I totally disagree with this, battle chat should only be to coordinate with the team and improve playing, not to chat with your freinds. Chatting in battles is already enough of a problem because it makes the player inactive for sometime.

I personally think its better to have quality more than quantity.

The changes do come into effect however the indicators don't change. You can try it out on a Speed Boost if you like.
