Personally I think Ricochet is best because you can stay slightly back from the main conflict and still wreck some major face.
-
Two questions: 1. Zeus or Lumberjack 2. What should I do for my Gissmo rank up? I am 1.2k exp away, need an idea. Obviously the screen shot is going to become my wallpaper...

Smoky M2. Hands down.
-
Medic - 8/10 because Cherry is outclassed by Rock Jackhammer - 9/10 because Tiger is the best Hammer protection paint Raiden - 7/10 because both Thunder M3 and Viking M3 need HEAVY MU's to be at their best. Clay is better than Emerald in terms of overall effectiveness. My recommendation: Jackhammer

Tundra IMO (I still use it as my primary Railgun paint). Roger is outclassed easily later on, but Tundra will provide great protection for how little it costs. Fracture is not worth it, paying 7000 crystals more to REDUCE Railgun protection and plop in a wimpy 12% Vulcan protection. Tundra all the way.

Normally I would say go for a better turret first, but in your case I think you need a hull. Specifically, a medium hull. However, I would get Hornet M2 now and save up for an M2 hull so you do not have to buy an M1 version and waste the crystals on it.
-
M2 Smoky is by far the most OP M2 turret, followed by M2 Firebird. I would go with one of those two. P.S. There really isn't a mid in Island, it's so tiny. :P
-
In regular battles Wasp is the best to do a quick snatch-and-run of the flag, but otherwise I think that Hornet is better.
-
Hornet/Isida or Hammer/Viking is what I would do (I already use Hornet/Isida, and it is great when you have lots of teammates.) If you do not play with teammates a lot, then Viking/Isida is another viable option.

Rock and Zeus are the two best paints for Polygon because the two most popular turrets in that map are Firebird and Twins. I got Rock and am extremely happy with it, and will be getting Zeus at Christmas. I recommend that you get Rock and get Titan later because Hunter is a great hull for Polygon when paired with Hammer or Smoky.
-
With Tundra as your primary paint you do not need to get a paint until you get to at least a 2-Star General.
-
By gravity currents, you mean like in Super Mario Galaxy? Cause that would throw off all of the weapons that have projectiles (Twins, Ricochet, etc). I LIKE IT! :)
-
Rule of Thumb: go for the M3 That being said, Ricochet is DEADLY in the hands of a skilled user. Not everyone can use Ricochet well, but those who can can wreck face with It. I used Ricochet M2 until I got it M3 at Tanki's B-Day, and while I might not have been on top of the leaderboard too much, I still was in the top half almost every time. Thunder M3 >= Ricochet M2 (if you have the skills) > Freeze M2

The SMPs are only in effect for one month, so in order to have it active through December you would need to buy the pass 3 times. So the question becomes, do you want to spend 15,000 crystals to get 50% exp boost for three months, or 15,000 crystals to get 100% exp boost for one month?
-
I got Rock for the superior Twins protection (I see a lot of them in Polygon), and I am going to buy Zeus instead of Inferno because Zeus has Smoky protection while Inferno has Twins protection, which I do not need since I have Rock.

Ricochet M1, or Thunder M1
-
How about swapping the effects of Smoky and Railgun? So Smoky would fire at the same rate, but it would fire a Railgun shot each time, while Railgun would shoot at the same rate but only fire a Smoky shot each time! (Can anyone say this would be incredibly unbalanced?!?!?!?!?!)

There was a map like this. It was called Moon Madness, and it basically had no gravity, so parkourists loved it. Here is a YouTube video of it - https://youtu.be/TEQEx4E8k2I

I highly disagree with the last statement. It is almost always best to get a good turret first, then a good hull, then a halfway decent paint. Dealing damage is more important than being able to absorb it, and if necessary you can always stay in one spot and use a long-range weapon (camping).
-
You are only 2 ranks away from unlocking Freeze M3, so do not waste your crystals on Freeze M2. Roger is decent, but once you are able to get Freeze M3 you will be in battles with opponents who use its big brother, Rock. So I wouldn't get Roger either. Save up and get am M3 paint later (2-Star General at least).
-
Vulcan M2 is going to become very under powered soon for you. M3 hulls are close to your rank, and Vulcan M3 doesn't unlock until about 5 ranks after M3 hulls start unlocking. I would recommend if you still want to use Vulcan M2 to get Mammoth M2 and a strong Firebird resistant paint, like Loam.
-
I didn't think about that. Thanks for the input!

Umm, I think that Firebird will beat Smoky 1v1 any day (given the same hull and no protective paints). Also Freeze, Twins...

Ok, at Christmas, I am planning to have around 500k crystals. Assuming (haha) a 50% sale during Christmas, and knowing that I will rank by then, here is what I have and am thinking of buying: I have: M3: Isida, Thunder, Ricochet, Hornet, Titan M2: Firebird, Railgun Paints: Tundra, Rustle, Rock I am thinking of getting: Smoky M3 (268,600) Clay (250,000) Zeus (250,000) ------------------------------- 768,600 / 2 = 384,300 500,000 - 384,300 = 115,700 left My Question: What should I get with the remaining 115,700 crystals?
-
Well, I would recommend for hull to get Viking or Titan. Viking is the most versatile hull in the game, and Titan is great at sitting on a spot and not moving. For turret, Thunder would pair well with both of them, or Ricochet, but you would probably need to practice with it A LOT before you can use it properly. Paints, I would go with Clay for the Thunder/Railgun/Ricochet protection. It will work well in ny map that you play on.
