who were done out of their earned rewards because tanki management doesn't want to correct the defect in the system that allowed certain kills not to be counted. A defect which they themselves admit is there. It is for those people that I am writing these posts. For myself I only got 466 kills, but I do know several players who did get the required kills in time but didn't get credit for their final kills because of an inadequacy in the system that doesn't count kills till a match was over. Of which Tanki made no mention of till the contest was over. The individuals mentioned had their matches end within a couple of minutes of the deadline and they HAD the required kills BEFORE the deadline. In those cases I think Tanki should do the proper and honorable thing and honor those kills and give those individuals what they so clearly earned through hard work and time. The Terms and Conditions for the contest simply stated that all kills would be counted till 20:59 UTC. It did not say All Kills will be counted in matches completed before 20:59 UTC.
  6. But that is not stated in the terms and conditions of the contest. You guys already made a mistake with the drawing and corrected it. You need to do the same thing for those who worked so hard to get to the 1200 mark and fell short because their match ended 1 or 2 minutes after the deadline. No where is it stated that those kills are to be counted at the time the match ends. It says simply that kills will be counted til 20:59 UTC. We trusted you guys to run a fair contest and now you've cheated people who worked very very hard and got the kills required to reach the goal and get the reward. Due to a simple lack of ability on the part of your software those kills weren't counted. That's not our problem. The terms and conditions simply states that - Kills will be counted from 21:00 UTC till 20:59 UTC the next day. Even Disney lets people ride a ride if they get in line before the deadline. Do the right thing and count those kills. It doesn't cost you a cent and would show that you are people with integrity.
  7. Sorry, Vulcan is still a whimp turret since the nurf. I'm glad they gave some back with increasing weak damage, but that was more than offset by weakening the gyro effect. It is the weakest turret now and easy to take out when not supported. I say that as a long time Vulcan driver. Check out my stats. I use to only use Vulcan. Now it sits in the garage collecting dust. Good job tanki for ruining a good turret.
  8. What's the point. If they go to M5 modification then they will be viewed as too overpowered. Then they would have to do another major re-balance to compensate. Why won't people realize that the more equal the more boring. In the old days the maps had more places in them for ambushes and sniping. They took them away because "It was unfair". Now they're doing the same with weapons and hulls. Everything has to have the same protections, everything has to have the same power. I think the proof is in the pudding. There has been a steady Overall decline in the number of players over the years from over 100,000 to around 50,000 on the severs at peak times. That should be a pretty good indication that wrong decisions are being made. The Dev's attitude lately has been let's adjust the things that most people like and forget the things that most have pointed out as the real problems in the game.

    Supplies experiment #2 this weekend

I find it very interesting that since the EXPERIMENT this weekend that the number of players has been trending steadily lower. It'll be interesting to see if the trend continues. I thought the whole point of this foolishness was to spark even more interest in the game so that even more play. It seems to me that the more the Dev's try to balance the game the more players are lost. Maybe we should go back to the old drug war days. Back then you would see over 100,000 playing and and most of the servers were full. That was when the game was supposedly totally out of balance. Or could it be that the players are realizing that the Dev's are just pretending to listen to us, and that they really intend to just do whatever they please.

    Supplies experiment #2 this weekend

That is the whole problem with both of these experiments. Re-spawning totally helpless. Don't you even read the posts in the forums on this topic. It is the single most hated thing in both of these experiments. Yes people have set behavior when re-spawning. They do it that way because of experience. I'll tell you this dying immediately after re-spawning is infinitely more boring and frustrating than hitting the DD or DA button and being able to survive and fight and enjoy the game. I'll give you honest situations - Death match everyone immediately targets the guy re-spawning because they know he's helpless. Capture the flag and team death match. Other team gets to the re-spawn points and sits on them with drugs activated and just kills everyone as they re-spawn. Just read the experiences for yourself all through this forum and the forum for the last experiment. This is just plain a bad idea. Just do the simple solution give the regular games the option to use or not use drugs. It's a win win situation. The people who like using supplies will be happy and those who don't like using supplies will be happy. It's what everyone is begging for.

