Everything can use skill. The fact that you do not have skills to use Firebird does not make it a noob turret. The noob turret by (my) definition is the turret most people use noobly, because they don't think it requires any skills, so they don't have them..

It is too late for you to buy it now. If you have to buy something now, buy Isida. You should get its cost back buy next sale and then you can buy whatever your rank and interests allow.

Why don't you workout the numbers assuming 50% discount? The sale will not have the turret and hull discounts overlap as far as I know, so you will not get a kit at 1/4 price, so any sale is hard to compete with a kit. I would not wait for a few weeks to save 50k crystals, because I can easily earn much more with better equipment.

That is a function of the sale in effect. For example, if you have free speedups, then you can spend all you can on MUs and get instant upgrades for free. Usually, the first few steps are cheap, but their speedup is expensive, so even when it is deeply discounted it is still greater than the discount you are offered. For those, I do not wait for a sale. They are cheap and the steps are bigger, so you can start benefiting right away rather than waiting for a month or whatever to save 500 crystals. I gave an example, which actually did not apply to the previous sale, but it shows you how to calculate whether it is worth it to wait for the sale or not.

Fully MUed Rico M2 is M3--very soon. It should be good. Although I suggest having another M3 turret at least along with it.

Start with what matters. Take them all the way, and you get a discount on M3. See if it makes sense to do the others and get a full M3 (once they update the upgrades). I did not have enough crystals or time to upgrade damage all the way. I took it to 15/18. I am sure I will finish it at least to get the 22.5% off M3. I will see if it makes sense to do others.

I can identify with Inferno, but Prodigi? Somebody still cares about Railgun and Thunder? Gizmos should get Zeus. Most of them have anyway. Lumberjack is uglier than sin. If you are getting killed by Freeze and Smoky constantly, take their protection to 34% (for about 20000 full cost each), and see how it goes. If you feel that it made a difference, go to 40%. If you are comfortable with that, leave it unless you have extra crystals you don't know what to do with.

Yes, but you need to be careful about going into the pit at the right time. If you are careless, get Viking M1. And whichever is until Dictator or Hunger M2 not M1.

Go with 4. What you already have should take you there. I still think that Hornet M1 rules. When you get further, get Hunter M2.

Did you try the Isida? Its kills are slow and painful. Any slower, and the other guy would self destruct to get it over with and move on with his life. :)

Actually at 765,805, it is one of the cheapest. Have you seen the price of M3+ modifications on other turrets? Nearly a million.

If you want to get Freeze and Viking anyway, you can never beat a kit. With a kit, you don't have to buy M2 or M1, etc. if you don't have them.

Freeze/Fireif it is CP. Pick what you like if it is CTF. Thunder's splash damage has been cut down, but it's direct damage was increased, so I do not really recommend it. You are better off with Rico. The only way Thunder can beat me is if I have Thunder too. :P It can't beat Rico, Isida, or Hammer ( similarly Fire and Freeze). I am not even sure it is better than Smoky, which I hate.

If you want me to pick for you :P, you need to tell me more, e.g. your play style, maps, modes, etc. You must make at least 150K more by the big sale if you want to buy 2 pieces. You are now in the big league.
