  1. ...Wow. Just wow. I don't know whether to be shocked or amused, because this is just insane levels of stupidity. If you held down the spacebar as Railgun, you're still only going to shoot every 6 seconds or so, meaning that you won't be able to time your shots correctly and thus won't hit... anything. Seriously, try playing with Railgun with your spacebar constantly pressed. It's dumb. Thunder's a lot like Railgun, with the added disadvantage that if you hit something close to you, you'll deal self-damage. Imagine driving through a tunnel with the spacebar held down; if you came to a corner, you'd blow yourself up. Again, what sort of analogy is this? Same goes for Smoky and Hammar (although it's slightly less difficult). You potentially could play like this, but it wouldn't be very effective since you can't time your shots correctly. And for Rico... as soon as you run out of your energy pool, you'll be firing at a painfully slow pace... dare I say even slower than Thunder. So, yeah... A_R_A_K_E_L_Y_E_N, mister "I've been on PRO's advice"... how dumb are you?
  2. XP/BP battles have been a thing for a lot longer than XP/BP mode was introduced. A lot of players who don't have an M2 XP/BP combo still want to play that mode. However, when someone who doesn't want to conform to XP/BP joins the game, their argument is "well duuuh game didn't have XP/BP format". Like I said, XP/BP should support all modifications of Railgun, Wasp, and Hornet, not just cater to the higher ranks. However, until that gets fixed, players who enter XP/BP battles and don't want to conform to the rules are ruining the game for all players involved.
  3. You do realize that XP/BP battles are M2 and M3 combos only, right? Players with Railgun, Hornet, or Wasp M1 won't be able to compete in those battles, which is why a lot of battles are made without that format. And again, it's immensely frustrating when everyone's playing with Railgun for some guy to show up in a Vulcan and refuse to change. It messes with the game balance and makes very many players upset. You'd do well to just leave the battle.

Is skill needed for this game?

I agree with you on Twins and Shaft (since even the most basic of chimpanzees can use them), but Isida? As a regular Isida player, I'd like to inform you that it's no easy task. Keeping your team healed while also finding priority targets and shutting them down is pretty freaking hard...

Is skill needed for this game?

I realize this is only speculation, but I'm sure a lot of people will agree with me. Here are my top 5 things (in order) that kill tankers the most: Drugs -- Obviously. I think their power is simply unrivaled due to almost... well, everything. No matter how good of a tanker you are, there's always going to be that noob Railgun with a Double Damage who kills you simply because he knows how to press the number 3. Kits -- Kits are number 2 because they're pretty gosh-darn rare in most ranks, yet when you do come across one, you may as well quit the game, burn down the computer, and move to a ranch in Nevada, because these things are insanely powerful, granting payed players massive bonuses at low ranks. It's possible to get the M1 Smoky, M1 Viking, and Swash paint at Staff Sergeant. Staff Sergeant! It doesn't help that these things also come bundled with drugs... Lag -- I know it's a common excuse for a lot of simple stupidity, but it wouldn't be common if it wasn't a thing. Lag kills a lot of players, whether it be due to server lag causing tanks to glitch through one another, or FPS dropping that doesn't allow you to react accordingly, or a Railgun striking a target that's behind a wall. There's also that glitch that doesn't allow you to deal damage until you've died once, which has killed me more than I'd like to imagine. Level Design -- It's inevitable that you're going to have to jump off a wall or ledge sometime during your Tanki career, and unless you're a dummy, you should be able to land most jumps. However, in almost all grassy-themed maps, if you jump off a ledge at a slight angle, you're history. I'm sure we've all been frustrated by the death-drop from Serpuhov, the ramps on Monte Carlo, and the guardrails on Brest. Skill -- And NOW we get down to actual skill. Tight maneuvering, great team communication, hitting every shot, timing attacks, etc. While a skilled player can easily dominate a "noob" player, there are so many other factors in place that'll allow the "noob" player to win. So, in conclusion... skill is nice to have, but it's not necessary to win. Like I said, equip Twins, place a brick on your keyboard, drive around and mash the 1-5 buttons.

Is skill needed for this game?

Of course skill is required. It takes a lot of time and effort to buy a Twins, grab a brick and place it on your keyboard, and mash the 1-4 keys...
  7. Considering that XP/BP formats don't support M0's or M1's, it's impossible for those ranks to play format battles. Just imagine how annoying it would be for them if they're all using Railgun/Hornet and then suddenly some Vulcan/Mammoth or Isida/Viking shows up and messes up the game.
  8. When you collide with a tank, the server lags and places you on top, and then you self-destruct because you're "cheating". ._. Alternatively, during a parkour or non-hostile match, when I try to jump onto another tank just for the lolz, and self-destruct.

    Let's Discuss Supplies!

Really? Repair kit already repairs 200 damage per second for 2 seconds, or 400 damage. Since most hulls in the game don't have that much health, it's also widely regarded in the low to mid-high ranks as 2 seconds of invulnerability. The only problem seems to be with M3 Mammoth (or M4 Titan). However, the number of players who actually use M3 Mammoth is very, very small. And even so, if it leaves 10% of damage or so... it's just 10%. It's not something that's big enough to be consistently game-changing. Adding 4 extra seconds to Repair kit (6 seconds of 200 hitpoints per second = 1200 hitpoints) would make Repair kit even more overpowered than it already is. Six seconds of near-invulnerability is way too big of an advantage. A better Repair Kit would heal 500 damage in 1 second. That way, players would not have the "invulnerability effect" (repair kit is supposed to repair damage, not prevent it) and would still heal Mammoth M3 fully.

