I don't have a video of it, but you can do a simple experiment to see it for yourself... just have a wasp drive off a wall or something with a higher wall next to him so thunders can shoot the wall above him and speed up his fall btw, I just tested with one thunder and it doesn't seem push the tank into the ground, but still better to repeat it with more thunders before making any conclusions...
-
I never noticed if a splash can push a tank into the ground like other shots do, it might be different since it doesn't rotate the tank but pushes it evenly, that's a thing to experiment with. I'll test it. But if the tank is in the air and a splash hits him from above he will definitely accelerate downwards.
-
It can. Splash pushes to all directions equally.

You made a mistake in your experiment. What rotates your tank is the position of your turret on the hull, it's not perfectly centered so the recoil from the turret rotates the hull. I took some screenshots to explain it: You can repeat it yourself in the game. A proper experiment you can do to see for yourself that the push of the splash is always relative to the center of your hull is by doing a basic thunder jump when the jumper stands with just the edge of his tank beyond the edge (like in the screenshot in the spoiler below) and you'll see how the tank gets pushed based on what I explained in my previous reply, without the front of the tank rotating upwards and going any higher than the back of the tank. The jumper will remain perfectly straight in the air and will move without getting rotated. And here's a video where you can see it happening: *link* (in the rest of the jumps in this video the jumper is spinning in the air but that is only because the jumper himself shot)

Read the conversation and see what I said and what you replied to it... All I said is that I'm gonna add to the myths topic the fact that dying tanks don't really have a splash. I explained clearly enough that it is not a splash, I never said that there is no somewhat similar effect caused by something else when the tank dies so I don't see why you even talk like I said it - in fact I said exactly the opposite (that there is such a thing). Here's a bonus detailed explanation for you: When a tank self destructs he will show an explosion animation that is purely visual and has no splash or any impact at all. What does have an effect is that the tank gets randomly pushed - a random side of the tank will be lifted up a little and the tank will pretty much always (at least on flat ground) turn to the left which causing him to bump into near by tanks. And just because you like messing with small details, here you go - it doesn't affect all the near by tanks in range in all directions. If a self destructing tank rides another tank and explodes in mid air he won't push the tank under him down towards the ground. Also, if you will stand and even touch the self destructing tank in the corners that will rotate away from you when he self destructs, it won't affect you either. Sounds annoying that I pick you on such a small detail of such a rare case, right? It's also annoying how you take what I say out of context and argue with something I never even said... so please stop it. Thank you for your understanding.

The number of pellets was decreased from 21 to 9, and the amount of marks that can stay without disappearing is 10. means now the hammer needs to shoot twice to remove everything, but yeah still true, hammer is still great for removing marks. thanks for reminding me about it tho, I should update it and say one shot isn't enough anymore

Livestream with Cedric and Hazel-Rah - DATE & TIME ANNOUNCED

That makes me think about tanki needing to stop bringing new stuff for a while to take care of everything that's already in the game, there are a lot of imperfections in the current features and the focus should be on getting these things right before complicating this game even more and getting things more messy. It is good that tanki keeps developing, it's just that sometimes they don't focus on the right things... -
more skill compared to using thunder similarly... why so close minded? :\
-
except the splash always pushes you in the same direction no matter what part of the tank it hits - imagine an arrow starting at the center of the explosion and going through the center of your tank, this is the direction of the push :) even if that arrow goes through solid ground.
-
it's the movement of the dying tank itself that physically pushes the other tanks, there is no splash there.

1. are there any plans for taking care of small annoyances in the near future? like fixing the 2 minute pause problem (for example making pause time increase depending on battle length and maybe amount of time spent in the battle), fixing parkour mode (like removing the sky kill zone and equipment change cooldown) and so on... 2. there is a lot of talking about tanki being desperate to make more money because of all the recent additions to the game that cost real money (the shop, gold box supplies, clan license) or just give players a lot of new stuff to buy (like alterations), a long time of everyone getting double crystal cards every day... and the amount of players in tanki keeps dropping... is there anything to worry about? because it does look like tanki is going down the drain (financially)... -
added another thing to the list - it can be used as a cool victory dance when u land sideways on a house :D
-
yes you need more skill to hit yourself with hammer when doing these tricks, but when you do it is better than thunder in some cases. ofc hammer won't replace thunder, but it adds a lot to OMP
-
yep, but there's no splash :P
-
Added the myth about the splash of dying tanks explosion
-
you didn't read the list, did you? it includes the uses for both double damage and trolls who kill in parkour battles. ofc trolls will be more annoying than useful unless you come with the intention to use them for parkour, but yeah... still useful! :P
-
actually for most tricks you'll need to shoot yourself only once so the tricks themselves don't require supplies, but yeah if you don't get flipped when u fail you will need some armor to not have to repair or sd between attempts
-
that's something to add to myths and facts topic... there is no splash for exploding tanks. lol

Parkour with new Hammer characteristics
SwiftSmoky replied to SwiftSmoky in Parkour with new Hammer characteristics Archive
Hammer pellets can now bounce off walls once, means you can shoot yourself or hit the floor to shoot someone up. I experimented with it a a little and here is some of what I found out so far: Flip sideways and then shoot straight down - you'll make a bunch of flips. I can make 2 flips and land on tracks with wasp m1 hammer m2... with hammer m4 it'll be 4 flips, and with wasp m0 even more! turn with your side to a wall and shoot it from close so the pellets will bounce back into the turret, it'll flip you sideways or more depending on your equipment, can even make a flip like this! jump down from somewhere to aim straight down at the ground and then shoot, you'll make flips and might land in handstand again so you'll be able to shoot again and make more flips and keep repeating it until you run out of ammo dip down from a low bridge or platform and shoot straight down to save yourself from falling can climb 1 prop height objects like the red/blue containers alone with wasp hammer do any OMP trick that is usually done with thunder shooting straight down, chances are it'll work better with hammer (at least with wasp m1) shoot the ground next to a player to lift him up or flip him landing stunts - landing sideways on houses is now better than landing right on tracks because then you can make a landing stunt when unflipping yourself, that's a better victory dance than the classic swing (which isn't as impressive as it was before when it could get steeper) feel free to share what you did with it! :P- 15 replies

it's only how u decide your background will look, it's not even a thing in the game lol... so that one is just for looks or you could use it to see when you have to shoot a jumper that flies high up in the sky (like when he covers that statue in Rio skybox) though I'm not gonna add it to the list cause I don't feel it deserves a place there since it's not really a thing in the game but just a different background image
-
nothing of what I listed here is useful only for looks :P
-
beautiful thumbnails! :D
-
I like that part  how many tricks did u see anyway? lol
