You definitely have chance. Just remember to post your entry before the deadline and check the three written chapters so you know where to continue.

Hi. We sure will in the future. Unfortunately, right now we do not have many Arabic reporters, so it's harder to publish material in this language.
-
Deadline is set by the date and time mentioned in the topic, not by the time topic is locked.

Because reasons

Unfortunately, your entry was not accepted as it was submitted after the deadline. It might be harsh but same rules apply to everyone. Unfortunately, I think the prizes have already been submitted. Also if you would like to get crystals on different account, participate with that particular account because there are many participants out there and it just unnecessarily complicates things for both us and you.

Other [Issue 75] The Cringey Gaming History Challenge
Flexoo replied to Flexoo in [Issue 75] The Cringey Gaming History Challenge Newspaper Archive
While exploring new topics to write about, I often find myself in the realm of really strange ideas. This article is pretty much the proof of it. The other day, I was once again brainstorming and this topic came to my mind. To fill you in, I've decided to make a funny summary of the video games I used to play from the very first till Tanki. It's a topic that I will probably regret making, but life is full of awkward moments so let's add one more to the basket. Before I start, I will mention that I will cover only certain video games I played on various consoles that I deem were the most influential for me because although I do not consider myself a hardcore gamer, I still played a couple of games and no one really wants to sit here all day, am I right? So, I started playing video games when I was a young teen, around 10-11 years old. If you are asking; "What? That late? Where did you live? Under a rock?", let me clarify it. I am a bit older than the majority of the Tanki teen population. When I was a kid, we used to play football outside, we played hockey with a tennis ball on the street and we were making bows after a history class, shooting pointy sticks at each other, somehow ignoring the fact that we can poke out someone's eye because role-playing an Indian was cool (yeah, definitely don't do this at home). At that time, kids did not play video games from the age of a toddler. Anyways, the first video games I played were on the old TV game cartridges that looked something like this; I know. When you look at this picture you must be instantly convinced I am a gramps enjoying my retirement. Yes, this is what I used to play when floppy disks were still "the thing", but it's actually not that far into the history. I still remember playing on weekends for a couple of hours and then getting a scolding because my parents missed their favorite political discussion show. I was glued to the TV. I guess my parents grew tired of the fact I occupied their TV and so I received a different console that did not require it - a Gameboy Color. I think I got it on my birthday and the very first game I played on it was Pokemon Yellow. Pokémon was a huge hit at the time I got this game. Literally overnight, these creatures that you capture and store in those small Poké Balls became known to every single kid in the middle school. Everyone was trading Pokémon cards, having albums and talking about the new Pokémon anime series that our TV station finally started broadcasting. I was one of the few who actually had a Pokémon game and I enjoyed playing it a lot. It was something new for a kid who used to play mostly outside and so it consumed me for hours. There was a couple of downsides, though. The game progress was super SLOW. I played and played for hours and yet I was hardly moving in the story. I also sometimes forgot to save my progress or forgot to check my battery, so when I played and my battery died I was reset back to the last save. After