Yes, the spectator thingy is not a big deal. I was quoting examples to show that the system is different. The differences don't really matter to me, I'm just curious to know the reasons. The differences in the Chinese version is understandable cause of the restrictive laws over there. As far as I know, this is not the case with Brazil. So... yeah.

Yes, I knew that the EN community could once apply for spectator mode and creative league membership. I've been here for two years. But, the past isn't relevant in this case. They're doing it entirely different. When the EN players could apply for the Creative League, it was through a contest where you had to edit a pic and add 100 tanks to it. Au contraire, the BR version of the Creative League has two sections: those who edit images and those who create videos. And you can directly apply to them, which isn't the case here. As for spectator mode, you can apply over there by leaving a post in the forum as compared to how we had to apply using a Google form. Also, the BR creative league page isn't mentioned in the EN, RU and DE Creative League pages and vice versa. It's like they've got an entirely different system. And no, they're not a new community. It's been over a year since the launch of the BR community. I just want to know if they've got a different system than the others and if so, why?

Why has the brazilian admininstration made it possible to apply for spectator and creative league membership? Shouldn't their policies be similar to that of the other communities? Or is this somehow related to a lesser Brazilian playerbase?
-
Yes, but why would they do that? Won't that hurt their 'fragile economy'? According to them, 50% sales (which are pretty rare) can hurt the economy; but won't giving buyers double funds every single day hurt it? After all, they are the ones who pay money for crystals to tanki. And crystals cost a lot more than a premium account does (ie for m2 ranks and higher). This is just beyond me. Maybe, the reason which MusicJam19 suggested is right. Even so...
-
I don't get why tanki gave a 100% boost of crystals to premium accounts. That's dumb. It may make premium accounts seem more attractive for buyers but it's also reducing the amount of money they get from people buying crystals.

You guys are ignoring the fact that there is Ruby in the account's garage. Definitely a dev.

I don't really see why having different language communities is needed. Most people in the world can understand English at a basic level. What would be more important would be having servers in other places than Netherlands. The population of the players is highly spread out, you know.

Is that freestyle rendering? Looks pretty cool! As for the second part, why not both? :P After all, you can never have too much awesomeness!
-
Okay, that's pretty good. But tanki isn't really aiming at photorealism. It's that cartoonish look which is it's essence. The demo of tanki online 2.0 also had some pretty good and realistic graphics for it's time, and considering how it was on flash.

The graphics of tanki X are just amazing for a browser game! I would be willing to switch over to it whether they transfer the current account progress or not. I know that this is an MMO, but I wish that there were some lore in tanki X. It would enhance the gaming experience so much...

[Issue 42] Why a 40% Off Sale is Better than 50% Off
I.WalkAlone replied to sonofchrysalis3 in Newspaper Archive
Wow. So, according to you, an argument with valid and well presented points is 'gossip'? And I don't really see what's wrong with criticising some of the updates which developers release as long as it's constructive... It's not like creeperskelly is screaming "Nub developers! Y no 50%?" It's a balanced and unbiased view. Unlike that of some of the current reporters... -
Here is the final version of my dragon: This wasn't the original colour, though. It was originally turquoise, but I decided to change it then while editing the render passes in photoshop.

Simpler way: 1. Take an iPhone. 2. Put in oven at highest temperature for some time (or in lava like Techrax did). Et voila! You have made apple crisp and removed trash from your house at the same time! (Joking about this part, K? So don't come yelling at me about how apple is great and so on)

In the second step they're bringing (3+√8) from the right to the left side which reduces the power of the polynomial on the left side by 1.

Ha ha, yes, I hope to do so soon. Been a bit busy lately Yup, it is.

4 million to be precise, lol. Btw, out of curiosity, which program did you try sculpting in?
-
I've added more detail to my dragon/sea monster (I'll call it whatever it looks more like, xD). Here's a screenshot: I also painted it a bit, but it doesn't look good enough yet, so I'll post a pic of that after adjusting the colors and strokes.

It's a pity that you have to leave. You were a great contributor to this community. Good luck for your future! Will always remember this beautiful poem of yours:

[Issue 42] Why a 40% Off Sale is Better than 50% Off
I.WalkAlone replied to sonofchrysalis3 in Newspaper Archive
Well said! Now, since you are aware about how tanki is a business and needs money to run, I assume that you'll decline to get paid crystals for your articles? After all, no pay is better than getting paid, right? Just like how 40% is better than 50% in terms of sales? After all, the crystals you get for the artices may hurt the economy... -
I just started learning zbrush. Here is a sculpt of mine: Gonna add more detail to it soon.

It depends really on what you wish to do. They both have different functions. Vegas pro is used for video editing while after effects is used for VFX and compositing. Vegas pro can also do some compositing but ae is better at it and vice versa. Since you've mentioned that you wish to do video editing, Vegas pro is better for it. You should also consider Premiere Pro by Adobe for video editing. Personally, I prefer Premiere Pro's interface.

This is what happens when you place restrictions on VOTW. The content was waaay better and diverse when it had no topic. The rest of the v-log was good, though.

Intel core i3 @ 2.6 Ghz 4 GB RAM Intel HD graphics (1 GB) If only I had known that I could've gotten a way better PC by building it instead of spending it on an all-in-one which costed $600. Ugh.. When I was a total noob regarding computers. -_-

Other [Issue 40] A Spectator's View of Humanity: Music!
I.WalkAlone replied to sonofchrysalis3 in Newspaper Archive
The article is well written, but music is highly subjective to one's preference. I prefer songs with lyrics as it is fun to relate the lyrics to your own life or to sing it. With electronic music, you can't really do that. It sounds good but it doesn't relate to you. Though, I guess I do agree that songs with lyrics probably aren't best to listen to while playing tanki.