    Let's Discuss Isida!

You know what dedicated healers like? Big, brave tanks who are big enough to hide behind and can tank the damage for you. Make like you're going for the flag, then at the last second let us snag it and run off while you cover us. Yeah! :P
  11. AlphaNinjaGirl

    Let's Discuss Isida!

The self-healing is a nice touch, especially because since you're a healer, you can't heal yourself. However, the self-healing doubles when you have Double Damage activated, and quadruples when you have both Double Damage and Double Armor activated. That makes it an absolute beast in DM mode, especially since you're the only turret that can self-heal. The best counter to an Isida is either a high-impact gun (Twins, Rico, Smoky) which can really mess with your aim, or another Isida, since your self-healing counters theirs.

    Ideas for Supplies and Drones!

Hmm... how about a "Rush" supply. The supply must be activated within 45 seconds of being picked up. When you activate it, your tank rushes forward at great speed for a short distance (the distance and speed is affected slightly by the size of your hull). If you ram an enemy tank, the enemy tank is immediately destroyed (regardless of Double Armor), however if you ram a barrier or obstacle, you take a large amount of damage. Probably never gonna be implemented, but still interesting to think about. Imagine how much fun "bumper car" matches would be with this powerup. XD
  13. DARK combos. And by that, I mean "Double Armor/Repair Kit" supply users. You know the type. The ones that you sneak up on with your Firebird/Ricochet/Hammer/Freeze and start to put boots to butts, only to have them spam this magical little "2-1" combo as you fire your last shot or burst, then turn around and murder you while you're reloading. I mean... come on, Tanki, why is this still in the game?

1,148,675 crystals. Probably more than you have at the moment. :P

Episode 85 of the V-LOG is here

I found all 3 codes on my 2nd viewing. It's a shame my computer doesn't support Unity. :( Ah well. Good luck finding them! (They're not that hard to find, really XD)
  16. People calling me whiny because I dislike Vulcan. Hurr durr durr...

Say hello to Episode 82 of the V-LOG

Hmm, so if I push an enemy flag carrier off the edge to make him self-destruct, I'm being rude? Instead of... y'know, being a good teammate and getting our flag back? Okay then...

    Let's Discuss Isida!

Guys, if you need heals from a nearby Isida, don't freaking shoot at him. Chances are he sees you and is gonna heal you, so calm your butt cheeks. There's nothing you can do that's more frustrating to a healer than pounding him while he's trying to heal someone else.

Say hello to Episode 82 of the V-LOG

Just a random question... Why is Isida regarded as the "Girl's" turret? For a lot of "Guy" tanks, we've seen Hornet/Railgun, Thunder/Mammoth, Thunder/Viking, Shaft/Dictator, Twins/Hunter, Hammer/Wasp, and lots of other combos, but for the "Girl" tanks, we get... Isida/Hornet. All. The. Frickin. Time. It's not that I hate Isida, it's just that I'm flustered by the guys who think I should be using an Isida just because I'm a girl... :( I'll stop rambling now.

Say hello to Episode 82 of the V-LOG

If it's comforting, know that I'm not giving out pics of myself playing the game freely. Mainly because I don't have Instagram, but also because I really don't give a damn about the prize. 50K crystals is not worth condemning hundreds of people to look upon the abominable mess that is my face...

Say hello to Episode 82 of the V-LOG

I was a little bit freaked out by the V-LOG. Mainly because the girl in the drawing looks a lot like me. Same eye color (well mine are a tidbit lighter), hair color and length, skin tone, and even bust size. Heck, she's even a 1st lieutenant, just like me! The only difference is that I don't have Rail/Hornet M2. Ah well. ^_^ Anyway, I just thought the pic would make for a nice desktop wallpaper.

    Let's Discuss Isida!

Another tip concerning Isida: If you're going in for an attack or being bombarded or something and you have a healer behind you, DON'T be a coward and run away. There's nothing more frustrating to a medic than a cowardly teammate, because if the teammate runs, that leaves the medic as a sitting duck. Instead, keep pushing forward like you were normally. Trust that the medic will keep you alive. If you die because of his incompetence, that's his fault, but if you turn tail and both of you die, that's your fault. In short, if you've a medic, be brave. He'll do his best to keep you alive, you worry about getting kills and racking up that sweet K/D.

    Let's Discuss Isida!

I'm glad they changed Isida's look. This thing looks like a Vrass Heavy Missile from Armor Command '98... I would NOT go to this thing if I wanted to get healed.

    Let's Discuss Isida!

I'd recommend saving your crystals and buying M1 Isida instead. You seem to play with Isida a lot more than Smoky (and quite honestly Smoky M1 kinda sucks). Plus, you'll get a lot more team victories as an Isida, as well as a lot of experience points. ... Of course, I just checked your profile and saw that you bought Smoky instead, so... nevermind.
