May be up to the devs to decide. But my guess is that receiving the paint depends on reward probability, and if it's still the same probability getting the top reward, only that it's been reduced from 100k to 10k, then yea they should also distribute the paint for those who got the 10k reward.

I see, that explains it. Thank you

Not sure how to explain it, but it feels a lot harder to deal constant ticking damage to an enemy now, although I noticed the dmg. points are noticeably higher.
-
Is it just me or does it only do damage when the projectiles are hitting the enemy turret? They don't seem to do anything when hitting the hull.

When you provide useful feedback and the devs won't listen to it.

Well devs most likely have their own reasons for not implementing certain updates and I'm with them on that. But considering balance changes for Hornet and matchmaking's tedious load times I agree because many players are expressing their dislike of the situation, plus changing them won't affect the game's economy as much as other changes. I'd also really like to see the community being a bit nicer to each other. This whole clan thing has been detrimental to players attitudes, useless clan fights are everwhere. -
But it cripples your enemy really fast, as well as being more dynamic than the other alts. If it's the most widely used alteration, then it's likely because the majority perceive it to be the best.

They just fixed it? Woah nice, I wasn't keeping up with the patch notes.

Whenever you want to change your equipment while respawning, you go into your garage, you change your equipment and you respawn as a different tank right? Well yes, but actually no. You have to spawn back as the old tank, wait 5-10 seconds to self-destruct, and only then respawn again as the new tank... quite tedious yea? I'd really appreciate it if something can be done to restore it to how it was on flash, because it's the only feature now that I feel is a definite downgrade from that version. Thanks, and have a good day.

Thank you all for the support, I'm glad this article turned out to be fine Though in response to 799169, what I personally like about the Viking strategy is that as long as you equip one of the turrets I mentioned above and make sure the enemy isn't protected against it, you'll nearly always guarantee a kill no matter what GS or drone the enemy has. I've seen this many times before, feels like a more cost-effective solution. The mine placing needs to be done with caution, its success rate is not that high. One time a member of my own team saw what I was doing and went on to flip me, he was most likely friends with the miner. But if you do manage to place a bunch of them and survive long enough, getting to blow them up is satisfying.
-
Had no idea they buffed the Lifeguard drone, I haven't been very active in the past few months. I was assuming the worst case scenario was Defender equipped. Though even with Lifeguard, Viking would still be the best, like you've said. Mammoth should do okay but Wasp becomes irrelevant. I'm not too sure about Hornet because it just dies very quickly, and can't always guarantee a kill. But I'm sure it's very capable if used effectively enough.

A guide for those who spend most of their time in pro battles (specifically parkour), and who dread those K/D hungry, high GS players who take pleasure in ruining parkour maps. I'll try to be as helpful as I can. First there are two types of battles you'll encounter them in: 1) Overdrive-enabled and supply-enabled maps 2) No-overdrive and supply-enabled maps * For the first type, your hull choice is imperative for your success. Wasp, Mammoth and Viking are the best choices for taking down a parkour miner, the other hulls are not suitable. Hornet maybe, but very rarely can it land a finishing shot without getting killed first. Now after choosing the hull, let me give you 3 cases: --> If the miner is using Mammoth: You cannot rely on Wasp, because they'll likely kill you before you get near them. There is also that chance they'll be using the defender drone, meaning your bomb will become super ineffective and won't get you anywhere. There still is a slim chance you can land a bomb near them when the drone is still recharging, but good luck attempting that. Using Mammoth against them is a 50/50 chance, and still requires you to get dangerously close before activating your OD. Remember the overdrive doesn't give you invincibility anymore, and thus getting to the miner is a much harder task now. Viking gives you the best chances, but it also heavily relies on the turret you're using and the miner's protection. Short range turrets are NOT advisable. ---> If the miner is using Titan: Wasp is even more ineffective considering the dome makes the bomb useless. Also your low armor is a still a huge barrier. Though you could still kill them if you're lucky. Mammoth is a better choice now, but again we face the problem of getting near them, though once you're close enough, activating the overdrive can absolutely wreck them. Viking is less effective because the dome is highly resistant to damage, unlike Mammoth who can now take a major beating due to the absence of invincibility. ---> If the miner is using any of the three medium hulls: Viking is mostly what you need. Best turrets to go with it are Railgun, Shaft, Gauss, Thunder, Hammer, Ricochet and Twins. Railgun is the best, but unfortunately the miner will very likely have protection against it. Remember they can't change their protections without self-destructing and losing all their mines, so use this for your advantage to maximize damage with one of the turrets listed above. Use double damage and strike when they least expect it. This is a very common method I see used to kill them. Wasp and Mammoth also help if you don't have Viking, also the turret you choose doesn't matter that much. But again, you have to get to them first. ---> Miners will almost never use a light hull. * For the second type of parkour battles, your mission is significantly more difficult, but still achievable with some strategy and luck. You obviously cannot rely on overdrives to destroy them so forget about hulls. Also going 1 on 1 against their heavily upgraded equipment and endless supplies is pointless. A good idea is to subtly place around 5-10 mines (on top of each other) at certain locations the miner is likely to drive over. DON'T make it obvious, place them only when you're alone. I've managed to pull that off a few times before, but it's very risky. Using a heavily upgraded Shaft / Striker with the suitable alterations can also work, provided they're not protected against you. You must strike at the right time (when the miner is occupied with something else or engaged in a fight with another member of your team). If a miner happens to be assisted by other members of their team, then your problems are heavily compounded. This isn't a huge problem for overdrive battles though. I don't know which type of battle is more common to find, but I'm leaning towards the first. Anyway, good luck taking down these sad, sad players and watching them rage. Finally, I'd just like to say that I, in no way, hate these people or wish for terrible things to happen to them, this is just a game and should never be taken seriously. My little "guide" here is only for the purpose of ridding parkour maps of this annoying behavior, and ultimately hoping for a change in the system that could lead to parkour mining becoming impossible. Have a good day.

What Is Your Opinion About the Current State of Tanki Online?
Michael828 replied to Maf in Game Discussion
I saw two speed hackers in a silence parkour battle yesterday, forgot their names though. One of them got banned for a month, the other just left I think. That was the first time I had witnessed those hacks in several months. Is there like a resurgence of speed hacking going on? Or were those just isolated incidents? -
Um I don't believe the game's in that bad of a situation now, you juts have a mix of good updates and some not-so-good updates. Just take it easy and try to have fun. If you're feeling burnt out take a break until you're better, and always try to play when you're in a good mood, I've noticed it does improve my performance when I don't take the game too seriously.
-
But why do we need more skins? Also it's better now than before challenges where introduced. Previously you had no other way of obtaining them than by paying.
-
Very nice. And good luck to all!
-
Didn't even know I had an mk4-0 Thunder and Wasp until yesturday, that's basically their m2 versions. They were previously both m1 and barely upgraded. So apparently an mk4 gives you the appearance of an m2 turret/hull but not its actual stats. I assume the real m2 stats are unlocked at the mk5 modification.
-
Oh right, forgot I nearly always play with the sound off. The splash damage indicator should do. Thanks.
-
It's hard to tell whether Thunder or Gauss is shooting at me cause they have the same projectile now, not like it matters anyway, but it'd be nice to at least have something to distinguish between the two.
-
Actually the real reason is likely what Maf has said above. What difference would it make for the game if someone ranked up for you or helped you in battles.
