What is that thing doing in lieutenant battles??
-
Hit and run strategies are mainly used with Hammer, so you must specify what type of gameplay you're more into. Hammer is also better at knocking off enemies aim. It's also possible with Ricochet but to a lesser extent. I see that most of your in-game hours are in ctf matches, so for those you can expect a similar performance from both turrets and no clear winner. But since you already have an m2 Thunder, Hammer is already similar to it, in that it deals high damage but with large time intervals between. A high DPS turret, which is one that shoots continuously, is something you'll need to get you through the middle ranks (a.k.a. buyers paradise).

I use both of them in battles, and I always find Ricochet to be more reliable. It has better DPS, better range, and its ricochet effect is more useful than Hammer's. This makes it superior in deathmatch battles (basically for killing). But I'm talking about stock turrets here, a Hammer with the duplet alteration can still perform incredibly well in battles where its module isn't that widespread. Taking modules into account, both turrets suffer from an abundance of modules the higher you go on the rank ladder, but I still believe Ricochet can adapt better to them. My advice is to go for Rico regardless of the hull you use.

I don't think it matters too much though, they may have known about this but not cared enough to change it.

I could make a video like that with the Magnum on my Michael282 account, and then ask the same question. It'd be pretty obvious that the real reason I'd be doing so well in battles is because of how lousy matchmaking is in lower ranks. Any turret that's decently upgraded and coupled with supplies is ought to get first place in a battle where the majority of hulls are m0 Wasps and Hornets.

I didn't even know this paint existed before. I'm glad I do now, because so far it's one of my best-looking paints. Edit: It is the best looking paint I have, all the other ones are either too messy or just bland.

Yea finishing that one took the shortest amount of time. The CP mission needed like 5 battles to complete.
-
Just got my own batch of missions: They could have been worse, but they're still bad enough. I have to play many battles to finish them, and in different game modes as well.

Matchmaking. There's no score in DM battles, only a kill count. And yes I've checked it, I still get one less kill and one extra death whenever I self-destruct.
-
I'll take 125 DD over a bunch of batteries to expend on a 1/20 upgraded drone.. I really want a shot effect for Railgun, or 100k even if just once. I don't care much about skins or paints (except Spectrum).

According to patch update #558, there's not supposed to be any penalty for self-destruction in matchmaking DM battles anymore, but in the ones I've played so far I still get one kill deducted whenever I do. Seems like the update hasn't taken effect yet.

So that means it'll supposedly turn with the turret, why'd they bother making it that way though? I think devs said it was to please mobile players, but I don't believe that's a very convincing reason.

I still don't understand how that hull will be able to navigate. The V-Log didn't give me a clear enough picture of that.
-
Funniest thing about it was that I saw him but decided to just give up cause my ping was pretty annoying. And that picture describes Hammer pretty well in most battles where I see it. Lol

That guy was using an overpowered alteration and calling others noobs.. because they weren't exploiting unbalanced features of the game like he was? RD can sometimes give you consistent high damage shots, but that could go either way, because at other times you may end up with several weak shots in a row.
-
Photo taken moments before disaster: You can see that ping had something to do with it. -_-
-
Oh yeah I understand how unbalanced it was before the nerf, definitely not disagreeing on that one. It was a blatant upgrade from stock, and some of the damage figures I used to get were insane. Forgot to mention that thing about scout's impact force. It seems illogical to me, but so do some other alterations. Developers may have had those nice concepts but couldn't think of any practical way they would actually work, and that isn't easy at all. I'll just assume that some futuristic technology is capable of pulling those off, since this game is supposedly set in the future.
-
Well that means you're mainly seeing the bright side of this alteration. I used it for several months before sticking to scout recently, and I've seen damage figures below 100 as much as I've seen the +2000 ones. There's no bias in the damage distribution, each shot depends on your luck. There could be battles where most of your shots are lucky ones, and battles with the opposite being true. Legends like to use it because they think every shot will deal the maximum damage, they think they can one-shot everything with double damage, even though an M4 with RD deals an average damage of ≈1361, not enough to one-shot a medium with DD. The fact that the minimum damage is 1 severely impacts the average damage value, but nobody looks at that number, only the maximum. They also assume the faster reload time means its far superior to LCR, but it's only that way to keep their DPS similar to each other.
-
Round destabilization gives a higher damage per second, so in that sense it's better than LCR. On the other hand, LCR gives more reliable damage outputs which eliminates the possibility of getting weak shots. RD is more of a gamble to use, you're not going to one-shoot medium hulls every time, but you always will if you use LCR. I have them both, and it seems they're quite balanced. I've knocked off the aim of enemies so many times with scout that I have to consider it an additional advantage, an advantage that requires some skill to utilize. It retains all of stock Railgun's impact force, and it shoots more frequently, so you have more attempts to unleash that power on their hulls. LCR requires you to use double damage and look for tanks to destroy in one shot, simple as that, gameplay with scout is more of an adventure.

You deserve a lot more recognition for this, it looks just like the works of a professional, well done!

It's probably demolisher, since that's the name of the event, even though both words mean the same thing.

So if you run into a double damage box then follow it with a triple damage box, will the effects add up? I'm assuming the effect of the triple box only will affect the tank. If so, then players must avoid taking any double damage box before it, because that would mean one wasted DD box for the team.- 2,764 replies

I know, there's nothing wrong with that, especially when organized with a group of friends. Go ahead and enjoy it.
