[Issue 44] The Dumbest Anti-supply Arguments of All-Time!

How much I may dislike Vulcan also: I won 't blame the driver or think that he 's a coward. He 's just a player who got himself OP power because simply: it 's been made available. Tanki Online is the one should be blamed for allowing this unbalanced turret to destroy as many battles as it does today. It 's not the first turret to do this though: Freeze was once (it 's now soon renamed Cooler I guess) a true battle destroyer, Rico had a short go at it during the "Ricopocalypse" and too many Shafts in one battle before the laser scope also meant a battle that just wasn 't worth it anymore. Certainly a M3/M4 Vulcan with heavy hull, a Firebird paint and supply usage is a complete gamechanger. Not even talking about two of those which translates into: better get the hell out of here! And you don 't have to be a genius to make a Vulcan a weapon of mass-destruction... Like Vulcan is the only weapon that has to do this. All three close range turrets and Twins simply won 't work without exposing themselves. Same with Vulcan, you have to spin-up and go out of cover to make (many...) kills. Railgun a coward gun because they often hide? It 's again simply how this turret works the best. And if you are getting fed up with one, just pay it a visit and "thank" it for shooting at you. ;)

For the Tankers that weren 't playin the game already at the year that is being described, the history of Tanki can indeed be boring...nevertheless it 's good that TO 's history has also been recorded in the V-Logs now. And personally I 'm really looking forward to 2013: the year that hulls in Tanki Online became faster and made the game a lot (really a lot) more dynamic!

Depends imo. Hornet got choosen as best with many turrets: simply because it is the most popular hull in TO. Not because it is necessarily the "best". You really got to have a complete set of skills to make the combo Hornet/Smoky work. It won 't work if someone is awesome in aiming, but on the same time lacks decent enough driving skills. The beauty of Hornet imo is the awesome speed combined with the centralized hull which means that your combo more or less stays in the "same" shape. No matter if you are moving back- or forwards. (Wasp changes a lot when the turret is going from standard to "Mosquito" and vice versa. Better for peek-a-boo, imo not that good when you want to make a fast transition: though Wasp compensates this by being able to make very tight turns so you can stay in the mostly preferred Mosquito shape.) It shouldn 't even matter to you in which direction you drive your Hornet and it has to become a second nature. This way you can for example back off while firing at your opponent and circling around an enemy can be done instantly clockwise or anti-clockwise. Shooting (and hitting...) while driving is also a "must". If you have to stop to aim and shoot: don 't choose a light hull (yet). If a tanker hasn 't developed this skills enough, than that is a recipe for disaster: because the combo only works if you can avoid a lot of damage! And because of the low HP/armour of Hornet, health kits are not a good working solution either. Under fire you die in seconds anyway and imo it 's much better to use DD instead of DA with light hulls. Keep DA and health kits for the medium or even better heavy hulls in your garage! So in the case described above I wouldn 't recommend Hornet/Smoky at all, but instead something like Titan/Smoky will be a far better choice. Smoky is a very balanced weapon, which makes it a good choice on every hull. In the end: just choose the hull with Smoky that suits you! :)

No, there are more paints with a possible 50% protection. List of advanced Paints with Smoky protection: zero MU - full MU Hohloma 22% → 33% Savanna 40% → 50% Jade 25% → 50% Tiger 30% → 50% Nano 20% → 30% Needle 48% → 50% Zeus 25% → 50%

True! Beautiful pictures, though it 's very hard to take ugly pictures in NZ nature... ;) Been in New-Zealand for five months (quite some years ago) Did tracks on both Islands and felt like I was in paradise! Beautiful nature: loved the scenery, mountains, volcano 's, the bush, the tree ferns, the pohutekawa ofcourse which was blooming... ;) and it wasn 't hard to fantasise an encounter with a Moa or even more crazy: something out of Jurassic Park... Never forgot the ride from the airport to Lower-Hutt where my emigrated Dutch family was living at that time. My nephew worked for DOC and we saw an animal crossing the road...instead of an evasive action my nephew did everything to hit it?! It turned out to be a possum and I soon learned about "1080" and all that was done to keep their numbers low to save the forest and its beautiful birds. Never will forget the sounds of a tui or a bellbird...or the kia 's wanting to rip my tent to shreds... :D Yes, you are lucky Kiwi 's (and sheep...) to live in such a great country! Really hope I 'll be able to visit the most beautiful country I 've been to again, some day in the future! +++

Happy, and at the same time a bit sad to receive Tanki Online 's final Rank: the interesting and mostly exciting journey toward it is over now.

Tanki X: really hope it comes with customizable keys. Does some staffmember hear anything about this? (using WASD and QE now. Especially the "mine-key"=5 is pretty "hard" to reach. I would like to place mines on M for example (next to the turret kets < and > )

Agreed, Freeze is nerfed way to much and could be better called Cooler. If you want a close range turret that works: Firebird or Isida

you got it! :D

Berlin is an awesome map, but it does give glitches and errors, I guess it 's up to the limit what Adobe 's Flash can handle/calculate. TX won 't have that problem and can even have bigger Maps. Berlin could make a great comeback.
