I do not own fire M2, but I've heard its a nice turret. If you already have freeze m2 though, or isida m2, I don't think it would be the best idea to own 3 close range turrets when there are other more efficient ways of spending your crystals. If you truly love fire M1, then go for it. The only problem with smoky now is that there are SO many Savanna/Needles around, particularly with the new light m3 kit. Smoky M2 is nice, and I use it frequently, the crits are extremely useful and enjoyable. I'd take Smoky M2, because I prefer using long range turrets. I personally don't like to be limited to less than 20 meters. Basically, both are good options and both are usable for many ranks to come. You can't go wrong with either one so don't fret too hard over it, and choose the one that suits your playstyle and current garage needs best. PS. Firebird is allowed in clan wars. Smoky is not. If you dont care about cybersport though, then this is irrelevant.

Could you have coincidentally installed or downloaded some other program (around the time of the database center relocation) which runs in the background upon the starting of your computer? Any background applications could certainly cause this... you could do a cleanup check on your computer as well.

Uh oh. I'm running Linux, I don't think Unity is compatible. D: Aside from the potential for me to not be able to play in the future (until I buy a new computer) - it looks cool. :)

The best of the best! xD FBI had an excuse though - his tire blew out.

If you get a DCC, then you're out of luck, unless you plan on buying crystals... in which case, you'd be in luck. You're only sgt rank at the moment, I'd suggest if you plan to simply use daily gifts to increase your funds hoping for a daily crystal bonus, to rank up to Warrant Officer 4-5 for this. The higher your rank, the better your daily bonus will be, whether it be more supplies, or more crystals. If you want to maximize your crystal gains to experience points ratio, you will need to win every single one of your matches. When joining a match, look closely at the members on each team, the score, and the map. You want to join the side which will give you the most profitable outcome. One tip would be to avoid long matches. The longer the match, the greater chance you have of wasting time due to the enemys doing a takeover.* By playing shorter rounds, generally the enemies you fight for almost the entire match will be the same enemies you started with in the beginning. By judging your opponents before entering a match, or as soon as you enter if you think you can win, then play. By 'winning' every match, not only am I referring to your team winning, but you being in 1st or 2nd place in every single match - preferrably by a long shot. Yes, you'll need to focus on gaining quick points by capturing enemy flags (if CTF), or by dealing the most damage (TDM) or 'stealing' the most kills (in CTF/DM) You need a combo that supports your play style. Further, not only your play style, but an efficient play style for that particular map vs the particular opponents that you are facing. You're a major on this account though, so you should know plenty about that. Another thing is that you should make the most of contests and other special events, like this past week we were given double crystal funds... thats very important if you want to get rich quick. Unfortunately, this is rare and if you didn't take advantage of it, well its about over now. Contests often give HUGE amounts of crystals, and I'm talking about the easy ones. These appear every so often, for example, you could've earned around 40,000 crystals basically by taking around 10 screenshots of different parts of the map, (#Rusty tanks / #Red containers / etc) You could also have won 5k for betting on the developers side during the Devs vs Players events. Just spend 1k on the paint and if you gambled correctly, boom, easiest 5k. *Definition of takeover: When you're having a jolly good time, all seems well, and it appears that the win of the match is without doubt in your favor. Then suddenly all goes wrong, all the players on the opposite team either leave, and the enemy's team fills up with higher ranks - the most threatening kind would be the kit users. That, or enemies all suddenly have infinite amounts supplies of every sort. #You'll need a twitter account for the screenshot events. Check here for upcoming twitter news events for easy alerts too.

Yes, I'm thinking 7v7 or 8v8 will be optimal. The small building in the center has been removed, since the idea of placing a bridge in the middle started. The ramps on each side, and the bridge will act as a sniping location for railguns and shafts, as well as thunder/smoky users. I don't think we should favor snipers by any means, I'd like everyone to be using the trees for stealth. As for flag placement... well I kept it on ground level, near the trees because I wanted people to be able to grab a flag, and the dive into camoflauge with the trees on their side. Putting it in a sort of enclosed structure with entrances like Sandal has would remove the ability to quickly drop in, and sneak back into cover so I don't think this would be the best idea for this map. I like the idea's of a few small traps in the ground, to force players to have to go around them, and be cautious of where they are driving at all times. The middle would be a great place for this, 2-3 small areas would be great to add diversity. Great suggestion. :) Yes, the spawn points will be near the base just around where the trees begin, so when spawning you can reach the trees in a matter of 3-8 seconds to hide yourself. (In a light/medium hull.)

Moon Silence was removed due to cheaters and hackers taking advantage of the low gravity, they were able to abuse the fly hacks and other things because this maps codes did not follow regular map procedures. You make an indirect, interesting point though, that being that players want something which is unique. That's what we all want, something new, fresh, and special to give us a different sense of gameplay. Until maps like this are implemented, there will always be something missing for us. Whether it be a change in gravity, ability to use stealth/camoflauge, the implementation of water in props, or anything else creative... this is certainly welcomed by all.

