I find it funny how this topic is "Let's Discuss Game Balance!" You know... like Tanki actually wants a balanced game.

This would be pointless for a lot of tanks... most notably Smoky and Twins, which have high reload rates.- 2,786 replies

Has Tanki gone too far with censorship and other stuffs like that?

I've been banned for saying "Druggers can suck a cherry lollipop", alright? Yes, Tanki goes too far with their censorship. -

I really do like this idea, but honestly, the idea for a Flashbang mine is... well, kinda weird. I realize that flashbangs are common in most FPS games nowadays, but that's when you're playing as a person. Tanks simply don't get flashed... An alternative would be the Shock Mine, which shorts out the driving and turning mechanisms, and cuts the movement speed, turn speed, and turret turn speed of nearby tanks in half (including whoever detonated it, if they're in range). Just a thought. ;)- 2,786 replies

Now it's time for me to rant about Vulcan. I hate Vulcan, alright? I thought it was a good idea when it was first announced, it looks cool, sounds cool, does decent damage, has great range, and is terrifying to go up against. It has a unique gyroscope effect and a pretty decent weakness -- you can't turn and fire fast enough at a tank at close range. All around, it's pretty well-balanced, and I think that it could be a great turret, except for one aspect... While Vulcan's impact force increases heavily (I'm guessing to counter the increasing weight of hulls), the gap between Vulcan's impact force and the weights of Hornet or Wasp (which many, many players use) increases severely. Look at this: Vulcan's Impact Force vs Wasp's Weight M0 - 115 vs 1100 (10.45% ratio) M1 - 235 vs 1391 (16.89% ratio) M2 - 310 vs 1799 (17.23% ratio) M3 - 475 vs 1908 (24.90% ratio) M3+ - 580 vs 2200 (26.36% ratio) As clearly seen by the figures, while Wasp's weight doubles between M0 and M3+, Vulcan's impact force is more than multiplied by 5 by the same modifications. What does this look like in the battlefield? As a Wasp M2 (full micro-upgraded Wasp M1) player, I've been rendered helpless simply by coming under fire from an M1 Vulcan, and have been literally flipped over by an M2 Vulcan on several occasions. I thought that the only turret that was supposed to be able to incapacitate or disable a tank (for a short time) was Freeze, and with that gun, you have to drive up next to them and fire for several seconds before you can freeze them. With a Vulcan, you can do so at range, and completely incapacitate a Wasp or Hornet, flipping it or forcing it to drive into a wall. In short, starting from Vulcan M1, the impact force for Vulcan is completely insane, and should definitely receive a nerf.

Yeah, I pretty much knew that anything I said against supplies would be ineffective. Point is, if you're drugging constantly, you're actually hurting the game, not helping it. Every player you kill unfairly gets a bit more upset at you for doing so, and will either a] become just like me (someone who "whines and complains"), b] up and leave the game (hurting Tanki's critical mass), or c] also become a drugger and continue to hurt the game. I still feel that if enough players understand this, and if enough players speak up about it, Tanki won't be able to ignore us and will finally address the subject. I doubt they'd change anything, but at least addressing the subject head-on would be nice, rather than ignoring the imbalance and telling the devs to politely look the other way. Until then, I shall do my best to be that one annoying thorn in the side of druggers, to show that I'm displeased. If we all dislike something, but nobody speaks up about it, Tanki will think "Ah, everything is fine with the world", and will continue to crap all over their non-paying and non-drugging communities.

Double Damage gives a 100% damage boost... Double Armor gives a 100% health boost... Repair Kit regains 100% of health (200% with Double Damage)... When all three are combined, you have a tank with 2x damage and 4x health... If you pick up all three drops, you're either a] lucky, or b] a pretty skilled tactician who knows where and when to collect the drops... If you activate two or more with your keyboard, you're about as smart as the average goldfish... Can just anyone support a constant drugging career? Perhaps, but not likely. You'll have to play through the game several times to learn how to do so... Unless you just pay money to buy kits and/or drugs. Then you're a winner. Not because you're skilled or smart, but because you're a buyer. And in every single game ever, buyers must always have massive game-changing advantages over non-buyers. That's just the way the world is. Which, by the way, is totally fair to those who aren't buyers and dislike your constant abuse of game powerups. They're just whiny jerks. Feel free to insult them, mock them, invade their topics, etc. -- our mods will pretend to ignore you. <_<

Isida's probably my favorite weapon in the game. If you're an active and dedicated healer, you can single-handedly change the tide of the battle. If your team has two isidas and your opponents have none... you've basically won. So much fahn. :3

What makes you Mad in Tanki? Things you hate/like in the game?
AlphaNinjaGirl replied to Ditzy-Dip in Archive
When you're carrying the flag, you go for a cap, and one of your teammates blocks you. But instead of simply running into him, the game lags, you end up on TOP of him, and self-destruct. Then he runs around like a noob, gets killed, and lets an enemy return the flag. This has happened to me far too many times for me to count. -
I don't even think you read my second post. Here's a snippet of it for you to recap:

