Players have always reported that the matchmaking system was broken since it was first released. Now, this experiment and the upcoming one on December are going to prove that the matchmaking system can be repaired by making some amendments to map sizes, turret and hull buffs and other improvements like new graphics for turrets, hulls, maps and skins. When the next experiment comes to an end like this one did, developers will combine the statistics for both experiments and choose the perfect middle point where tweaks can be made to make the refurbished matchmaking system perfectly balanced out between map size, turrets and hull buffs and the number of players on each of the teams. In addition to that, bug fixes are going to be applied to remove any anomalies that are remaining in the matchmaking system. We all want a perfect matchmaking system that works for all players so that Tanki Online can continue to be successful for many, many years to come.

If TDM juggernaut is played on a special map, then it will be a team juggernaut mode.

@Russty Maybe, super sized maps will be introduced. Since the player base is going to be 16 vs 16, some players with slow laptops will lag, so remember to turn down your graphics settings to low. My PC is an 8 core processor so it will cope with high graphics settings when this experiment starts. If Dusseldorf and Lost Temple maps are added to the pool of matchmaking maps, it is going to be fun playing on them.

I have good news for everyone. There is a second experiment which starts on December 2nd and ends on December 16th. This time, the experiment will focus on removing all small and medium sized maps and double the number of players from 8 vs 8 to 16 vs 16. This should be fun. This seconds experiment will be the opposite to this one we just had a few days ago. Maybe after this second experiment ends, developers will make the final decision on applying the update on map sizes and the number of players required for matchmaking battles. Also to take into consideration will be turret power and hull armor as well. I bet that this new coming experiment is going to bring lots of dynamic fun for players because it will surely bring more players together, making a bigger and better community of players that are friends. I bet this experiment will work better than the one we just had. As for a DM game mode, I bet that the solo juggernaut mode where each and every player is a juggernaut will make a comeback with twice as many players than usual. I tell you, that this should bring a lot of fun to the player base for another two weeks.

The new version of Microsoft Edge 87 has a new feature called Web Capture. Google Chrome has recently been updated to version 87 as well. Make sure that you players keep your web browsers up to date to get the very best experience of Tanki Online when playing. It works like the snipping tool in Windows 10 and can be used to quickly snip images in the example image I posted above. =========================================================================================================================== Where are developers going to add this update? The experiment ended two days ago, so I hope it wont take too long for an update for the matchmaking system to arrive soon. I know that developers will need a significant amount of time to add this re-balance matchmaking update but it should not be too long though. What I do hope, is for Tanki Online to grow every bigger and more popular than ever before. I just cannot wait for all the M3 skins, XT skins, Prime and Ultra skins to be released. The turrets and hulls themselves are going to need a complete redesign to make sure that Tanki Online looks modern and up to date from the 2020 decade. Maps have old graphics as well, so they are also going to need a complete graphic refurbishment to make their appearance appealing to all players playing Tanki Online. All those graphical improvements are going to be beneficial because they are going to pull new players into Tanki Online. I mean players who never played Tanki Online before, but who just discovered the game, like I did in April 2015 when I joined the game. I expect the graphics of Tanki Online to have a superior appearance that of Tanki X. Tanki Online is supposed to overtake and go way beyond Tanki X in all means of improvements and support for Tanki Online itself. Some players believe that Tanki Online is going to die after the Flash version of the game is discontinued. Well, I do not thing so because developers are spending countless years improving and updating the game to today's standards. Just in the similar way that Windows 10 is being continuously updated to reflect today's technology, then the same thing is going to happen for Tanki Online so that this game can survive as an involving online game who gains popularity by being updated and getting more and more players simply because of a game that is getting better and better all the time.

Now that this experiment ended, a while ago, there are some matchmaking battles that have 9 or 10 players on either teams. Is this supposed to happen? Was the number of players expanded to 10 vs 10?

Since the release of this update, there is a gray screen that appears randomly. That's how the gray screen looks like. Please fix it.

This is probably one of the very best matchmaking battles I have ever had. In this matchmaking battle, I finished 1st place with 490 points, winning on my team. I managed to get 21 kills and caught a gold box. This was due to this ultra weekend that brought me luck on this event. The double experience and fund boost is the way to go for ultra and crazy weekends. I wish that this ultra weekend had more containers because for those long missions where you need to make 100,000 points, one container kind of suck for such a big mission. This mission should reward players with 10 containers at least. Please be more fair next time with rewards.

Thanks to that ultra weekend that I have made it to Legend 48. The fund and experience gain is good.

I have just tried out the new graphics update with the maximum setting and there are no problems at all on my Ryzen PC. Everything works well for me. Please add an ultra graphics settings like in Tanki X.

@Sir_What I know you hate that, but that was like that during the experiment. I have an 8 core processor PC, so it is perfectly normal for me to re-spawn after death as juggernaut.

@Winter I have seen your YouTube channel. Its great. I even subscribed to it. Tomorrow's V-Log 279 news about how the experiment went will be exciting to hear. There is also mentions in this new episode of the V-Log, a new ultra weekend. That's before Black Friday 2020 sales.

I recommend that developers and forum administrators keep this forum open (for as long as possible) so that players can continue to post their feedback on how this experiment went during those two weeks. Players will also be able to post their ideas on what to do when the true and permanent update of the turret and hull buff is released. Matchmaking battles may or may not decrease their time limits, but for sure turrets and hulls at the MK8 modification should double to make sure that players manage to survive on the battlefield. I am aware that forum administrators are involved with developers so it is the developers themselves that are first in line to make decisions of the re-balance of turrets and hulls as well as the future of Tanki Online. I expect the coming re-balance update (on the behalf of this experiment) to make all hulls double their armor and also double the damage power of melee turrets. I hope that the coming update will be pleasing and exciting for everyone to enjoy for good. Good luck to everyone and may the luck always be with you all.

I just played a pro battle with Isida/Ares combo and both are king on the battlefield when used properly in pro battles. I don't see many of those combos in matchmaking battles.

I was happy with this experiment during the past two weeks. I have been most successful in battles due to the level of armor all hulls had and me finishing mostly in first place.

Everything needs to be boosted so that MK8 equipment can be truly strong.

@Boef You may think that, but I personally think that double the armor on all hulls and double power for melee turrets are fine. The only contradiction is 6 vs 6 which means less players in every matchmaking battle. Doubled Wasp and Viking's overdrive is also a good thing as well. Consider that to be true.

@Sir_What I thing that too. The energy power of short range turrets, (Isida, Freeze and Firebird), should be kept, along with the double armor for hulls. The double power for Viking and Wasp overdrive should also remain as double. Juggernaut's armor has been nerfed a lot, so this tank no longer feels like a true juggernaut tank. The team juggernaut mode should have 1 hour long battles with the juggernaut tank itself have 100,000 HP of armor. For special missions which requires to destroy a number of juggernaut tanks, I do agree on making the juggernaut tank weak, at 10,000 HP, but not for the team juggernaut mode.

Perhaps in next week's V-Log 279, developers are going to discuss about the end of Flash, or the week after that. However, for sure, in the upcoming V-Log 279, developers are going to talk about the end of this experiment and what it brought for Tanki Online for a future update on turret and hull buff. The Massacre map is back. That map is annoying in matchmaking battles. Developers need to move this map to pro battles. I guess that matchmaking battles would work best with small maps like Island and Archipelago.
