Still a weak turret except on Monte and Serpuhov.
-
Not really. In my noob account I use twins and I melt railguns.
-
Sliding can be useful, keeps you steady when firing and cornering at the same time.
-
And wasp is too unstable. You have no idea how many waps I've flipped over the years.
-
Dude, you've commented on every single thread here.
-
Hmmm, viking used to be able to jump at Monte, I think the nerfed the speed. Hunter is still too weak at M2, so at my level I use viking, but at M3 hunter certainly seems the better choice. I've got all that to look forward to... -_-
-
Ya, but shaft-wasp is not effective, yet people still seem to use it. I reckon it's a conspiracy and they all want to annoy me.
-
Anyone who uses shaft on wasp deserves prison or worse. Such a stupid, ugly top-heavy combo. And to anyone who says it doesn't matter what your tank looks like, I raise this argument; whatever you do on tanki, you're trying to get a certain combination of pixels lit up on your screen, so WHY would you ruin all your efforts and make those pixels into an ugly shape? People should choose a pretty combo, not a good one.

Wasp isn't that fun when I keep flipping you with railgun or smoky. Hornet has balance, forget the extra helth, the balance is suberbly useful.
-
I find it quite disconcerting how only sub-captains push railgun. Then again, M1 is the biggest boost of all the mods.
-
Lol, how do I find tanks exploding every second repetitive? Well. Isn't that kinda self explanatory? You don't need much thinking for Poly CP. Either put firebird, charge to the middle and die, or camp back with thunder and glue your finger to the space button. Sounds abit repettitive to me.

:) Sanity prevails
-
-_- Thanks for that.
-
Well, speed is never really a disadvantage, and turning circle for medium hulls is much less relevant than for the lights. Anyway, I'm out of things to say on this topic. I've explained my love of viking, so I'm out of other things to discuss.
-
Excuse my typo.
-
Yeah, I wasn't condemnig other turrets, railgun just fits my playing style. You may think thunder is more fun which I respect. Rail looks epic when it charges as well, which I like.
-
Yeah, I think you're right actually. According to the wiki anyway. IDK if the rebalance changed that or not.
-
I'm talking about viking M2. I'm pretty sure it hs better turning speed than dictator, but I'll go check that now for ya.
-
I like railgun a lot. And no, I'm not a fanboy and I DO use other turrets. I just find railgun more fun to use than alot of other turrets. You have to keep on the move contantly, if you camp for too long you'll get pinned to the wall by and enemy shaft or another railgun. I don't see why people get all uppety when people say they like railgun. It's a good weapon with a long history. I used to love shaft, but I think railgun is fun to use for trying out your aiming skills, something I enjoy. Sure, smoky, thunder and shaft all have instant bullet travel time and can hit at long range, but it seems more rewarding with rail since you can deal max damage at long range. Anyone agree?
-
New thunder is a nightmare for weaker hulls, but heavies can laugh as they shrug iff thunders low DPS. DPS isn't everything though. For example, a gun that did 1000 damage per shot but took a minute to reload would have high DPS, but be largely pointless. Thunder got more sluggish, but better for striking flag holders and priority targets.
-
Viking seems much more discrete and better for CTFs and CPs where your combination of low profile and high health make it even more survivable than the heavies, if you know what you're doing. Dictator is good if you wanna takemon a few enemies at a time, where your height means you can aim over some enemies to get to others, if you have skill. Still, my playing style is more discrete, and I like to deal as much damage as possible without being noticed. I respect dictator, but I don't like using it.
-
Also, the prices are very similar when factoring the added cost of M1 dictator over M1 viking.
-
Price does not effect performance. What's better, railgun M0 or railgun M3? Few people would argue for the former. I play pro battles with no supplies and no micro upgrades. The pure version of the game where skill and equipment are all that matters. Also viking at M2 has better manoeuvrability and the lower profile is helpful is 1 v 1 combat. I used to play dictator and found the height more of a hinderance than a help.
