Multiply by 3 divide by 4. Or multiply by 0.75.

I have discussed the morality of the situation concerning nicknames earlier. We have passed that. Here, I am offering suggestions to people, that are concerned about their particular situation because I like to help people. Tanki are very unlikely to rescind this nickname plan of theirs because they have shown no evidence of ever rescinding any changes that they have made, no matter what the morality or number of protests. If someone can take a legal view and put it into action, then that might be different. That is unlikely to happen but not impossible. My view is that one has to make the best of things or be for ever moaning and gowning about things that we can not change. That is not helpful or healthy. I have a pragmatic view on this.

No, not at all, it is not "sucking up" it is just saying the obvious. Frankly I find all the balling, wailing, and hair pulling responses of many with utter contempt. I am merely posting to suggest another view of things from a different perspective to sooth the hysteria of the adolescent mind. For my part I have to constantly remind my self, that many on here are probably spoiled children because of the sort of behavior and posturing that one commonly experiences on these pages is so obviously written by immature hands.

I find it very useful when playing the actual game to use wiki to confirm or to find information about specifics for tactical planing. To go to the garage in the middle of a game is not very useful or expedient. What I normally do is just open all pages such as game, wiki and forum all at the same time. To have links would make things smoother and more efficient when playing. Occasionally my wiki page may have closed for some reason or another.

I think that RIDDLER_8 Has sense of humor.

We have all become so accustomed to being spoiled, that we take everything for granted. That when we are offered something that appears slightly less than our expectations, pleadings and demands our reactions are overly strong. It is a little like taking candy away from a spoiled child. It balls its head off and throws its self around in indignation, it cuts its nose to spite its face. It is fine and normal to feel perhaps a little disappointed if things might have change from the normal, if our expectations are unrealized but any more than that, is a pure indulgence and bad form. Another way of looking at things however might be, if we had never become so accustomed to discounts and bonuses, then when we are offered even something small, we would be over the moon, ecstatic. Perhaps we may have to postpone the upgrading or a special paint that perhaps we may have coveted but that will apply equally to many of our opponents. Our competitiveness will not be any more diminished against many others, So their is absolutely no need to feel so hurt. We take a breath and just carry on. This is only a game, it is not a life supporting commodity and we will still be materialistically better off than before. If we want to have a slight edge, then all we need do it buy a small quantity of crystals and buy something useful for our garage.

Improvements to account security and in-game chats

I only use one e mail and I do not want another. -
From the Forum their are links to The Game and Wiki. From Wiki their are links to the Game and Forum. From the Game their are links to where? No where! I use Wiki when I am playing and it would be good for me at any rate if their was a link from the Game to Wiki, it would not hut to have a link to the forum also.

I agree that the price disparity between the RU and other communities, is far greater than any currency fluctuation can recently account for. It is only right that the is also a RU unit of pricing and not just a EU, US currency. It is not economically good cense because of the present International political situation for anyone in Russia to be buying foreign currency or products at the moment or in the short term. However I would have thought it beneficial to Russian economy to allow any other external Nationals to buy Russian currency or products. It simply does not make cense being bared from buying Rubles. Their may well be Western influences that do not whish us to buy Russian currency or products. The thing is it is not just the EU and RU that are playing this Game. What about all the other Nationals? The economies of some countries is less than Trumps pocket money for example and no matter what the nation, their will be plenty of poor and underprivileged living within them. On the other hand this a RU game and also most of its developers and owner. The game is massively subscribed to in Russia. Perhaps if things were leveled more fairly their would be more EU, US subscribers? The only other thing might be is, where does the money go? what Bank in what country. We assume it goes to RU but it probably goes to some other foreign Tax haven and that all monies including RU goes out of the payees country regardless. That Russians simply would not pay more especially if it drew attention to authority that larger sums were being exported. I am of course hypothesizing!

Of course we could push it out of the way before it takes a box but they are often just sitting there asleep and may have already taken it. Reporting things should be the best policy but in practice it can be a little different. -
Post here your issues with lags and server instability

My experience has shown that Rio has some of the very worst lag problems. It is not uncommon for me to find it unplayable. -
Cedric Debono, I have only today looked up in Wiki to see what achievements are all about. http://en.tankiwiki.com/Achievements Many of us do these things day to day without putting ourselves out unduly. In my case I do not have anything to do with XT at all. I do not see most of these things as achievements. Acquiring hulls, turrets and Paints is not an achievement in its self, we just buy them with crystals that we have accrued or bought with hard cash. We earn experience points every day and do most of the things on the list just by playing well or not. Perhaps gaining rank might be an achievement but everyone that sticks at it will reach the very highest rank, no matter if they are brilliant or not, it will just happen sooner or later depending on a number of variables. Can we think about what are more appropriate and real achievements? For me real achievement is creating the Wiki pages which have taken up a huge amount of unseen work by a number of practically unseen people. This is an ongoing phenomenal amount work in progress and creativity. It is involving research, constant checking, refashioning, communicating and designing all to provide us with a fantastic reference work covering all aspects of Tanki. I believe that this should be celebrated as real achievement and yet it is largely taken for granted by many of us and perhaps unfortunately not seen by some. That is real achievement. Real achievement is providing us with this game and running it. All the people in the background the moderators and helpers are achievers. To come half way up to that, for playing a game that we love is a very tall task. So what are real achievements in the Game? I like to think of helping people as an achievement but how do we measure that? What is helping? Perhaps we can have more informal helpers to facilitate the smooth legal running of the game. Trusted players who can be the eyes ad ears of the moderators and other officials. Perhaps we all should consider voluntarily giving up a small amount of time every now and then if facility were available. Call it community service. Perhaps improving community spirit needs more community involvement. If more people were involved in some part of Tanki, then they would have a sense of greater community, they would have a real stake! It is important to improve the environment and harmony in both game and forum.

