    connection stopping without reason

I agree. There is nothing that can be done other than to fix the server issues. We can only highlight it. I've provided some information in my post. It will be interesting to see if anyone comments on the information I provided. I won't hold my breath.

    connection stopping without reason

I have been experiencing connection losses all week and I'm not sure why. Are we still able to ping the servers c1.tankionline.com etc because I get no replies from them anymore and tracerts never get there. I could be playing and then find I can't pick up a flag. I could try to enter the garage or change servers and the game hangs then I have to refresh or reload. My playing time this week is 5% of what it normally is. I have run WinMTR for one of the servers and this is the result Here is the result for tankionline.com 37.48.68.16 and here is the result for bbc.co.uk Lots of % loss in the middle for tanki but all ok for bbc Edit: I've just logged on for the first time today. First thing I did was to check for friends and switched to their battle and this is what I got. It just hangs there for ever with no chat panel, while the other two panels are present and getting updated ok. Maybe I'll log off.

Testing of Matchmaking System on EU servers

There has been enough complaints in this topic about MM, moreso in the RU forum. It really sounds like the devs need to go back to the drawing board. It's a bit ironic. Tanki bring out Daily Missions and Weekly Chains in order to reward regular attendance but then plan on negating those things with a Match-making system that switches the majority off playing. It sounds like a formula-based incentives system is needed. One that isn't so easy to bypass, where rewards are available to be claimed once a week for meeting certain criteria on each format. Players will always look for an easier way to complete these things so if you make it more difficult to circumnavigate and easier to complete simply by regular playing, you will then achieve the goal of getting players online with maps filled. Consider a points system where so many points are available in a day and therefore there is a maximum you can achieve in a week. Split that into 5 reward brackets that will determine your weekly gift. Criteria could include; Flags captured Crystals earned Experience earned Points captured Enemies killed Finishing 1st Finishing 2nd etc Do this with a twist - mission points only available if the battle is over x% full to encourage players to play in fuller battles. Oh, and do away with collecting drop boxes including golds as these encourage undesirable behaviour. Back to the drawing board, seriously!

It's hardly budged but the players in battles has dropped about 2k at any given time compared to that of a few days ago. It's around 10%.

Testing of Matchmaking System on EU servers

As usual, I've been following the server numbers and I can tell you that the online numbers are not falling much at this time, largely because we've hit the floor already. What I have noticed though is a drop of around 10% in the players that are actually playing this game, ie, in battles. I'm sure the devs have these stats too and much more. Let's just assume the trivial stuff that players are moaning about gets fixed, ie the minor bugs, rank brackets, waiting times & group limitations, I think it's a safe assumption that players will only use the play buttons for missions only. The moment they're done they will switch to the battle list. I know I'd do 3 one day and claim them slowly simply to avoid it. Players want freedom, not restrictions and limitiations and I wish the devs would own up and admit this won't be a good thing for the game. Sure they'll complete it and it will be around for a while but it will get scrapped in due course because it's simply won't make the game any better. Another thing I noticed when joining battles were the mults. Yes, you heard me right. But how can there be mults when everyone joining has no idea where they'll be placed I hear you ask! Well there are so many cliques and clans that have allies, players are basically agreeing to go awol when they see their mates on the other side. It's all very disappointing but it's just what we've come to expect from updates and game plans of late. It's time for a players committee or players council. All future update plans need to be signed off by them before going ahead! No brown-noses need apply.

    only 82 to go!
  9. The repair kit has always been overpriced so not many will complain when it gets a buff. But making it practically useless overnight demands a price reduction. To say what's been said here displays that certain level of arrogance and condescension we've all become accustomed to here. All this moaning about the difference in power between buyers and free to play players has been entirely brought about by greedy developers in the first place. Taking the the 1500 kit out of the garage and putting it in the shop was one such move to widen that power gap. They made it so much cheaper for buyers and so much more expensive for free 2 play players. There is no wonder that many players do not trust a word they say anymore. This is just one reason players leave and for why the game is dying. The devs inability to be straight-up is costing them. Remember me saying this? http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=336264&p=5773807 Interesting reading that topic again. Hate to say it but I told you so!
  10. And that's all that matters to us here who can play in the RU/DE/EN servers.