    Supplies experiment #2 this weekend

I've been trying to keep an open mind. I keep playing and it just gets worse. Frustration just keeps building and building. Carrying over cool downs after being killed is absolutely the worst idea to come down the pike to try and supposedly re-balance the game. Please please just give us the option for either supplies or no supplies in the regular games. At least experiment with it for a weekend and see what happens. It definitely will not in your wildest dreams be worse than the last 2 experiments. Please listen to us for a change. It will make the non-druggers happy and the people who like supplies will be happy. A win win situation. It's the simplest fix to the problem that will make the most people happy and is the easiest to do. With this experiment in, I definitely prefer non-drug games. Though I find them not as fun as drug allowed games but at least everything is equal. This experiment totally throws the balance off in favor of those who overwhelm the other guys base first or gets to the spawn points first. You have absolutely no chance to fight your way out when they're sitting there with drugs activated. You just die and die till you can activate something to get away. Then you have to go and hide till you can use health or some other drug in order to fight back. That is why having the option to pick drug or non-drug games is so important. I totally understand the non-drug viewpoint now. It is totally unfair for the non-drugger people to have to go through what you've put us through these last 2 experiments. Which is what you have forced them to do day in and day out over the last couple of years. It's no wonder they hate buyers so much. You took away the non-drug option years ago please give it back so the non-drug people can enjoy the game too and so that you don't ruin it for those who like using drugs. The only good thing to come out of this is that if anything even remotely like these 2 experiments is put in force then I will never have to spend another dime on the game. I will just play non-drug games or play the other online game that I've started splitting my time with and spending my money on. Sorry I'm no longer a pure Tanki player. These stupid experiments made me look else where and I found something that is fun to play and worth spending money on without the frustration that keeps building from this game.

    Supplies experiment #2 this weekend

Of your suggestions this is the one I like most and I think would do away with a lot of the frustrations with supplies. I will openly confess that I like to use supplies a lot, but this is the one thing that irritates the most and that I myself have used ;). When pounding a guy till you know he's almost dead then seeing the healing icon come on, ARRRRGGGG!, is so frustrating. So I vote for this solution. If you do nothing else than this, this will fix a majority of the problems with supplies and once again true skill can shine forth. I would say a 5 to 10 second cool down after taking a hit would be adequate. That way a guy running with the flag would still have a chance if he's a good enough driver. It would also keep the game from slowing down too much because of people going away to hide so that they can use a health kit. This would also give non-supply users a better chance, because they know that no matter how good they are they're eventually going to see that blasted healing icon go off and so have to start all over on the guy. Yep this is a good solution.

    Supplies experiment #2 this weekend

This may even sound more controversial... why not have 2 basic games types that players can choose from - one with supplies activated and one with-out (maybe with only drops) then both camps can be happy. Use pro passes to fine tune the games to a persons perfect liking. That does away with the so called financial harm supplies causes, it does away with the frustration that people have who don't want to use supplies have toward those who use supplies, and then the only argument that will be happening is who really has the most skill. This suggestion has been around for years but no one listens.

That's exactly what I did today. This test just as bad as the last one!

    Supplies experiment #2 this weekend

Once again we see that the Dev's are not paying attention to what their customers are saying. Starting a game and spawning totally vulnerable was the main complaint in the last test. What do they do????? The thing that a majority hated the most, that of leaving you totally vulnerable. Imagine spawning on the highway map with 2 to 4 shaft lasers on you and no way to protect yourself, or spawning in the middle of a group from the other team that's sitting on the spawn point and you have no chance to even take one out. In no supply games (which I like to play too) everyone is even so you have a chance. But when others are using supplies and you can't your dead, and that kinda takes the fun out of the game. And as everyone knows - when the game ain't no more fun then no one plays it. I can deal with changing cool down times, how may supplies can be activated at one time, or even changing the effectiveness of the supplies, but to just have you start out totally helpless is just wrong. The point is this - Supplies or no supplies, the aim is to make the game fair. Re-spawning in a game totally defenseless is not fair.

