  1. I agree on that one with you. There is no reason to award score for effect that did not take place. The score should be based on two conditions 1.) Whether the effect actually took place (e.g. repair kit: whether teammates HP was actually restored) 2.) How big was the effect - how much HP was restored e.g. So for example on Dicta. If it awards 10 points, the points can be distributed as follows 4 points for recharging teammates OD 3 points for healing him completely 1 point for each supply activated Those points would be deducted if the effect did not took place, or took place only partially. So for example, if you activate OD on a teammate who has a charged OD, you won't be awarded those 4 points, if you activate it on full HP, full Supplies teammate you won't be awarded those 6 points for supplies, etc. Not sure how well it could be programmed though.
  2. There are multiple reasons behind this problem. Assault in general, is a really terrible mode to make an example of because you can see how badly the game is affected there by all the newest additions to the game like drones, augments and overdrives. The fact the objective of the mode for one team is to defend just one single spot creates a "sandwich effect". This sandwich effect (basically many players stacked in relatively small area) is the source of most problems in Assault. Other major factor contributing to this is the currently huge number of players per battle. With 16v16 or 12v12 you obviously have a higher chance of getting massive exp gains, because it is more likely that you will find lots of teammates to share your Overdrive. In a 8v8 battle, the EXP gain from Overdrive sharing would be hugely mitigated (outside the completely broken ASL, which is broken also because of many other pieces of equipment) because it would be far harder to find multiple teammates in one place. Now another problem, imho, is that a lot of equipment in Tanki is broken because it can be combined with other pieces. Examples: Heat Imunity + Vulcan/IB EMP Salvo + Supplies + Drones Hooper + Crisis Heavy hulls + Defender Isida/Dicta/Drones with exp boosting effect It's almost as if Tanki is looking on equipment only from the perspective of that singular item, and not from the perspective of how it can potentially be combined with other equipment to make it extremely broken, or they just outright don't care about it because they need to make bucks. Lastly, why I think Dicta should keep at least some sort of exp gain from his OD sharing. First thing first, I think the OD in itself when it comes to effectiveness for the user is lower than that of many other ODs. It gives you all three supplies which is nice, but it's nothing special, I see so many players constantly on all three supplies these days even without drones and Dictators that it isn't anything special. it also heals you which is nice, but very situational and the freezing effect just feels okayish at best. Not the worst, but not groundbreaking either. The other reason why Dicta OD should get at least some exp point gain is because sharing your OD actually gives other nonDicta players bigger advantage than Dicta user gains himself. That's because teammates' ODs also get a 50% boost bonus you do not get. So while Titan's dome and Hornet's AP also help teammates, they do not give your teammates any additional advantage in relation to you. Hope that makes sense.

  4. So, I was in ASL to finish a flag mission and there was this Support Nanobot Isida in defending team with like 800+ points. That made me all jealous, and I had to try it myself. I thought: "Nah it must have been just luck or something..." ...

    Agree with some comments above. I like the style of the new forum, but it's quite light, borderline foggy. It almost makes me feel like something is wrong with my eyes.
  11. Crusader Cold Resistance and Mammoth Lightweight construction, also managed to find Assault Rounds for Smoky yesterday or day before. They aren't the most useful, but hey, better to get them from regular container than from Ultra :D
  12. I tend to be quite critical lately, but I have to give it to you Tanki devs, the boxes have been quite a positive surprise to me. Props for that. Opened around 20 so far and have been lucky enough to get a good number of crystals, gold boxes, a shot effect, animated paint, and two augments. Not bad, not bad.

The fact that almost every single counter measure against these powerful and awfully unbalanced augments and drones is being hidden behind the paywall makes the game extremely difficult for free users. I think over the past year or two, free users have been stripped of so many things. If you take the EMP for example, it could be balanced with the EMP immunities if they were at least moderately distributed in challenges. But who knows if those will ever even appear in challenge, and even if they do it might take literally months before you get the EMP suiting your equipment. More and more powerful equipment is being hurled into the game, but it is literally given only to a one spectrum of their player base, the buyers.Now don't get me wrong, I am not complaining about buyers in any way, they are essential and needed for the game, but I get the feeling they have been given an extreme edge over the regular player base.

  18. Nice missions, they are quite challenging, but i much prefer these over the Ice&Flame missions. I am just curious if the last one with Wasp requires to just have Wasp equipped or whether it is meant as destroying other tanks with Wasp's overdrive. It would be great to clarify that more clearly.

    I find this mission quite confusing. Doesn't it directly promote focusing on destroying enemies (TDM goal) instead of fulfilling different battle objectives in non-TDM modes?

  22. Interesting how you jump to conclusions based on assumptions and your own opinions. The fact, I had Hopper equipped actually did not play any role at all, but you just directly jumped on that train simply because of your negative opinion of Hooper. I did not use my overdrive, not even a Speed boost or a drone to really bring out that broken Hooper cheat you seems to be so passionate about in your reaction. If anything, it was actually that guy with a drone who had the advantage in equipment. Some aspects of Hooper are indeed questionable and it certainly does bring problems to the game, especially when paired with other OP equipment like Crisis drone, for example. But, you just picked one part of the statement without knowing any details and wrapped all your theory around it. I could achieve the same result by using Wasp or Hornet, and possibly even a medium hull on track. The point was that this person expected easy kills and was probably a bit salty about not achieving it when he simply threw away his advantage by the choice of his equipment and approach.

So, I was in a TDM battle with my very noobish, but effective Mk8 combo of Hooper/Magnum, and there was this guy with VIking/Smoky 9999 GS, obviously with maxed out Defender, so in other words giant pain in a butt to destroy. As it is painfully obvious, my combo isn't made for direct head to head combat, like let's say Firebird, so when this guy comes for me, I start maneuvering around the map with my Hooper and using Magnum's splash and ability to shoot over the map props to destroy the guy in the process. And then this guy writes in a chat; "HA, so you like to play hide 'n' seek flexoo" I found that mildly annoying and funny. I did not reply, but oml. "Excuse me good sir. Next time I will go directly to you with my light hull and turret that is almost useless in head to head combat just so you can get yet another kill with that painfully underwhelming combo of yours."
