DrSaint, Evolution and religion may me two differing themes but they almost go hand in hand especially in a conversation like this one. 1. I have presented some evidence in post #48 and post #56 and you still have not. 2. I am not trying to impose my moral conscious on any one. It may have been presumptuous of me to say what I said and for that I apologize. I think the same can be said for you about having no idea as to why people believe in God or dis-believe evolution and you too have come up with "an illness for which there is no cure" for your own satisfaction. 3. How do you know we have different education and back ground? It is likely very true but you don'y know that to be a fact. 4. I know you where not talking to me personally but you where talking in a public forum. For you not to expect a reply for what you post in a public place for all to read is un-realistic no matter how careful you where in not addressing any particular person. I will not violate your personal space, if you do not wish to continue a respectful debate with me then I will respect that and we can end any correspondence with each other. it is not my intention to offend you or any one else here. I will continue to offer my views on this subject though and like I said if it going to be a problem then you and I can just agree to disagree right now and avoid each other for the remainder of this thread. You my friend, have NOT presented any legitimate argument for your opinion. What reasonable proof have you shown or any one else for that matter. All I have seen so far is the regurgitation of what has been adopted by most modern education systems and that is the THEORY (look up the word) of evolution. People don't want there to be a God because if there is then you know you will have to be accountable to him for your actions. It seems that you blindly believe people have blind devotion. I used to believe the same as you do, Then I actually looked into these matters and came to MY own conclusions instead of blindly believing what some one else who does not believe in creationism or God has taught me in school. I don't mind if you don't agree with me but show me why you don't. Now if you would please try to continue in a respectful manner and contribute to your opinion on the subject, I would like to hear it. I am NOT offended by others beliefs. I like to learn about other religions and I have asked some of you about things I was curious about. As a matter of fact Irontank1v has been kind enough on an occasion to answer me about the meaning of halal when I asked about it in another topic (thank you again) In my opinion this thread has been going about as well as a discussion of this magnitude can between such a diverse population. Yes there have been a couple "bumps" in the road but the Mod staff has done a good job of handling it. This is a sensitive subject and people will need to tread lightly and the Mods will need to keep a sharp eye on this one.

Agreed..It is impossible to discuss this topic with out the inclusion of the religious aspect. Not to beat a dead horse...but for the most part I think this tread has behaved quite well

It is true, many wars have been fought in the name of God. How ever it does not prove the existence or lack there of God. Nor does it prove that evolution is a scientific fact and not just a plausible "theory"

OK this is a good one to tell a girl you like. Its a little cheesy but it works. It goes like this. You ask the girl if you can show here a riddle and when she says yes (she will say yes) (if she says no she does not like you at all and you need to move on) Step 1: you take her hand in yours and hold her hand with her palm up. 2: with your other hand (finger...and gently) you "draw on her hand and arm a map showing a house on 1 side of her hand, a river running from her upper arm down threw the middle of her hand. a bridge crossing the river and a road leading up to the bridge. you following this so far??? 3: you tell her a huge rain storm is happening at the top of the hill (her upper arm) (you can wiggle you fingers on her arm like it is raining in the hills) then you say there is a flood (run you fingers, gently down her arm to her hand) and the flood washed out the bridge to the house. 4: Then tell her that the sun came out and dried up the rain (are you getting it yet? make the story any excuse to touch her hand and arm) now the house caught fire and the fire department comes to put the fire out but they can not get across the bridge (the whole time you are touching her arm and hand, don't be creepy though you have to make the story interesting enough for her to stay ingaged) 5: you ask her to figure out how the fire truck is going to get to the house to put out the fire. It can't cross the bridge and it is to far to find another way before the house burns down. 6: when she finally says I don't know, you tell her you don't know either....but it sure was nice holding her hand :P

Don't be offended!!...I am taking it you are "Religious" and that is cool...there are many different beliefs in this community. We should be able to talk about these things with out getting offended. I don't agree with the people that believe in evolution but that does not mean I don't like them. Take GoldRock for example , he states he is an Atheist ( or Agnostic I am not sure) and I disagree with his belief but I like him as a friend in Tanki and respect his opinions. As a matter of fact he articulates him self very well and is for the most part is respectful to everyone even if he disagrees with them. So please, do not be offended and take this as an opportunity to sharpen up the reasons you believe what you believe and practice being able to respectfully articulate your position on this subject. People may not see things your way and that is OK but if you present your self in a respectful manner people will at the very least listen to what you are saying. If you get all offended and say things out of line then your position on a subject will not matter but your behavior is what others will remember. Please don't take offense to me saying this, I am only trying to keep an open channel for debate o this subject. I enjoy debating these things and I love to be challenged by opposing thoughts (respectfully of course) Plus it is not my job to "convert" people I can only speak the truth the way I see it and God is the one who reveals him self to a person and can change the heart.

You might be right on your first point, however, can the same can be said for evolutionist?? I think so. It is very hard to change ones mind on matters like these that people are so entrenched in. Evolution absolutely can be denied and is being denied right now by me and many other participants of this conversation. Evolution is still a Theory and not a scientific law because it can not be empirically proven to be fact. Look into the history of education ever since evolution emerged on the scene. There are people that want any and all references to God removed from "public education" and daly life for that matter. Evolution is the almost "perfect tool" to prove God does not exist. I was an Atheist until I was 30 years old. Actually I just did not care but I leaned toward Atheism. I then seriously and with an open mind contemplated the meaning of life, the existence of God and the purpose for our existence as humans. I have investigated a lot of this stuff to my own satisfaction (religion, evolution, the existence of God and so on) I have found a lot of holes in evolution...It sounds good at first but when you really dig deeper then you will see the holes. Religion is not with out its flaws either. I don't care much for organized religion and if you study what Jesus taught he did not care much for it either. What drives my beliefs is truth...I can not deny truth even if i don't like it

Well said. that made me think of two things that are scientific laws and not theory. The law of Thermodynamics and the law of Entropy. So the argument of things evolving now is impossible according to these two scientific laws. You can not get order out of chaos. Evolution is a flawed "Theory" Even Darwin admitted it had problems. If you look closely at biological systems a lot of them can not function if you take away a single component. Take for instance an eye ball, If you take away 1 single ingredient of all that it takes to make an eye ball function it will not work at all...so how did an eye ball evolve from a single cell creature if it can not work unless all parts are there. The probability of a single protein required in the building blocks of life life being created from random chance is like 1 to the 167th power (I am not sure of the exact number) for 1 single part. So the explanation for 100's of billions of years for evolution to take place in reality it would take 100's of times longer to have made 1 single protein to even start the process of life. Also of you look at just the biological systems of the human body it would seem each system is very complex and for all the complex systems to work together (skeletal, muscular, cardio vascular, nervous and so on) to make us work seems to me to have a specific purpose which suggest a design for then all to work together. If you have a design then you have to have a designer. This planet is also in the perfect location in the universe for all this to support life. Even with the astronomical probabilities of random chance you still have to have the environment to support such a possibility which in it self is an astronomical possibility. I am just an average regular person. I do believe in God and I am a Christian, however I believed all this before I believed in God. This thought process I guess helped to pull me toward believing in God. After pondering these things on evolution, the existence of God just made sense to me. After studying the Bible ( and I was very skeptical) I have come to believe the good book
