I think I am going to give this war a try. I passed on the first war because I was busy grooming alts. That’s done, and I’m back to mostly playing on this account. I’m a bit bummed we can’t pick our faction. I’m pretty concerned about the impact of the Double Star Buyer pass. IMO those need to be sold exclusively BEFORE the war starts and then the purchasers are divided equally between the factions.

I am a huge fan of Assault Mode as intriduced during the holiday celebrations. I was one of the players clamoring for Tanki to bring ASL back. Then they did. I won’t retell the whole story but after numerous changes the mode ended up being Blue team dominant on almost every map. Clans and friends exploited this. Finding open spots on a winning team was impossible. The mode became unplayable for casual gamers. Now Matchmaking has thrown a monkey wrench in the plans of those exploiters. Sure the imbalance is still there, but MM scrambles the eggs, so to speak, and Blue teams can’t just instantly set up a defensive perimeter and lock out the battle anymore. Simply put it’s fun again.

Played three JGR battles yesterday. Two used my favorite combo, with which I have the most experience. Then I switched to Viking-Freeze with 45% Freeze protection. Didn’t break the top 10 at the end of the first two. Finished first place once I switched to Freeze w/prot. Go ahead and tell me Freeze is ‘balanced’ I know which equipment I have to take into battle now in order to squeeze crystals out of this game.

I’ve seen you in battle and can attest to how skilled you are with Wasp-Hammer. I keep asking myself how a Wasp can be so hard to kill? #Respect

^yep Freeze protection is essential for JGR mode. I’ll pair with protection from Thunder and Railgun when joining a battle in this mode then change only when something else gets annoying. I didn’t play JGR today and I’m pretty sure it’s because JGR hasn’t been added to the Quick Battle list.

Ricochet is good through M2. M3 and M4 Rico are good I’m PRO no-supply battles, but with drugs on, Rico runs out of ammo too fast.

Hmm, but looking at your chart one would conclude Rico is more of a menace than Magnum. I don’t thinks many would agree.

IMO this is a flaw. I agree with the earlier poster who suggested that next Juggernaut is the player who dealt th most damage.

Yeah, I just opened 15 on Second Lieutenant alt. Best I got was 250 of each supply, although I did get about 5 of the 3500 crystal packs, which was pretty cool. Speaking to the original topic, I’m pretty sure rank has nothing to do with rewards.

They may or may not nerf it but don’t count on Freeze changing anytime soon. Honestly I think either Smoky or Ricochet are up next for a surprise buff. Both of those are pretty meh in Legend MM battles. Personally I’d love to see Rico buffed - it runs out of ammo before doing much of anything. Sure it’s good in PRO battles, but IMO PRO battles won’t be around much longer (different topic though).

Trying to rank an alt from Second to First Lieutenant during double battle funds event. I should make it no problem, and I’m getting loads of crystals along the way, but I can sure tell that XP gain has been slowed waaaay down.

The getting near Juggernaut is easier said than done. But I have seen Juggernaut drivers exploit map bottlenecks, like spaces behind buildings or bridges to minimize the number of attackers they have to deal with at any given time.

Bozo88, I can collaborate your view on light hulls vs JGR. It’s not pretty. I tried a Second Lieutenant battle with Hornet-Isida M2.10 and could not even get close to the beast much less kill it. I actually won a later JGR game in Kungur when I stopped trying to kill the beast and just played the round as a normal DM.

Someone suggested everyone is on a team against Juggwrnaut. Not sure how this would be scored, but aside from that, I like the idea. It’s really frustrating to be near a Juggernaut kill only to have someone snipe you from behind. Happens all the time.

JGR on Brest is no good. Tank goes up on top of either tower and cannot be killed. Just saw a guy rack up a full 100 kills. .

Good point. Depends on how funds pay out once double guns days are over. If it doesn’t pay, it doesn’t play....

Played one JGR battle. 70% Freeze 20% Fire 10% Rail ^I I don’t think this is a JGR problem, rather a player perception that Freeze is OP. Juggernaut was very effective at repelling short range attackers with the kickback overdrive Juggernaut generally got 2-5 kills before being destroyed. I think that’s good. I was not able to kill Juggernaut so can’t speak to how it felt to play as the supertank

I keep hoping they will offer Halloween paint for one of these crazy weekends. I would no life for that. .

I think you are right. But even 50% protection won’t save you from 2-3+ Freezes ganging up on you.

I am excited about the Juggernaut release! I do have the same concern about Freeze. Juggernaut has no anti-Freeze defense. I can see this mode degenerating into an all-freeze dogpile on the Juggernaut. Also Juggernaut hit points may be too low. With an entire team trying to kill you, 5-10k in damage adds up pretty quickly. The Shaft change has be scratching my head. Shaft arcade mode already competes with other short range turrets. Why they made this more of a mele weapon is beyond me. Jury is out on Thunder. Needs a buff at M3/M4 for sure but the M2 version mows the battlefield, so if they buff across the board, the M2 version will become godlike.

I remember that - which is why this entreaty toward TO players to try TX seems so - well, I’m just gonna come out and say it - creepy. It’s as if the designers think we have forgotten their earlier statements regarding the separate direction of the two games and also all the rage which resulted when they told us accounts would not be transferred. That’s all ancient history, right? </sarcasm>
