Well to be fair most of those updates (cosmetics, challenges, wars, containers, limited time offers, etc..) have brought renewed sources of income for tanki, which in turn are used to help keep the game running, and in making the switch from flash to the more optimized engine HTML5.

I remember my rank up to legend. Made a stadium battle, only russians joined. I had no idea what anyone was saying so I killed a Wasp/Hammer player and ranked up, although I do think that was an accidental move, but whatever. I then dropped some golds I had for them, because there's no rank up without golds am I right? Everyone left soon after that... fun isn't it. :rolleyes:

So that's why some of my shots with plasma torch deal no damage at all. It's pretty annoying, because it often gives the enemy more room to use a repair kit and escape, or to finish me off when I'm out of ammo. Kill stealing is also prone to happen when you can't take down someone quickly enough.

Getting non-stop 50 batteries now. So far I've accumulated 250 of them on my alt and main account just in the past few days.

Oh, thought this topic just wanted proof that it's possible to get first place with these alterations. Guess I misunderstood the purpose of it then, oops.

That also happens to me a lot. Perhaps it could be a latency issue, but I'm not certain.

Of course you can revive it, just focus on playing missions. I've gone down to zero crystals several times before, and it was always the daily and weekly rewards from missions that would bump them back up.

Since I've gotten first place with my stock Ricochet several times, a destabilized plasma Ricochet is technically capable of doing the same thing. They have the same DPS, and the ricochet effect is often not utilized in deathmatch battles anyway.

Maybe someday we'll see that happen, with a new update/alteration that would change players minds.

After two years of being in the game, Magnum still remains an annoying turret. Shaft's sniper shots, in my opinion, have always been more irritating than the arcade shots. The RFM alteration just made me hate encountering them up-close. You mean the overdrives right? That's a good idea. I think it's better if that could be left for a separate topic, so as to keep this one a little less general and more limited to a certain aspect of the game.

Since this topic suddenly came back to life, I realized it's better to update the chart again. Gauss is now included. Votes for Hammer have leveled off, most likely because of the duplet nerfs. Railgun is being chosen more often, and I can see why; Hornet's overdrive works in synergy with Railgun's higher damage alterations like LCR and RD.

Now we're talking, let me equip that M0 Vulcan of mine and start dominating some battles. B) On a serious note though, I don't think I've ever seen that combo in a battle, maybe in some parkour maps, but that's it. Also please deduct points from anyone using the fidget spinner paint.

It is pretty funny and sad at the same time. When that happens to me, I just sigh and..well...keep going,. What I find bizarre is how you're encountering this many Vikings in battles, because I often see a variety of hulls in any given match, with usually 2-3 Vikings on an enemy team.

The more I think of it, questions like this are interesting because of the way they make you imagine stuff. Another paradox goes like: "What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object?" That could be left for a different topic if anyone is interested.

Viking's overdrive is such a rarity (4min20s <_< ) that I can't afford to squander it, so I'd refrain myself from using it on one tank. But if I somehow ended up in a mood where I couldn't tolerate a certain player, I'd just go for it. Having at least retaliated against a guy that was causing me trouble is a good feeling, and sometimes it could be more satisfying than a victory.

Some Wasps I encounter will drop their bombs if a butterfly lands on them. There's two conditions that would make me use my overdrive on one player; if he's equipped with a heavy module against my turret, or if he already killed me like 3 times in the same battle (which gets pretty annoying).

Enabling sound does increase your awareness of your surroundings. I only recently started to enable it for every battle, in the past I had it mostly disabled. The sound you hear from activating a supply for example can reveal the presence of a nearby enemy about to attack with double damage (or just your teammates using them).

Yes that's right. Though some turrets' shots instantaneously hit a target, so it will be easier for them. V-Log 177 shows some bugs encountered with Juggernaut before its release, one of which made speed boosts add up when using a drone. I can imagine driving this hull will look like that, at the 1:50 mark in the video. -
It's kind of a dumb move when some Viking users activate their overdrive only to kill you because they couldn't win in a 1v1. But I'm also guilty of doing that sometimes.

Imagine having a hull that can be taken down in one shot from Thunder. -
Not everything can be accurately tested on the test server, even if months before release. Sometimes you need a large player base to be able to fully determine all the factors that will influence the effectiveness of an alteration when released in the main servers. I'm not saying devs are saints and haven't made any mistake, because they have made a lot, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're irresponsible when it comes to stuff like balancing, because the task isn't easy.
