Remember to post the link to the suggestion to this topic so we can all give it a +1 -
Surely not! I hate it when people do that without giving an opinion or helping. It's a good idea but maybe not 100 of each. I gave a similar idea +1 which is on already on the feedback site. Bruce marked the suggestion as "Pending" a year ago. It currently has +57.

yeah. Here's another complaint where players abuse the spirit in which this game is meant to be played. The game is called CTF. Not GAHTF. Exactly what Skitee mentioned on page2. *Grab And Hold The Flag And before the haters say it, yeah, I know the onus is on the reds to kill the flag-holding, blue shaft but as I said, CTF, Not GAHTF. So a checkbox option when creating battles to opt-out of timers might be good.

Looks like haters gonna hate. This suggestion is now in the negative votes. At least Semyon was kind enough to pass the idea to the devs. I tried and that's all anyone can do. Peace everyone!

Hey Bayern, I can't prove it but I think they were in on it. Why position yourself between the flag and the edge?

This was done. Nothing happened with the /vote and it looked like I was the only one using team kick. Traitor was right!

Those damn freezes. Always causing trouble!

We were trying to force him off the edge for over 10 minutes before I had enough and started recording - no joy. Recording is something I do when I've committed a lot of time and effort into something only for someone to spoil it. My fps go down when fraps is turned on. It was then my suspicions were about to be realised. I figured out what was about to happen. Plus no reds were interested in your "solution 2" It's clear that this was an abuse that was easy to carry out. Mammoths aren't pushed around because it is they who do the pushing in this game. A timer would is a good idea not just to minimise these abuses but also to add an extra dimension to the CTF battles. Not only have you got to beat your enemies, you have to beat the clock too, (5 mins) which is more than enough for any hull in any map. I will submit this idea to feedback later on today. Thank you to those who have helped me craft it. Much appreciated. :) edit: submitted to Battles > Game Mode but it's ОЖИДАЕТ ПРОВЕРКИ (waiting for checks).

watch the video I posted then come back and take back 1, 2 and 3.
-
Timers would be inactive if both flags are taken.
-
Thanks. Maybe the timer could be displayed counting down. It would add an extra dimension to the excitement if you're genuinely fighting your way back to capture the flag.
-
Thanks. Done.
-
Yes, I know. I wanting opinions and help with it first.
-
That's true. I didn't consider that either! 300 seconds then for our bulky friends! 5 minutes is more than reasonable and would surely help to minimise abuses and game spoiling.
-
Good thinking. Maybe in that case, timers are not active.

CTF - Holding on to the flag timer
Repair-Kit replied to Repair-Kit in CTF - Holding on to the flag timer Archive
Hiya, I'll post my idea to feedback for the devs but before I do, anyone here want a say on what I write? I was just playing in a Silence II CTF (20 flags) battle and it took a while but our (blue) side managed to break down the reds and we got to 6-0 up. With the battle fund at 3.5K, all but a couple of reds were left. At this point, one player on my side decided to capture the flag and hold on to it for 20 minutes. I just wanted to collect my share of the spoils and get on with my evening. This guy, SOBR009, was actually waiting for high-ranking friends to show up and when they did, he joined the other side. We were pigs to the slaughter  . So, I'm going submit an idea to have a timer for when players get the flag. If it held on to by the same player for X seconds then it automatically gets returned. Any ideas on what X should be? 120 maybe? Another aspect would need to be considered in the event the player drops it, picks it up, drops it, picks it up, to defeat the timer. How about if the flag is dropped more than once by the same player then it gets returned? All suggestions welcome! :) ps, Would I get any satisfaction if I posted the video to complaints or would it be considered sour grapes? Did SOBR009 break any rules?- 50 replies

mchen respect points? Can I buy them in the garage? I totally get why Cinder made and posted this video and if splitter doesn't then he's been hanging around mods and consultants too long. He has picked up on the sometimes, strict attitude displayed by staff toward players and is emulating that behaviour without any due regard to a player's feelings. Step 1: Indicate to OP that the topic is pointless "You can already check the FAQ topic for ranks... " Step 2: Reinforce Step 1 "I don't get why you made the video" Step 3: Try to justify Steps 1 & 2 "You knew that there was a FAQ topic." Some players have been here for a while and if you've clocked up nearly 10,000 posts in the forum, you've probably forgotten what it feels like to be new the game. It's a cracking game and it should be no surprise to anyone that players sometimes feel a need to take part, engage others, help and contribute by submitting their own creations. If I were a tanki boss, I'd encourage and applaud this spirit. Knocking people down just makes them want to leave and never come back. I guess some can't see the wood for the trees.

That made me laugh out loud. I think I'm a bit like you. It's great when you're able to help the underdogs win. Well I didn't expect those results at all. :o I would have put money on a clear majority wanting to join the probable winners.

Considerations when joining a battle
Repair-Kit replied to Repair-Kit in Considerations when joining a battle Archive
This is probably going to yield an obvious result but it might be surprising. Hope you take part! -
Nice one. The tanki people should buzz with excitement seeing players enjoying the game so much they make a video guide for themselves and to share with others. I get that. If it's not your cup of tea, don't comment! Are you trying to get players to leave? Others here enjoy this community involvement stuff.

Braden1997 - don't be discouraged from posting despite the best efforts of some to put you off. Staff will help and redirect you if they think necessary. I enjoy reading posts like yours and I think it's great you're helping others while taking pleasure from it. Good for you!