hours and days of playing, I finally managed to "beat" the game. I finished the main story and even collected almost everything possible. I was a little bored of it, and so I put it into a drawer. After few weeks I told myself; "You know what, let's check the cartridge and finish the rest of the game!" So I brought it out, turned the Gameboy with the cartridge on and to my awe, I noticed that I am no longer offered the option "Continue The Game". My whole progress, all those hours I put into completing it, were gone. Battery probably died on me. Big fail. Obviously, I was no longer interested in starting from the very beginning and so I left it be. Sometime later when the Gameboy cartridges were not fun anymore for me, I received my first computer. Obviously, my parents did not buy it for me to play games on it, but because it became necessary for my school projects, etc. I was like 14 years old, yeah you heard me right. Although my computer was new, it was still a potato computer. By that, I mean it wasn't suitable for many new games out there at that time. Still, there were a couple of games that ran smoothly, so I wanted to try them out. One of the very first games I played on PC was Return to Castle Wolfenstein, or shortly RTCW. I picked up this game like 4-5 years after its release (because, yeah no computer, do you remember?). It was an older game, but one of my friends showed it to me when we were playing at his house, and I liked it. It's a game that many old gamers referred to as "the classic", plus as someone interested in history, I was attracted to the WWII theme it offered. I was a bit stunned when zombies started to pop out of catacombs and scientifically altered monsters shot at me with machine guns, but nevertheless, I enjoyed the game. Soon after, I looked for more WWII games and found out the Call of Duty series. As opposed to "Wolf" it offered a much more realistic gameplay that was based on real events of the World War's 40s. Obviously, the graphics and mechanics changed a lot over the years, but these games can still offer a very interesting nostalgic experience. After that, I wanted to try something from a different genre and I somehow stumbled upon Doom 3. I definitely won't post any picture of that game, because it made me physically sick. I am not really into the horror flicks as even a walk in dark night hours makes me kinda nervous so when I started playing this game and got to the point where I had to go to the totally dark rooms filled with zombies and creatures that have more legs than acceptable, I decided to quit midway. Nah-ah girl, there's no way I will fall prey to monsters that looked like they can detach their heads without a problem. I went with the flow and also tried GTA games which was probably my first experience with the open-world theme. Obviously, I liked them, because you can't hate these as a true gamer (or can you?). It's definitely not a material to teach your kids or anyone the good manners, so if you ain't like 40, do not even dare to open Google and look this up, okay! I played many other games like Yahtzee Far Cry (insert number from 1 to 3), other WWII related shooters like Saboteur, new Wolf games and many others that I definitely forgot to mention, but there is one more left that deserves its own place on my list. And that game is Tanki Online. I never in my life thought I will play one game for this long, not to mention an online game which I used to avoid. It must be good four years now since I started playing and although many things changed in it, it's still a really good and enjoyable game. I almost completed my garage inventory and even got myself to the administration position. Who knows what the future holds for me. So that's the limit of awkwardness I can take. What are the games you play/ed? Did you ever play any of the games I mentioned? Which one is your favorite? Share your impressions and lists!- 22 replies

