I wonder what the new kits will mean for future sales. With almost every combo imaginable in the newly expanded kit rotation, most of which are priced at 40% off, I imagine most players will now scoff at any sale less that 45-50% off since we can do as well with kits (sorry Gissmos). Just wait till what you want comes back around and snag it... What do you all think?

Just got to M3.7. Almost there. I swear with golds, I can never climb other tanks with Viking. But anytime I get into a shoving match, I 'always' lift onto the other tank, who then kills me from below. :/

I love my Viking, but nearly every gold box I have seen in the last two weeks has been taken by a Dictator.

I think you and I are at opposite ends approaching Polygon battles. You come with a strong Titan and are looking for a medium hull. I come with a strong (ish) Viking and have picked up a Titan, which I'm working on MUing. You're right about Maestro. I don't see many in battles. I still see a lot of Stormbringers. I think the latter wins. Rico M3 does indeed run out of ammo quick. I still think it's good for Poly DM but you have to hide and reload. It's a must. MUs help, but honestly damage drugging helps more. For Poly CP, the number of Titans and Mammoths prowling around just don't give Rico a chance. You always run out of ammo a shot of two after they press 1.

Tankers Day last year had 40% discounts, and the forum response was disappointment, frustration, and spikes of hatred and rage. This was after daily missions initial version flooded the game with supplies and crystals. After management realized that real money flowing into the game either could diminish or already was. Since then we have seen a series of events and celebrations much more frugal in terms of players economy. Tanki's Birthday 50% was a welcome exception, but I do expect Tanker's day to return to the less generous discounts... to be something like 35% or perhaps something more imaginative yet ultimately along those lines in terms of overall price reduction. I'm not saying this because I know anything. I don't. I'm also not saying this because I expect to be disappointed. I don't think I will be. I say this so that anyone reading will have a realistic expectation of what Tanker's Day might be like. Better yet, expect nothing, and let the game surprise you.

I toyed with buying Osaka on an alt. Ended up buying Stinger. No regrets.

210k vs 115k I'm really kinda regretting not buying Urban on sale. Lacking Twins protection really hurts on Poly CP, which is about the only battle left. At this point, I will hold out for next sale or see what happens with Modules.

After the recent 50% MU sale, don't be surprised if there is no MU sale on Tanker's day. I am only speculating, but Tanki does not always include MU sales as part of Holiday celebrations. After one this good, my expectation is that Tanker's day will have either no MU sale or perhaps a much smaller one.

Have you asked on the Dictator thread? I don't prowl there so I don't know how active it is, but you can get some hands on reviews of Dictator M3. Chasing tanks is usually a bad idea - I think I ranted about that in some thread or another. As you pointed out you almost always end up narrowing your focus too much and get killed by someone sneaking up behind you. It also costs precious time. Dictator is the slowest Medium hull, but not that much slower than Viking. For Polygon, it won't make a difference, but I hear you on Titan... Even in Poly it can be maddeningly slow. You can use speed boosts but that messes up your cool down cycle for your other drugs. Then there is MUs. Since Dictator is a late unlock M3, it does not improve nearly as much with the expensive MU to M4. Which brings me back to Viking. Viking wins the MU contest for most improved between M3 and M4. Mine is M3.6, and I am extremely impressed with it's speed and armor. I also get exited when I can MU it since I get a full Armor point with each MU. So back to your question, which was best hull for Rico in Poly DM, I still stand by Dictator. And remember to use Rico's bounce. Polygon has lots of nooks and crannies in which tanks like to hide. Rico is excellent for spoiling this. But Viking is a close second choice.... It is a very versatile, inexpensive, and tough hull. Shines in Rio and a bunch of other maps where Dictator's size makes it a liability. Check the top 100 rankings page and see what hulls are in use. Last time I checked it was all about Viking and Hornet. Let me know what you decide!

I don't think this can be trusted. You've listed Atlas, which I just saw in the garage. I also doubt Tanki would retire an enormously popular kit like Minotaur, and Legend for that matter. Let's be patient. Kits are in flux right now. We'd gotten used to a predictable rotation, but it wasn't always like that. I remember almost a year ago when kits would come and go seemingly at random. This will either settle into a pattern or it won't. Rotating kits adds some excitement and vitality to the game. But in terms of economy, players would almost certainly spend more crystals faster if all kits were always in the garage. Just my opinion...

^ also thought about Urban. Kinda kicking myself for not getting It. Still good Twins protection and at half the price, the overlap with Lumberjack is tolerable.

Yep Hornet for M0-M2 and Viking for M3-M4. It's almost a rule.

My second highest MU turret at about M3.4. I put exactly one MU into it during the sale. Mostly collects dust next to the vastly superior Ricochet and Twins.

Viking M3.6 thanks to MU sale. Damn this tank is awesome. Speedy and highly maneuverable with armor that increments by a full point with each MU. Will definitely continue toward M4, which I expect to just freaking rock!

I think I am done with product kits, at least on my main. I got most of the equipment I want on this 50% sale. Most kits out there now don't save me anything much since I already own one or more components. Stormbringer and Eyja- are still options though. But M4 RicoViking is my priority now. Then protections depending on what that ends up looking like. I need Clay or its protection equivalent.

I answered this on the Rico thread and said Dictator. I stand by that for maximum cone of aim given Dictator's height. I do love love love my Viking though. But it requires MUs. Dictator M3 is good out of the box. Edit - Zeus for Poly DM, Africa for CP Unrelated - I also see a lot of Smoky vs Twins questions, so I tried this myself wearing Titan and Lumberjack in Poly DM. All equip is stock M3. Twins worked better than Smoky. Kill stealing was a problem with both turrets but I could land the killing blow much more often with Twins. I expected this in CP but was surprised it was also the case in DM. I might still try the perch in CP with Smoky to see how that goes. .

Atlas is back. That should make folks happy, since I read some concern a few posts back that it might be retired. On that note, I would not expect Tanki to retire any popular kits unless maps started swarming with them to the exclusion of other combos this creating a balance problem. Short of that - if it sells, sell it!

For Poly DM, I'd have to pick Dictator. Rico has a wide cone of fire, which Dictator is best suited to exploit. You'll pop enemies above and below you. Dictator is also good for catching golds. As with any medium hull, and unlike heavy hulls, Dictator will allow you to run for cover while you reload. I see now that there is a M3 Rico-Dictator kit. Damn. I bet that kit is crazy good, although maybe not as much so as Stormbriger. I don't own Dictator yet, so this is pretty objective. I use Viking on Poly DM which is definitely good - but I do sometimes overshoot my target because Viking is so flat. Like driving a pancake. :). But it's tough, and speedy enough for me to get to cover while I reload. I can pretty reliably get top spot, second, or third in non-Gissmo battles (I am still a FieldMarshal) ;) Good luck!
