After a long time playing almost solely Hunter, I finally took the protection cover of my trusty Hornet and took it to battles again today. Together with Smoky not the strongest combo around: no match against one shot Hammers for example, but hey I take that for granted (most of the time...) enjoy the game and still keep on learning! :wub: Hornet/Smoky with Prodigi Another DM battle, now in Polygon. Late entry but managed to get on top. Love Hornet 's speed, racing through the map and being a "mass murderer"... ;) And the final one for today, again late entry. D/L of 4, really did wonders not playing Hornet for a while it seems! :) (not getting killed that 's the trick)

Yes, a CP is like a seesaw now. Your team looses points if they don 't hold the CP-point(s). Yesterday I was in a Polygon Pro CP and we were clearly leading when we had a lag. After the long lag many of our team had left and the substitutes were...how to put it mildly...less skilled. ;) So it went completely the other way around after the lag and we lost big time. That 's CP now. Like "Forrest Gump" would say (slightly altered): "CP is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you 're gonna get"

Yes, some do I guess. But you haven 't tested the new CP mode yet, so what to think about your comment? ;) The garage update is good, if they can (don 't know if they can) make some tweaks it can be great. The CP mode is just bad. I think about quiting that mode completely. Best battles imo were longer CP battles: but you have to be pretty nuts to go on a lengthy CP now or another possibility: you like to gamble a lot... edit: forgot the third option: you are part of a take-over team or as I look at them: plain fundrobbers. -_-

A pretty large Map, no supplies, no MU 's...just you and your tank and a lot of fun: what more do you need? Tanki at its best, well if you like DM 's that is... :) Hornet/Smoky with Prodigi (as you can see in the picture my last fight wasn 't planned to be very succesful... :D )

First you say the CP update is good...and next your story is rather negative about it. So is it really good?

Heb je die Minions als zwarte pieten nog gezien dan? Dat was pas echt een faal. Over een paar jaar zijn we, geloof het of niet, allemaal gewend aan de regenboogpieten of zoiets. Dit is zo 'n proces dat als het eenmaal in gang is, niet meer terug te draaien is. Elk jaar een paar steden meer waar je andere pieten ziet en de media begint ook al inderdaad hun standpunten te veranderen. Wat ik echt fout vind aan de hele discussie dat er het label van racisme wordt opgeplakt, terwijl dat geen enkele rol speelt. En de mensen die vaak nu zo ineens gekwetst zijn door zwarte piet, vierden vroeger dit feest als kind ook zelf met veel plezier. Het is nu net of je ouders en jij vroeger "fout" waren: je vierde een feest met racistische bijbedoelingen... :huh: Een kind is daar al helemaal niet mee bezig, die vind alles goed en gelooft ook alles. Zwarte piet komt door de schoorsteen...terwijl je de huizen met een schoorsteen toch aardig moet zoeken tegenwoordig. :)

Je was van de leg en je trok ook helemaal wit weg? :P

The same here. I use plenty of DD 's and won 't change that in regular battles. Mostly trying to find some neutral ground, instead of choosing sides between those who claim drugs/supplies should be removed/nerfed, and the ones like our topic starter who thinks that supplies and skill are somehow related. Well, let me tell you that the players who use all their supplies all the time are often way too cocky in their gameplay, and don 't care much about cover and more clever ways to play the game. No, instead they rely on healthkits to save the day. It works (especially on heavy hulls), but till a certain degree. They certainly don 't improve your gameplay and it actually kills skills imo. Vulnerability on the battlefield teaches you more than being untouchable.

Something like that would be perfect, but I guess it 's not easy to program. So instead they choose this "standard for all" lay-out. Whatever it is, it 's better imo than what we had. For example for the paints I always had to scroll way way back. That 's been reduced a lot. Another suggestion I read and like would be a button with which you can eliminate all items that you haven 't got in your personal garage. Won 't help some high rankers....but for the majority it would be a great help. Again, probably a question of programming difficulties.

But that him and other locked turret players can win has totally nothing to do with an abundant use of supplies isn 't it... ;) It sometimes drives me mad when such a player kills me in seconds, on the other hand when I do manage to park my hull at their side and my opponent is dancing an unwilling deadly tango with me, while my Smoky is right in his face... :D

Shaft does suck. And camping heavy hull Shafts suck by definition. -_- Firebird is good and way OP at M2 and certainly at M3/M4. Even if you win, that driving barbecue almost always takes you with him to the grave. <_< Pretty nub gameplay though imo, but if that suits the player :P : definitely go for it!

VULCAN !!!!! edit: just played a Kungur Pro CTF battle. Gameplay completely ruined by three Vulcans on the opponents side and two Vulcans on ours. Ofcourse the Vulcans got full attention of the Isidas: gaining XP like crazy... Good luck killing them. Reminded me of the role Shaft once occupied on the battlefield. They could completely lock a CTF game so nothing except exchanging fire and some futile attempts to cap a flag happened. With Vulcan it 's the same: even worse they can continuously fire through the narrowest of gaps. Not many safe places with Vulcans around. Thanked all the Vulcans for ruining the battle! Not that it will help...only TO can fix it and I think it 's about time for a proper rebalance of the turrets.

True, some combo 's don 't need much player input to perform well: on drugs they become almost invincible. A heavy hull with double armour.. (pressing 2 on the keyboard: I agree this is very, very diffult...takes ages to master!) and willing to use plenty of healthkits..(even more confusing: you need to press 1...close to 2, so good luck pressing the right key!) is hard to kill which in the @sonofchrysalis3 world translates to super skilled I guess... -_- Don 't even talk about the many Firebird, Ricochet etc. combo 's with in many cases Viking that can 't even turn their turret. Were talking about Generalissimo 's here, no kidding. Still, equipped with a MU 'd easy-play combo, a superb paint and especially plenty of supplies (probably one of those supplykits you can buy for peanuts at the higher ranks) they do pretty, pretty well... and than this TO writer says, quote: "You can buy a ten-thousand pack of supplies and use them incessantly, but if you are unskilled, you are going to waste every one of those supplies." :D Really, you actually believe that, or do you want to believe that? It 's the latter that 's for sure imo. Nobody will deny, at least I won 't that using supplies effectively, mines for example, takes some skill. (you can use this sentence in a possible reply, to show others that I "agree" with you...) But saying that supply use takes a skilled player, otherwise it 's a waste...plz take of these TO-coloured glasses of your nose and see the reality for once.

Thanks, will try that! Time to get a Pro Battle pass, been a while. Done, I 'm no longer going to put DD s of 50 crystals each in these CP supply-battles, where the outcome (fund you receive) is completely unclear.