"Drugs" (as I define them) are garage-activated supplies, as opposed to drop boxes. I know there's some grey area there, so I'll just use 'garage supplies' and 'drop boxes' for this post. I'm all for drop boxes. They require you to be in a specific spot at a specific time, but reward you for getting there with powerful boosts -- 2x damage, 2x armor, 30% speed, or full repair. Dropboxes should NOT be changed, since they make map knowledge more important. Garage supplies, on the other hand, can be activated by simply pushing a button. No driving to the drop zone, no waiting for the parachute, and you can activate them at any time. Even in the middle of battle. And several at a time. For instance, it's possible to equip Double Damage and then use a Repair Kit immediately afterwards. If done right, this gives you a health boost of nearly 400%. You cannot convince me that a 400% health boost is "balanced and fun for everyone". -
It's called dramatic irony... jeez. The druggers who drug at appropriate times (i.e. in moderation) are alright, I guess. I can understand if you need a DA when you charge the flag. Fine. The druggers who constantly, CONSTANTLY spam the buttons are the ones I have beef with. Mashing 1234 over and over and over shouldn't make you an unstoppable beast in any game, so why is it in effect here? Really? Would any druggers care to stop drugging to back up those claims? I thought not...

I have a question for everyone here... Do you think PRO pass is worth the 5000 crystals it costs?

1. Drugs 2. Druggers 3. Players who ignore the thousands of players who hate druggers 4. The fact that the devs ignore thousands of players who hate drugs 5. People who make up crap arguments to support their view on drugs 6. People who "like" others' crap arguments 7. Vulcan -
... I mean yeah, drugging requires you to wait until boxes light up and then press the corresponding button. I guess that qualifies as a skill...? When most people say "druggers are noobs", it's because it is impossible to tell how good a drugger is at the game because their tanks are constantly powered up, and most non-druggers feel that if this wasn't the case, they'd be terrible (or at most average). Answer me this -- if you find it difficult or impossible to play the game without constantly spamming powerups... how good really are you at the game? At most, you're just average. At least, you're

So right now, I've got Isida M2 and Wasp M1 (with 50 microupgrades). I've kinda been thinking about getting Railgun M2 to add to my M2 collection, but I also really need to update my "Storm" paint. Any ideas on what I should get?

A twins player doesn't have to worry about reload time at all. Sure, you still have to aim, drive, etc., but I've literally played Twins with a weight on my spacebar and won. (Not on this account, obviously, but my point still stands). Even the game devs realize that Twins is bullcrap, since one of the Twins achievements is "Master of Simplicity". Oh, and by the way -- since you kinda started this discussion about Twins here, I can reply here. -
Wow. I specifically asked for my poll not to be merged with this topic since this topic has no poll... and it was... Mods are jerks...
-
And I, too, made a poll. Please check it out and cast your vote! Your opinion is highly appreciated.
-
Well... *shrug* I thought the only way to get the job done was to do it myself. Sorry if I offended you.
-
Well, this is a rather controversial topic. So, I've decided to open this poll to see what the masses think about drugs, since the "Let's Discuss Supplies" topic doesn't have a poll. Please note that this topic is about garage supplies (activated with the 1-4 keys), and is not about supply drop boxes. Also, this topic is not about discussing mines, since mines are not considered drugs by many. I'd open a poll about that last one but the site only allows you three polls per topic... Mods, please don't lock or merge this topic with another topic since this topic is a poll.
-
Who here thinks this topic needs a poll? I think this topic needs a poll.

Operator. Buddy. Calm down. ;) The fact of the matter is simple -- a lot of players want to play XP/BP. Not all of them have a PRO pass. Not all of them have M2's or M3's. But they still want to play, and it's their right to play the game in whatever mode they can. It's impossible to tell which battles are XP/BP and which aren't, and until Tanki fixes it (by allowing players to name battles or by fixing the XP/BP format), you're just going to have to accept that a lot of games (mostly Sandbox CTF's) are XP/BP. If you come across an XP/BP match and you don't feel like changing, the polite thing to do is leave. You don't have to, but you'll make everyone upset. Just because you yourself don't care for the mode doesn't give you the right to ruin the game for those who do. Be the better obscure company and don't be a jerk, even if you think the players you're playing with are jerks.
-
Honestly, Freeze tanks are probably my favorite gun to play with (not play as, but play with). They can stop a drugging flag-stealer dead in their tracks, which is insanely powerful for defense.
-
On a note other than XP/BP battles or kits or drugs... I think Vulcan M1-M3's impact force should be nerfed. I can't tell you how many times I'd be playing just fine, when all of a sudden I get hit by a Vulcan from across the map and my tank would literally begin doing cartwheels. I realize Wasp is a small hull and thus should be affected most by Vulcan, but Tanki must also realize that Wasp is one of the most popular hulls, and creating a turret with this much power is just dumb. #NerfVulcan
