It's true that you can still use it with Wasp effectively, but it's not a particularly impressive combo, especially compared to Viking Freeze. Wasp dies too easily, and considering the nerf Freeze received regarding the turret slowdown, it's not a good choice anymore. Well that's similar to most other turrets who've basically had their roles changed by their own augments. And whether it is a useful asset depends on the player using it, not denying its potential significance, but you also need to have someone who genuinely cares about their team more than only himself.

Every turret is actually very annoying with Hornet's OD on, but the worst are Magnum, Shaft, Guass (EMP), and Vulcan for sure.

Both are pretty bad ngl. Freeze is useless for freezing now and only good for damaging, thus Wasp isn't a real necessity to go with it anymore. Mammoth Shaft is boring combo mainly good for racking up cheap kills without helping the team. Now we have more dynamic combos to go with Shaft, including Viking with RFM and Hornet's OD.

From reading the title of this topic, I felt that it was best time to express the extremely unfathomable hatred I have towards Gauss's Electromagnetic salvo alteration. This puts both duplet and rapid fire-mode to shame, even during their most unbalanced periods. It's so despicable the concept of this, rendering your tank useless for 5 whole seconds after getting shot. Without protection from stuns, you'll rarely win against one. Even the other two unbalanced alts I mentioned gave you some leeway to fight back, this is just a drone style type of p2w. Gauss itself I believe is fine and balanced as is, but this turns it into something way more annoying.

It actually does affect acceleration negatively, from what I've seen on the official wiki. But speed seems to to have remained unchanged, meaning that momentum is significantly boosted and thus so is the pushing power. Now I'm curious, which hull will have the greatest momentum at top speed?

The hull alteration that increases your hull's weight by a factor of ..god knows , it's the least boring thing I've ever seen in this game. Watching a Hunter user bully a MAMMOTH a few days ago was like watching a blockbuster movie, just needed some popcorn to go with it. Btw this isn't actually a rant or anything, and as a matter of fact I don't think this thread serves any purpose at all. But yea that alteration is very, very interesting.

This. This is the single most annoying thing I've experienced with it by far lol, and it probably ended up influencing my decision to get the RGC alteration. Now I always stick with that. And about the overdrive I can't really comment much since I never use Viking with it, but from me past experiences yea the OD really does suck with Magnum unfortunately.

Honestly it would be really cool if tanki did a major survey on its player base, like forcing all active players to answer a few simple questions and rewarded them with something afterwards. Then they'd reveal details like the average player rank, the most used equipment, etc.. But the more I think of it, they probably keep this information hidden for a reason, company secrets I guess.

That's true spiderman, but elsewhere these age groups do not have what it takes to maintain a functioning society, a lot of stuff is gonna collapse with not enough experts to keep them in place. Hope you got the idea. Perhaps Sub Saharan Africa and south-east asian countries will fare better, but that's not a very large part of humanity.

Not quite, matchmaking has its own system of calculating the rewards. Hopefully an expert can reply to this soon.