Thank you all for the feedback. One thing that I've noticed so far is that a few of you want it to hold a couple more props, to make it more interesting. I am also working with Royalworld soon to create the map in full, using the tanki testing tools! We'll strategically place a few walls for cover, and maybe throw in a small building, possibly two depending on how large the final map size turns out to be. One thing is for sure though, that you all love the basic idea of having stealthy tactics, and trees will certainly do the job. I'll keep working at this, and hopefully an improved version will surface that you all will love. I believe the map will be great for all weapons, close range, and long range, because with the trees reducing visibility, it will allow Isida, Firebird, and Freeze users to sneak around and get behind their targets, catching them off guard by surprise. It means everyone will constantly have to be on their toes, and aware of their surroundings, even using their speakers to hear if enemies are nearby. Camera angles will also play a role, when going into top-down view, it will help to improve your ability to see whos around you. Another exciting element will be when you 'blindly' take a shot, particularly with a long-range weapon, and score a kill, or perhaps even a double-kill! The hills on either side of the map will allow for some nice sniping spots, but will require you to risk your life, in almost clear sight from everyone else to take advantage of these spots. The other unique element will be the risk of charging to the other side of the map, crossing that middle gap where there is little cover. There will be a few small 'rest stops' for cover, but they won't provide too much protection, and you will have to quickly keep on moving and get into the trees for camoflauge if you wish to survive for too long! I hope this wets the appetite for some of you, and sparks your creative side. Continue to give your ideas and hopefully we can see this map coming into the real Tanki servers not too far from now. :)

Above, you can see proof of how difficult it was to make the spacing perfect haha... Indeed, I put alot of trees... but it was done on purpose, see we already have maps that have trees with spaces between... what we don't have is 'thick' forest like jungles, that are extremely dense and hard to see through. Maybe here and there, could be a small 'clearing' of trees, within each 'forest', but it would only be a small area, perhaps the size of 1-2 Mammoth hulls sitting next to each other. Occasionally there could be a smaller area missing a tree or two, enough space to accompany a single hull the size of Hunter, just to make things a bit more varied. I believe it should stay true to its form though, and supply something completely new which tanki lacks, so the more dense, the better. I'd go as far to say that the map 'Forest' should be removed, since its really nothing like a 'forest' at all, and its extremely rare to find the map even being played. Then the map I made should take the name, 'Forest' or 'Dense Forest.'

Unfortunately I don't have the tools to create it, I'm running Linux... I'd love for someone else to create it though, who is able to use the tools needed... perhaps they can collaborate with me on Skype, to make it perfect. Well the trees I was referring to in the illustration was actually the large green christmas styled pine trees. They're difficult to see through, especially when there are multiple rows of them, and so there would be a very useful element of stealth when on the attack, or while defending. Some weapons would reveal your position, such as railguns bright beam, or twins/ricochet's shots being fired, but Smoky, Shaft, and Thunder would be able to take shots without a visible trail back to their locations. A bit of grass could work in some places, but I don't think they will play a significant role by any means in providing camoflauge. It would be more of a 'detail' type of thing, to make the map look more complete and realistic.
-
The above actually sounds pretty fun... though I think I'd rather play 3v3 or 4v4... it'd be too difficult to find your opponent if 1v1, and like you said... would take too long. I think i'd get bored lol. With a bit more action going on though, that could be great... white paint + light hull + shaft + huge winter map... I can see myself actually enjoying that. :)
-
Nope, you actually cant see the names behind the trees. Try going to Kungur, if you stand in the back part of the blue base, no one can see your name floating. I doubt it would effect lags very much, generally by decreasing the distance of visible graphics, you greatly improve your FPS. It's the reason why many people can handle dusseldorf, yet they can't even come close to handling Highways. Since the buildings get in the way of seeing the other end of the map, its as if the map is 'smaller' because your graphics card doesnt have to show the entire map at once. The trees reduce visibility so I'm guessing it would have a similar effect.

Anxiously waiting for my MU's to finish... 42 minutes for one... 3 hours for the other two.. ugh. I wanna upgrade them before I go to bed. -.-

What to do if your account has been stolen.

Prices are based off of crystals. Crystals can be purchased with real money, or earned in-game. You can also win crystals through prizes from tournaments and contests. The price of the next modification when you fully micro-upgrade one parameter to completion will vary, but generally it is a small percentage. By no means do you 'save' crystals by doing this. Its better to only MU the first 1-3 steps of the most important parameters, and then save your crystals to upgrade the next modification entirely. MU's should mostly be done at M3 when you have spare crystals leftover. By upgrading every single parameter to max, of a particular item, the next modification will be up to 70% cheaper. Once again, this isnt a good way to 'save' money. The first few upgrades give by far the most increase, and it quickly descends to a very small increase in performance, for a very fast ascending price.

Definitely save for a nicer paint, most of rustles usefulness is from Major ->Brigadier... then generally you start to see higher caliber paints everywhere. Id still take Rustle over Emerald though, with a few MU's you end up with a pretty awesome paint. Its just that the maps you listed, are mostly for longer range paints... rail protection would help the most in my opinion. Unfortunately prodigi is a long ways away.. if you could get it in some kit, thatd be nice. Savanna is great though.
