It is going to be nerfed even more (It now sucks at the far half of its range) after all the rich :P players buy it. This is how you stimulate the economy.

You can't blame them though. It is instinctive for people to try to avoid being raped. You have to deal with the system you have. Actually, periodic incremental reward distribution is fair for everyone. You can join a losing side and not pay for whatever they did before you were there, like it is the case now, or join a winning side and not steal other people's rewards. Something I am pushing for which some people did not like is that I wanted people to be able to leave the battle at any time and take their rewards. They think it removes the commitment and make people not care whether they win or not. Sure, I would not care if the side I am joining was winning or losing or will be winning or losing before I join or after I leave, but so what? I want people to play as long as they enjoy the battle, not forcing them to play because they are afraid of losing their rewards. Also, as players mature, they will be able to leave a miserable situation and cut their losses even though they are sacrificing some rewards. Sometimes, the pain is not worth the reward. The people who think that way forget that we play here to have fun. It is wrong to force people to have fun. Would you leave a battle that you are enjoying just because you can? Those who do not enjoy the battle should not be there. They should find something else they enjoy and do.

Rank up and get Rhino with Thunder.

Here is how I will think about it. Tanki's birthday is about 40 days away. That is about 160k exp at your current rate. If you don't use a SMP, you'll be about a first lieutenant. If you do, you'll be about a lieutenant colonel. That is also about 100k crystals away. If you don't use an SMP, you will still be able to buy M2 equipment. If you get the SMP, by then all the people you play with will have all kinds of M2 turrets, and it will be difficult for you to compete for the last 3 weeks. Based on this, I suggest that you don't buy the SMP, or maybe buy the 30% SMP. Anyway, play as much as you can and pick your battles wisely during the following two weeks. Maybe you have a rank where you can buy a decent M2 turret at 25%. That turret should recover the 25% discount you missed and make a profit in 4 weeks. If you had 200+k crystals now. I would have suggested that you get the 100% SMP and buy something at this sale because you should recover the difference in the cost within 4 weeks. You can come back in 10 days and tell us what happened. Good luck.

How many crystals do you have now? How many exp points do you get a day or a week?

This update favors the noobs who can't turn the turrets. :) However, this is actually better for the rest of us, because you can still move. Previously, you had to aim with both the hull and turret, which is a lot more difficult, and sometimes one can forget to turn the hull. Now, you can't forget is. Besides, your left hand is free to fire. :)

If you have to buy an M1 turret (just to waste some crystals), go with Thunder or Twins. You can waste a little more crystals if you get Thunder.
-
I make this mistake often. I catch it before I post most times, but you are lucky you caught one I missed.

Congratulations on ranking up. Tanki is not cooperating. When I suggested a solution for this (distributing crystals every minute so no one can steal funds that were generated before they joined the game), it was rejected because it was not the world's best possible and impossible solution.
-
Unfortunately, this is caused by the flaw in reward distribution. You can't really blame people for doing what Tanki wants them to do. Tanki lets people know what it wants them to do by rewarding them for it.

Last night, I played an Island game. I had an M2 Hunger and M3 Thunder. A person in the other team practically went through his/her entire garage during the game, but since he kept using Hornet, I kept destroying his/her tank in two shots. I got the first place in the winning team although I joined a while after the battle started. Actually, I think he/she tried a mammoth, but because I could run away easily from that and keep hitting it, he/she has to go back to Hornet. He/She should have had a Hunter. :) At your medium rank, you should not care much about others changing equipment if you are comfortable with yours. Maybe you need a couple of turrets in case someone has a serious paint against your favorite one, but this is life. Sometimes, I join a battle and I feel like I have M0. I just move on.

This is a tough question. We don't have anything to work with. Theoretically, all turrets, hulls, and kits are excellent in some situation or another. You need to say something about where or how you want to use them.
-
I can't see why you'd buy Viking. Although Taiga is a good paint, I suggest that you buy nothing (of these) at this point. Try to figure out something either within 2 weeks or by Tanki's birthday, such as Thunder, Rico, or Hammer.
-
There are always special cases. For example, Thunder reload time used to be upgradable to be reduced by 17% or something like that. That is a serious change. I think now they reduced that to about 13%, which is still noticeable, but say Rico reload time upgrades are a joke, for M3, ~5%, and this is not even the real reload time. This is the time between shots, and you still run out of ammo at the same time (or rather a little faster).
-
Bear in mind that M3 Rico unlocks 4 ranks after M3 Hammer. It better be a lot better, and by then you are expected to have upgraded your M3 Hammer quite a bit, or others will eat you alive.
-
While this is a simple strategy that is reasonably good, you can think of a turrets damage and reload time as DPS, and then get the step with the most value. That way you may find yourself upgrading both at the same time. To clarify this, the last step in upgrading damage is very expensive and has a smaller impact on DPS than the first step of reload time upgrade. Bear in mind that sometimes the reload time upgrade is useless. Say I pay thousands and thousands to upgrade the reload time from 0.510 second to 0.500 seconds. Seriously? Like anybody would notice. Now when it comes to hulls, usually the speed upgrade is much more expensive and very insignificant. You also need to think about the steps. Say you pay many thousands to upgrade the speed from 10.0 to 10.3. That is 3%. Nobody would feel it, unless you are doing a marathon, and we usually don't do that here.

The unlimited drug pass is worthless in gold hunting, because everyone will be fully loaded and DA will cancel out DD. You can only go faster.
-
While changing equipment every minute is silly, it sometimes takes a minute for the stupid garage to load, as some crazy (wise) guy (should have) said if you hate it, create battles with equipment change not allowed. :P
-
Now, everyone and their dog have the jackhammer kit. I guess I am lucky I did not buy it. :)

The range was not touched. The change in cone angle scatters the bullets about a meter wider at maximum range for M3+, which is 70 meters. If you are hitting one tank at that range, the damage it gets will be 4/5 * 6/7 of previous damage (70%). For ranges less than 20 meters, it is negligible. Looking at it this way, it makes a difference at long ranges.
-
Hunter is not a light hull. It's a medium hull in the class of Dictator and Viking. If you are talking about M1, I suggest a Hornet. Regarding the Thunder splash change, I have a problem understanding it myself. It seems that it used to have full effect within 5 meters of the hit. It is now 10% of that, but that does not make sense. If you find someone who understands the change, let me know. The change in the Hammer cone is negligible. It used to scatter within 1 meter if you hit a target at 10 meters. It now scatters within 1.15 meters or something like that, so ignore it.
-
Actually, it was useful tonight in Poly, what with the short-range turrets boosted. Now, Rico pretty much loses every confrontation. I think the bulldozer is what let us win by 1 point. That one point makes the most difference.
-
Until @deadtoyou can reply, I can give you this advice. Find out who kills you most, and get that paint. It is hard to go wrong with a medium hull because it has some mobility and it has some health when you need it.
-
You need to say for what and should be talking about the future specs. Shouldn't you be thinking about M2 now?
