Don't do reload. It's negligible. Start with damage and range, then turning speed. Leave reload till the end. For Dictator, start with protection, then speed, then power, then weight..Leave turning speed to the end or MU it with those.

You need a few ranks to be able to do that, but it is very doable by . Also, you do not have to micro-upgrade everything at the same time. You can benefit from discounts too.

It leans toward Rico because it can fire 8 shots in less than 3.5 seconds. Hammer needs 3.6 seconds to fire 3 shorts. Also longer range is to Rico's advantage. Also if you can kill someone with 2 Rico shots, you just shoot two shots. You do not waste a full Hammer shot, etc.

If they face each other and start firing at the same time, Rico wins before Hammer gets to shoot the third shot.

With the upcoming change in micro-upgrades, they become of more value, so if it made sense to micro-upgrade halfway before, it will now make sense to micro-upgrade 2/3 of the way, but it is still not worth fully micro-upgrading a non-M3 piece of equipment to get the next M class. Ricochet and Dictator M2 have the longest stretch, from to and , respectively, so it is necessary to micro-upgrade them if you want to use them all the way through or you will be facing with equipment, that is 12 ranks apart.. Twins got a 30% boost. Its M1 became more powerful than M2 before, M2 became more powerful than M3 before, and M3 became more powerful than M3+ before. For Freeze, only M1 got slightly more powerful than M2 before. I have just discovered that my M1 Freeze has just become useful. :)

Yes, when you leave a battle "prematurely", you don't get any crystals. Think about it this way though. If I stay here and play for 20 more minutes, I can earn as many crystals as I can earn in 2 minutes if I join a good battle. I am sorry, but someone who chooses a miserable situation willingly has something wrong in his brain and should do something about it. There is nothing about heroism when you play a miserable battle just so the other team can have some fun. If you enjoy misery, most other people don't.

I have busted my butt earlier to drive a fairer reward distribution, but it seems that there is some majority agreement that if the losers don't get raped at the end, then there is no incentive for winning. I am a proponent of play to have fun. If you are not having fun like in the case where you bust your butt only to get farmed, then you should leave as soon as you discover this situation. This strategy (like every other strategy in the world) does not work every time, but that does not stop people from using strategies everywhere. The rape party at the end also stops people from joining a losing side because when you click play on a losing side, you expressly say I want to share that debt. Most people don't like to pay other people's debts.

M2 Rico is a turret. I use it because it grew with me since then. :) You need to get M3 turrets now, such as Thunder or Freeze. Freeze is now a very powerful turret. You can get the Hammer too if you want to be like everyone else.

The fact that Twins can kill Fire (at M3+) is ridiculous. Now, Freeze is the highest DPS turret, followed by Twins, Rico, and Fire. However, the self-healing of Isida makes it the most dangerous at short range. For example, if an Isida faces Fire, the DPS for Fire has to be 99 to be on par with Isida's 66. Fire's DPS is 72, So, only kill Isida if it is doing nothing or healing someone else. You are ineffective if you try to kill it while it's sucking health from someone, even you. Let's say your DPS is 60 (Vulcan). If you fire at an Isida that is fighting (but nobody else is fighting it), it recovers 33 of your 60, so your effective DPS is 27. You need 10 seconds to kill it, 3 of which while you are overheating.

What I said above is one reason that I advise all players to quit as soon as they find out that they are going to be raped. I know that rapists don't want the raped to quit and they even make it a matter of honor (not stupidity), but one should take care of their own interests.

There are ways around this, including (what I hate most) is forcing people to stay to the end to get their rewards, or the rewards go back to Tanki Online. If this kind of iron hand is necessary, I prefer making them lose half their rewards if they quit prematurely. The ideal way though is that you play to have fun. If you are not having fun, do you really want to sacrifice your time for the team, not to mention the other team? Miserable battles should die a quick death, and new better battles should come out. Miserable battles die without actually ending the battle this way. They die by people that have a miserable time quitting and other people joining. Maybe letting it easy for miserable team members to quit will work like evolution of the team. They people who are not doing well leave, and better people join. We have to face this: You can't force people to have fun.

Let's not be theoretical. I've never seen any skill in using Twins. Just bombard like crazy, and most don't even care if they hit their own team members. Anyway, Twins improved by some 30% and Smoky improved by about 18%. So, Smoky is better than before. Twins is a lot more dangerous than before, and its impact force is ridiculously high. Both impact forces were improved by 6%, like they needed that!

I believe Hornet M1 is the best M1 Hull (Viking being the best M0 hull, and Hunter the best M2 Hull. Sorry, but Twins and Vulcan were meant for noobs (even if the devs don't know that), no offense to anyone. Get Ricochet or Thunder.
