You can always hope but the chances of serious or considered responses are extremely low. Their decisions are final.

Episode 169 of the V-LOG is live!

Nothing quite like transparency is there. They were introduced to reward regular attendance. Just say it. Yes. Players will be rewarded for continuously completing certain tasks like collecting 7 double damage boxes for example. It encourages some players to enter battles for the sole purpose of collecting boxes in order to claim some rewards. I call these players, "Mission Mults". With 15 minute battles, these mission mults are usually done sabotaging your side's efforts within 5 minutes. Not only do they not contribute, their presence on your side can be viewed as a blatant act of sabotage. Luckily, there are 10 minutes left to try to overcome that initial disadvantage. Oh, but hang on... Regular non-pro battles will be the only place where missions can be completed so many players, especially those with multiple id's, will just be joining for the ultimate goal of getting those containers and sod any battles they just happen to disrupt in the process. The box collection missions need to be scrapped immediately. There are lots of ways to encourage regular attendance without detracting from a battle. Will anyone own up to doing this? edit: I see some of you are already discussing this. Glad I'm not the only one not scared to speak up about the negative aspects of tanki decision making.

Most players have an abundance of mines and speed boosts and because they're so numerous, they're practically throw-away items which is not the case for 1,2 & 3 supplies. Generally, these are usually depleted faster and they're not as easy to come by. Repair kits are 3x the cost too. I wanted to keep the weight applied to mines deliberately low. This is to offset the massive wastage in parkour and other private battles. If I raise the weight on that then I'd have to lower it somewhere else as total scores range from 0-100. The mines per hour rates are massive, so the weight needs to be lowest I think.

I think I'll leave that idea alone for the time being. Maybe one for the future though! I've done enough playing around. Now I just focussing on managing the list of players that get checked every day. I need to keep the numbers down which means I'm losing players from it all the time. I need to have a system in place to help me manage that. Did you understand the concept of new spoiler?

    Biggest Druggers

So this topic is about big supply users. These are the one's that have worn out keys 1 to 5 on their keyboards whenever they're battling hard, playing Parkour or drawing nice pictures on Rio's beachfront. But who decides which supplies are the most important and ultimately who the 'biggest druggers' are? Monitoring the overall SPH or 'supplies per hour' rates is a good way to find this out but this can be skewed by various factors, eg, availability, parkour, mine-writing, playing style etc. So can we benefit by weighting the indivdual SPH categories? Weighted Scores or Ranking is a way of assigning each supply a 'weight' or degree of importance in order for us to get a better picture. The problem, and this is where I need your thoughts, is what weight do we place on each supply? I'm going to do this but I will only for the SPH, (supplies per hour), 1 to 5 categories. A simple formula will be used for this, I'm not a mathematician or a computer programmer so simple is good! A player will get a score based on their SPH for each supply, calculated by ((N - P + 1) / N) * W Where N is the number of players in the sample (currently around 400) P is their position in the sample for that spoiler category W is the weight we apply to the supply. Clear as mud so far? Let's continue then! I'm thinking along of the lines of these weights (degrees of importance). To keep this neat, these should add up to 100. 1) RK = 30 ; ie, 30% of a players total score comes from this category 2) DA = 23 3) DD = 26 4) SB = 14 5) Mn = 7 So here I have said that Repair-Kits are the most important, DA's and DD's are given medium importance while speed-boosts and mines are of low importance. If I do these calculations, every player would get a total score between 0 and 100. We could then rank them in order. What do you think? What would be your weights for each supply?