    Let's Discuss Vulcan!

Time to switch turrets. Vulcan is a weak turret now. This always happens with a powerful turret. They nerfed over and over again Shaft, and after a couple years they have finally started buffing it because it went to far. (Though I think the buff went too far because it can now one shot even the heavy hulls with no protection.) SO now I've switched back to my rail and I'm also having fun with firebird and (can you believe it) twins. This is a cycle that will last at a minimum a year before there is any chance of a buff. So switch out boys and girls unless you can team up with and Isada or another Vulcan. I've put mine in the back of the garage for now. The anti-Vulcan whiners won.
  17. The main problem with this experiment was how utterly defenseless it left you when spawning. All it takes is 1 guy sitting on the spawn point and you were quickly dead because you couldn't defend yourself because he had all drugs activated. As you go through the posts it's one of the big things that has caused a lot of the upset over this experiment. If the Dev's want to lengthen cool down periods to control the use of drugs that's fine. If the Dev's want to make it so you can only activate 1 supply at a time that is fine. If they want to let you activate all drugs at once, though that harkens back to the Drug War days of the past, that's fine too. But to leave you utterly defenseless when you spawn is just wrong. I really could care less about the cool down periods on supplies because that is simply adapting to new timing. Which we've all done before when the Dev's have made tweaks to supplies. However what will probably happen when everyone adapts to the new system is that the anti-supply people will start all over again complaining at how unfair things are with people using supplies in the game.
  18. NP, I misunderstood who you were talking to. My apologies. :)
  19. Here's the post that I called you on. LittleWillie, on 18 Feb 2017 - 18:50, said: Tanki collects data from all games played. You've collected data from about 0.00001% of all games played. Don't pretend you know is spawn camping is up or down. Like I said where do you get your numbers from? You yourself admit in the above post that you do not have access to the data. I got my numbers direct from the page that shows server load for the past week and if you look hard enough through the posts you can find the page that shows where to find it. That's why my numbers were so specific. Where as you just toss numbers that you yourself admit are based on nothing. I play everyday during peak times usually and I haven't seen over 75000 in a long time. That's why I have been so vocal on this topic. I've seen it where peak load was only in the 40's. Over the past 6 months the Dev's have been making smart decisions as to the game and it has resulted in growth of the player base and now it's hitting in the 60's again. I see this experiment as something that could reverse that trend.
  20. Then you looked at the wrong page. If that's the case I must be some super player to reach Legend 3 in a day. Plus I have posts that go several years back. Try again. But to help you out this is what it says on my profile page. Dliver Member Since 20 Dec 2012 18:59 Yes I know it's not quite 5 years, But I started out playing occasionally on a friends account when I was overseas. I started this one when I got home.
  21. Once again LittleWillie, Where are you getting your numbers? According to server analytics, peak traffic this week was 60619 yesterday. Sunday morning was 57332. You like to throw numbers around but they just don't jive with reality. Hmmmm, Yep, just don't jive at all.
  22. My apologies. I got the one month from the profile for the name you are using on this post. Plus I don't think you shouldn't post, but it is obvious from your comments on this topic that you are lacking in understanding fully this subject. So I still stand on my main point that this is a very bad idea on how to adjust supplies. If an adjustment is even needed.
  23. Funny that, according to your profile you've only been playing for a month and now you know everything. I've played this game for about 5 years now. I've been through most of the updates and I just have to say that you don't know just how bad this so called experiment is. I will admit some adjustments to supplies might be good. But this one is just plain bad.
  24. Here's a simple question. Why are most games drug allowed games?..... tick tock tick tock tick tock .... It's because most players like them. If it was the other way around then you would have to get a pro pass to form Drug allowed games and the BATTLE button would send you to drug-less games.