Review [Issue 75] A Quick Kit Review - Destroyer
Flexoo replied to Flexoo in [Issue 75] A Quick Kit Review - Destroyer Newspaper Archive
Note: This article was written by a potential EN Reporter Candidate under the supervision of @Flexoo, who until having been officially added as a Candidate will remain anonymous. Destroyer kit is OP (summed up in 4 words; beat that!). Is that fine Flexoo or am I obligated to write more? One of the most significant turning points of any tankers journey is kits. Why are they so important? Well for one, you spend lots of months saving up for one and secondly, they give you an advantage in battles. While the latter requires little thinking, the former calls for right decisions. This article concerns the notoriously infamous Destroyer kit. The Components Twins M3 To put it bluntly, I was concerned that this would be the most significant let-down of this kit. I was entirely wrong in thinking so. This turret is perhaps the best part of the kit. Most people dismiss Twins as useless or too noob-like for them, and to be quite honest they’d be dead wrong in saying so. The power of Twins is pretty much second to none. The damage is quite high for the rapid-fire rate, and thus dealing damage isn’t a problem. Additionally, Twins can keep on firing forever, so there’s no worrying about “what if my enemy uses a repair kit?” The one and the only aspect that does make Twins slightly ineffective is the range, but Twins isn’t meant to snipe with, so that’s fine. After purchasing this great kit during the Halloween sales of 2017, I put it to use in the Halloween DM. Suffice to say, lots of people rage quit, and I smashed that match. Even now, the turret is extremely powerful. Even when using Twins now, I can enter a battle after it is already 5 minutes over and still come out on top, that too in a Deathmatch (DM). The self-damage can get a little annoying if your enemies keep coming close to you, but nothing a Mammoth can’t handle. This kit is purchasable as early as Lieutenant General, and so I cannot even fathom the insane amount of power this turret would have at that rank. 10/10, Most definitely the star of this kit. Twins is what makes this kit genuinely worth the purchase Mammoth M3 I’ve liked Mammoth, pretty much ever since I had it M2. Even at M2, I could lock horns with far more powerful enemies and still emerge victoriously. Naturally, I wanted to get this hull at the M3 stage because I loved Island and Hill matches. What I can say after having this hull for a good couple of months is that it is a fortress. You can take damage for a good while from multiple enemies before you die, and you are unlikely to die very quickly because of the high HP. When you put an almost unstoppable hull together with something that fires infinitely long, you start to understand what power looks like. While the armour compensates for the lacklustre speed, the latter is still somewhat problematic especially if you intend to use this kit on larger maps because your enemies will almost exclusively target you and you can’t reach enemies quick enough to land many (if any) hits on them. Nevertheless, Mammoth has excellent synergy with the rest of the kit. Firstly, Mammoth and Twins is a killer combination. Due to recent changes, one would think that after purchasing this kit an additional 50,000 crystal investment is required to make self-damage more manageable. While it isn’t needed, it can help and unfortunately the protection module places a heavy emphasis on close-range combat so expect to fair well against Hammers and Firebirds. 9/10, While this isn’t the most impressive aspect of this kit, it most certainly is a force to be reckoned with. The small gripe I do have is how slow the hull is, but it is pretty well compensated for by the health of this hull. Badger T-A M3 When you’re buying this kit, you see the Twins, Mammoth and tablecloth Lumberjack. The protection module is most definitely the last thing you think about for virtually any kit purchase. Nevertheless, this protection is quite handy. At first, Twins without a Twins protection seems like an incredibly dumb idea, and it is until you realise that there are enemies who don’t use Twins and will want to be running away from you. The highlight of this protection module is a substantial 35% Firebird protection, but the 35% Hammer and Freeze protection is beneficial and lends you the ultimate close range combat power. Nevertheless, this protection module is a little outclassed in big maps, and thus you may not find it optimal to use in Lost Temple or Madness. Even still, this protection has fantastic synergy with the rest of the kit because some of the strongest turrets in Tanki get turned into something of a fruit fly. Me being me, I’d prefer Kodiak T-A because it is a protection module for all ranges, but since the focus of Destroyer kit is on close-range combat, this protection module does do pretty well. 9/10, It is an invaluable protection module for this kit and can be used very well without the kit too. Lumberjack Perhaps the most hated component of this kit. Lumberjack is commonly called “tablecloth” because of the way it looks. While I would agree that Lumberjack isn’t half as cool as Zeus, it does seem to be an overstatement to say that it is hideous. Since paints only sit pretty on your tank, there isn’t much I can say here except that you should use Lumberjack for the instilling terror in the hearts of your enemies. 