Explain why you believe that?

I hope that he enjoys his job also! I hope that we do not wear him down with our intensity, persistent and petty squabbles. :)

No, you need to play the game. Unfortunately the forum does not count. http://en.tankiwiki.com/Nicknames At your rank you have to play within 160 days. Perhaps if you talk privately to Cedric Debono and clearly, factually and politely plead you case. State what you problem is. I can not promise he can do anything but he may be sympathetic if someone has a genuine problem. If it is a case of not having a PC because it is broken, perhaps even if you could just log on and play a game or two with a friends or family PC with in the time frame. Remember to clear the memory of your log in details if you cannot implicitly trust the owner, maybe do it anyway. Then that might get you through until you can do something to improve your situation. The other thing to have a think about, is the nick name that important to you? Would having and r prefix attached to your nickname be that bad? If Tanki is for you, why not sign up and purchase something useful because that would give you 3 years grace. Any way good luck with your endevers.
-
Have you left any out? :)
-
May I suggest, that you find the most full server for your rank. Then make your own game. Limit the numbers. Do the tasks that are easiest or the ones that you might achieve in the first instance then you may make one change before you lose crystals. Often if one has a difficult task if it is left to last then changed, one might be lucky with the last task being something more easily completed. The time zone here can be at odds with people across the pond but their might be just enough people about for you. The other option for you is to join the Brazilian servers and they are more likely to be playing when it is a suitable time for you.

I feel that lag is too often used used to explain certain anomaly. Sure of course it must affect some things. This business of rail gun penetrating corners and now Vulcan. Rail gun has been penetrating corners for years, even when lag is not apparent. I wonder if this capability might have been built into its programming for some circumstances or it is a bug. Rail gun often flatters its user. One does not need to point accurately, not just up and down but I mean laterally. Basically aim anywhere and so long as the object is inside a certain sized cone that target will be hit. I have read one technical description as suggesting this cone measures 8 degrees from its central axis. Over the distance of a large map this can allow for a discrepancy of inaccuracy of some large distance from its intended target. This can sometimes be demonstrated when a Rail-gun coming out of cover fires at a supposed target. The target has not appeared for one reason or another, the shot goes way wide of where the target was expected to go. At other times when the target is there, it is very rare for it to miss. Yet a manual aim, with the gun ready deflected at an angle, before the rail-gun sprints from out of cover to fire at a distant object does not sound feasible. Their is just too much that can add up to missing the shot. It requires too much guess work, yet time and time again the shot is successful. So I wonder, is this through the corner shooting ability all part of rails built in parameter! All just to keep up the moral of the user. The same applies to Vulcan. No one has ever complained of any other weapons firing through corners as far as I am aware over the years. It was always rail and now Vulcan. Rail was the darling the most popular weapon and Vulcan is becoming increasingly popular. Vulcan is also extremely powerful and very dominant in the field.

valid Moving spawns away from supply drop zones
ELIZABETH1122 replied to sensei_tanker in Ideas and Suggestions
I would also like to point out for consideration, that some players deliberately seek advantage and choose to pause and sleep on supply spots. Perhaps it might be a wise development to remove the markings where supplies are exactly dropped? That or to make the markings only a general place for supply drops and not an exact placement. Also it would make laying of mines on supply drops a less certain outcome. I am sure that many have been surprised to find a supply with a double edged sword and that instead of receiving a life bonus, they have actually gained a sudden death. -
Their is no, drugging problem, full stop. Their is only a divisive, emotive campaign, waged and campaigned by those who are determined, for a totally for free Tanki for them, who do not who want to pay anything. They have cunningly realized, that by collecting the free crystals and using other generously given bonuses, that they, can all but adequately compete, against those who do support and pay Tanki real money. That the main difference between those who pay and those who do not, is only the acquisition of supplies/drugs They have concluded, that with out paying real money, that given by the generosity of Tanky, is only enough to support the acquisition of the very best free Equipment and upgrades and not also a larger quantity of Drugs/supplies. They very much want to hamstring the supporting buying player, by very much limiting his capability, by reducing the power and availability of bought supplies. This campaign of theirs is both insidious and organized. I ask Mr Cedric Debono and the Developers to be aware and realize this. That they may need to consider the implications what the aims and objectives of this campaign might mean not only to the supporting paying player but also to the economy and survivability of Tanki as a whole.