I wasn't asking you to calculate anything. The trick is to compile a sample of active players randomly, the more the better. example, If I listed all the actively playing contributors in this topic who have more than 200hrs registered on their profile pages, we get a somewhat skewed sample size of 109 players Just focussing double damages, I could get the DD per hour value for each player. This is the number of double damages used divided by the time the player has played. This is like spoiler number 7 on page1. Once I have that I can work out the sample mean = 16.5 double damages per hour The standard deviation in this case, coincidentally is also = 16.5 93 players or 85% of these players fall within 1sd of the mean ie use less than 33 dd's per hour 100 players or 92% fall within 2sd of the mean ie use less than 50 dd's per hour The other 8% or 9 players use more than 50 dd's per hour If you compare what is considered to be normal usage for this topic, (0 - 33 per hour), with the player currently in 150th place on spoiler 7, 50 double damages per hour, you're able to draw some conclusions about yourself, the sample and the players in the spoilers. While looking into this, I was able to add 1 more person from this topic to my check list and I also found a player who would make spoiler 7, but because this player doesn't use more than 200 supplies per hour in total, they don't qualify. Maybe I should think about changing the criteria.

I won't ask what you thought. Instead of trying to cause upset, do you have any suggestions on how we can make more sense of the numbers in the spoilers? How about creating a random sample of a few thousand players and from that we can work out the average usage rates in tanki. It's been a long time since I was at school but I'm sure I remember the day we learned standard deviation. Maybe that can be applied here in order to determine what is normal, above normal and exceptional. Would you like to get busy and compile that list?

Yes, I agree with you there. But, drug, drugs, drugger, drug wars... etc are terms that pervade the forums, topic titles, posts and wiki. There is no getting away from them and if used correctly for the purpose of talking about supplies, then in this context, while not preferable, is acceptable. Step outside this context then you're on shaky ground. The moderators are on hand to edit posts and deal with rule breakers. But we all know that in this context, 'drugger' is just a word to describe someone that uses supplies. I am happy to remove anyone from the lists should they so ask. The topic title, "Biggest Druggers" has seemed to have stood the test of time. The only thing controversial at the time when this topic was created, were the words, "Hall Of Shame", which suggestively shed players in a negative light just for using legal features in the game. At least as it stands now, the description has a positive outlook and a neutral standpoint. If you would like me to clarify things in further detail on post #1, I'm happy to oblige. In the original layout, viewers of this topic were unable to discern players' levels of supply-use because only the total amount of all supplies was given with no regard to time. Not only have I included this factor, I have prioritised it. I have detailed the extent to which each supply is being used too, so those who are heavily into parkour or mine-writing should become distinguishable from those hard-core battlers around them. It's all subjective and readers have more information now to draw conclusions but I would be disappointed if Gabe's original title is forced to change. Edit: I'm happy to remove the Gold Box section for this topic btw. Less work for me! I was just trying to accomodate those who classed Golds as part of this topic. I have no malicious intent. Let's have some time to discuss it first.

I have said nor implied anything remotely controversial so no need for your carefuls and pleases thank you very much! This wasn't my topic to begin with and the topic name hasn't been brought into question before. The terms "drugger" and "drugging" are part of tanki lexicon and have been so for years. It's nothing new. The links on post #1 of this topic to wiki also serve to clarify, for anyone unsure, what these words actually mean in the surrounding context. If they're in doubt, then they can ask a helper. That said, I don't care what the topic title is. I'm just trying to help keep the topic alive. Forum users goers seem to like it.

If there are rewards, anything can become an addiction. The reward in this case could be the satisfaction of pressing 6 for friends, perhaps collecting your own box, or the joy you receive when you magnum a mountain of dictators to kingdom come! I think dropping gold boxes in tanki is classed healthy enthusiasm. Containers on the other hand...

Well that's the question. Is the gold box supply a drug or not? Some will say yes and some will say no. I'm in the no camp. It's now relegated deep, deep down, as far as it can go, all the way to the bottom of the list.

Made more changes after some experimenting. I think I found a happy medium now. About the information contained in the spoilers: The old way of just displaying someone's total supply count, didn't really tell the whole story if they were a drugger or not. Eg, 2 different players, Player-A and Player-B had both used 200 thousand supplies in total. So far, Player-A had spent 1000 hours in the game and Player-B had spent 5000 hours. In this case, Player-A is a huge drugger and Player-B is practically a light user. With this in mind, I've prioritised the Average Supplies Per Hour information over the Total Counts. Total counts are visible anyway by checking the profile pages but Supplies per hour is more important but less apparent. I doubt I'll be adding any more stats or changing the quantities the spoilers are holding from now on.