7/10, the paint doesn’t look great and there’s really not much debate to that. The 7 marks are for intimidation as well as the completeness of the kit with this paint. Alterations I know, I know. “Gee-unofficial-candidate-who-has-no-name-as-of-now! Alterations aren’t part of the kit! I’ve never seen an unofficial candidate this ignorant!” I’d wager 10,000 crystals that’s what you’re saying to yourself (or Flexoo) right now. Nevertheless, stay with me. When you purchase a kit, you aren’t just purchasing it for the turret or the hull or the protection module. You’re purchasing it for absolutely everything encompassed by said turret, hull and protection module. In the case of Twins, you get two M1 alterations worth 50,000 crystals each which can only be used one at a time, Plasma Stabilization and Plasma core accelerators. Stable Plasma The word I’ll use to describe this alteration is Ed Sheeran’s song, “Perfect.” In the most real sense of the word, this alteration is perfect. If you’ve ever felt nostalgic towards Twins with a desire for the days where you could engage enemies at extremely close range and get insulted with words to vulgar for this article, this is the alteration to get. What the alteration does, is completely remove all splash damage as well as self-damage. In the case of a turret heavily reliant on Splash damage (such as Thunder), this is detrimental. If you have a Twins, you become a killing machine which has almost no limits. I don’t have this alteration, but I did use it on the test server, and it is phenomenal. Enemy Thunders came close to me to get me to take some of my damage but were somewhat surprised when they died, and I didn’t. If you are going to purchase this kit, set aside 50,000 crystals to get this alteration because it is fantastic for every scenario possible and thus a must-have. Plasma Core Accelerators The younger brother of Stable Plasma, this alteration increases projectile speed and minimum damage as well as the range at the cost of reload speed, essentially turning Twins into a weaker but slightly faster firing Ricochet. The reason this alteration sees little use is because it takes Twins, removes the critical ability of Twins and leaves it stranded between Twins and Ricochet. I can guarantee you that if you want longer ranged combat, purchasing Ricochet will save you crystals. Nevertheless, it doesn’t mean the alteration is entirely worthless. I did use this alteration alongside Twins, on the test server and while it wasn’t overly useful, I was much better equipped to handle long-range battles. Should a user desire to use Twins at longer ranges and not purchase a Ricochet/like Ricochet, this alteration is a good idea then and only then. Personal Experience The first time I put this kit to use, was in a Halloween Death Match. During the first few minutes of that match, I felt something akin to fear that I had, in fact, made a mistake in purchasing Destroyer from the shop. Nevertheless, I decided to try and suppress my growing feeling of doom. It was quite difficult to transition to using Twins. I had to get used to a lot more head-on conflicts with my Mammoth and Twins. Usually, I managed to destroy around three tanks before I died. It came down to the last seconds in that match, and in the end, I believe I came one kill after the top person. To put things into perspective, I was an M3 everything at the time, going against mighty M4 tankers who used more drugs than I did. Most recently, I engaged in a Silence DM and (you guessed it) destroyed the competition. I joined at around the 10-minute mark, eager to see how well I could do. As is always the case with Death Matches, I found myself surrounded by Firebirds and Twins on Vikings and Titans respectively. For this reason, I decided to give them a taste of their own plasma. I changed from my Magnum and Viking to basically the Destroyer kit, without Lumberjack and started battling. My nemesis was a certain Titan and Twins; the name of whom eludes me now. It was a pretty close fight, but considering I started off late and topped the leaderboard, I’d say it was quite impressive. I made around 3 or so kills with every life and ended up with over 50 kills in the end. It was very fun and more importantly, I dominated the battlefield successfully, striking fear into the hearts of my victims who still scream in horror of my site. (I just made that last part up. Chances are if you asked someone I played against, you’ll hear something to the effect of “Huh? Who’s that?” Conclusion If I had to use a word to describe this kit, that word would be fantastic. Everything works so remarkably well for it. You have the Twins with the infinite ammo, mounted on a fortress with the ability to significantly reduce damage suffered from Firebird, Hammer and Freeze. Granted the lumberjack paint is lacklustre, but if paints are what you want, then I’d suggest Paladin or Raiden. This kit is a must-have because it provides highly competitive equipment such as Twins, Mammoth and Badger T-A M3. The only reason to not purchase this kit is if you have most/some parts of it.- 22 replies

NOTE: The Amateur Writing Club has been officially transformed to Amateur Writing Group.
-
The section itself will work as it did before, nothing will change with the approval of topics as this closure is solely related to the club. As for the writing tournaments, they may return in the future, however they will not be AWC exclusive nor will there be any advantage to members of the writing group such as additional crystals for league points since this system did not work with the very low number of club participants. Every participant will be on equal ground.

One of the very few crystal gold boxes i saw today
-
I don't know if it's just my luck but I rarely see any crystal boxes in holiday GBs. Usually immortality, monster kill or Premium. I somehow managed to accumulate 10 days of premium during this celebration.