    Biggest Druggers

Yes. This one has a rigid turret and only turns it once in a blue moon.
  12. Why should I add anything to the numbers shown on the homepage? The numbers on this graph are elevated compared to that given in the homepage. There is information contained in the homepage that can be used as a general indicator. It not only gives you the numbers that are online but also the numbers that are in battles. So I'm using their numbers. I'm not making this up.
  13. Hazel said, "The old repair kit was breaking the roles of the turrets. It allowed long range turrets to get into duels with close combat turrets on their territory. And that wasn’t a good thing." So why wasn't it a good thing? Surely if this was the concern, maybe the best way to go would be to limit the damage rates long-range turrets can have over short distances. This way, if a long range turret player decided to go off-piste and tackle close combat turrets on their territory, he'd come off second best. Changing the mechanic to something this drastic without explaining properly WHY, just rubs people up the wrong way and players are left to come to their own conclusions and end up leaving.

So do we have to tolerate this behaviour spoiling our games? A change of rules is need in the violators section. This sort of thing should be punishable by resetting your missions to day 1 chain 1 and all we should need is a 10 seconds video with scoreboard included.

So missions can only be done in Matchmaking situations? We can all look forward to a sharp increase of this sort of thing ruining our battles then?

I stopped reading your reply at this point. You see, you're not wanting to understand. Who said anything about a main reason? Pointless!

    Patch Update #469 - Released 12th July 2017

The search trends of two games can't tell you much at all. The reasons for decline in interest at similar times do not have to be related. Some of us have been warning tanki for years. They didn't want to know then and they don't want to know now. This is just one reason for tanki's decline. http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=217363&p=4019186 I've been banging on about attrition for years and you all said that tanki isn't dying and mocking us when you got the chance. There's a whole bunch of reasons and I'm not gonna repeat them all again because frankly I'm board of doing so and history suggests nobody cares anyway. Best get your head down and defend the next batch of fairyland abilities for hulls instead of finding excuses. Customer relations here stink.

    Patch Update #469 - Released 12th July 2017

Well if you stick around long enough, you might find you can buy pixie dust in the shop. If you ever get flipped, you can press 8 and magic fairies are released to turn your tank upright. /sarcasm I'm feeling sad right now. My clan has lost a strong clan member and he's left because there is less enjoyment due to these gimmicks.

    Patch Update #469 - Released 12th July 2017

The answer to getting players to come back isn't with magical abilities, it's more to do with real-time moderation with real consequences for cheating and sabotage. It's to do with fixing all the bugs in the game before introducing something else. It's do with transparency and trust. It's about fairness and customer relations. We certainly shouldn't mock players when they say they're leaving. The time I've played in the last couple of days has seen me and my friends win and dominate more than usual but the fun and enjoyment was a whole lot less. I know this is just part one of OD's and not every hull will get this feature but still, judging by the v-log, I think the future will be bleak. Special powers for hulls? Far too complicated and balance will be a nightmare to achieve. Then there will be more ways to exploit us by charging for these abilities and why not allow them to be micro-upgraded also only to nerf them once the majority has them. I can see it now. /speculation Players are fed up with all this change.

    Patch Update #469 - Released 12th July 2017

Date # online # in-battle ======================= 14/07/2016, 51410, 34188 15/07/2016, 50135, 33179 14/07/2017, 31972, 19901 15/07/2017, 31094, 19941 The peaks for each day can be monitored for the numbers of players online and for the numbers of players actually in battles (all servers). If you look at last year's figures and then compare them to this year's, it makes depressing reading. But keep pretending if it makes you feel better!

Episode 139 of the V-LOG is here

Actually, I think people don't tend to complain as much in an environment when they believe their opinion does not matter one iota. Especially so when they think they can be censored or punished somehow for speaking out. I believe you're biased. You've never been into supplies for as long as I've known you. You regularly use the Zero protection module and you used two repair kits on the 12th to test out the change. You've used less than 10 supplies in all of 2017. You've hardly got your finger on the pulse unless you're a secret drugger on an alternative account. I thought I was pretty clear to what I meant by classic tanki but you seemed to muddy that. Let me clarify - I mean pre July 12th 2017. The day before fairyland online broke out.