The list to check continues to grow. Now monitoring close to 400 players. 264 have made tonight's update. Fact The top Mine layer is still @Porsche Interestingly, this player has registered just over 4 hours play today and has managed to lay nearly 17,000 mines in that time. This is about 67 mines per minute or just over 1 mine every second!

Thanks. I can be sensible sometimes. B) I have to put a bit more thought into the amount of data on the page. The spoilers are about 70KB in size, which is a lot, and I'm conscious of the page loading times, especially when demand is at its highest. So with that in mind, I've altered it a bit. I have removed the spoiler for Total Supplies (1-4) but I've increased the Gold Box Drops spoiler to 100. The individual supply spoilers are intensionally small as they're only there to get an indication of what the top 10 or 15 druggers are doing to achieve those really big numbers. Will be in next update. Cheers!

Merci! It was 'shame' for long enough while Gabe2607 looked after the topic. Time for a bit of 'fame' perhaps? For a wee while at least! :D Swings and roundabouts! haha. :) I'm with you there and also think the 3rd spoiler is the Power Drugger list. Come to this one if you wanna recruit druggers for your clan! Disclaimer: Any similarity to actual tankers, playing or not, is purely coincidental.

Hope you like the new format! New topic ownership! Hi, I've taken the baton for this topic and I'll do my best to keep it current and accurate. There are conditions to meet and there are 11 spoilers now on the front page. About the conditons. I wanted to ensure those players who play and use supplies regularly, have a chance of making some of these lists. There is no point in adding someone to the Supplies Per Hour list if they have only played 5 hrs but achieved a 400+ S/hr rate. Those inactive players, blocked or just not played for a while, will get checked but won't appear in the lists. 1. Total Supply Usage (1-5) This list doesn't include Gold Boxes. It includes mines which can grossly change the rankings because some players love mine-writing. 2. Supplies per hour (1-5) This list can include newer, less established players. You don't have to have used a gazillion supplies to make this list. 3. The Power Drugger List (1-3) To me, this is the real drugger list as everyone has a surplus of speed boosts and mines they can usually waste to inflate their drugging numbers. Supplies 1,2&3 are there for the more serious player. 4. The non mine-writing list (1-4) If you're on this list but not list 1, then you're probably not a great mine user. 5. Gold Boxes dropped. I've limited this to the top 50 gold box droppers. 6. Face value of supplies So if RK=150 and the rest=50 crystals each, this would be the face value of your usage. Of course we buy kits with big discounts and tanki give free supplies out too so don't read too much into this one. 7-11. Individual supply usage (1-5) Not so interesting but the curious might want to know how the top druggers got so high on the main lists. Using 1.5M mines will definitely get you noticed. About the number of players in each list. I know Gabe2607 maintained a list of 200 at one point. My list will be much bigger but I don't want to publish each and every stat so I'm limiting the main 4 lists to 100 players, 50 for golds (may increase) and 20 players for everything else. Any feedback?
  24. Nah, you're ok. Wish you well with the topic.
  25. You mean like, Fan, Humour, Pitch and Prophet? I think acceptable nicknames for this topic should fall into certain categories fun names, eg, Delish, Scrummy, Mr.Meanour etc describes a person or their character, eg, Bubbly, Corrosive, Curvy, Hot-Headed, Worthless, Reprehensible describes a person's state, condition or quality , eg, Innocence, Purity, Wretched, Unhinged names that fit a turret, eg, Ablaze, Burnup, Inciner8, Inflame, Igniter, Red-Hot, Primer (would all suit Firebirds) sciency or techy type names, eg, Exoplanet, Deep Impact, GravityAssist, Pathfinder (nerds love these names - I should know) names that describe their nature or intent, eg, Penaliser, NoFear, LawAndOrder, Engager, Ownership, Virulent Words out the dictionary are fine too unless they're words like, Unless, Words, Are, Too Who's gonna snap Bubbly up then?
