I got blind lucky. I had four turrets in my garage with the Damage parameter MU'd to the max. That one parameter was sufficient enough for me to compete. This update forced those turrets to max out to 100% (stock M2).

There are no more "individual parameters" for micro-upgrading. I think the users found certain parameters mattered when MUing and did not have to upgrade all the way. I think the majority of MUs were used to upgrade the Damage parameter and that was probably enough to have a slight edge or compete at the same level. Now you are forced to MU everything if you want that same Damage upgrade.

Does quick-scoping trigger sniper-mode damage?

It seems to be a popular combo. I guess when in Rome.... But the question is not the sheer numbers but if they properly handle this combo. Some may think "Oh it's professional so it must be automatic", which is an absolute fallacy. A huge ton of patience and care is required when handling a Railgun.
