You're absolutely correct. You will also see a lot of firebirds (and freezes) in battle now which makes the game more homogenous and boring.

In my opinion it's a really good, user-friendly turret. It steals a lot of kills because the damage (1000-2000 per shot) is effective against weakened tanks. Range is ok-ish. Better than smoky? I'm not sure. Up close hammer definitely wins especially if it has the alt with 5 shots. Smoky M4 with the alteration is probably better though.

Freeze is still far too powerful.

Some people will pay 70 Euros for a paint (smoky XT skin)... crazy. I don't care if they buy it but they are funding the terrible decisions of the devs.

MM system: <10% chance of a fair and balanced battle that starts at 10:00. Often I'm put into lop-sided battles or ones which are about to end. Without supplies I struggle a lot. Pro battle: I used to love this mode but now I am getting ganged up on in DM mode as I'm English and CP are all Russian speakers. I can't understand what they are saying to me and more often than not things turn hostile. It seems matchmaking is more user-friendly for a casual player like me but am I suppost to quit 9 times out of 10 before I find a fair battle?

Tanki has always had more Russian players than English but lately the game feels very hostile to me and I can't get a fair battle. For example, in no supply mode I like to play polygon DM (first to 37 kills), but I am ganged up on by Russian players. A lot of them will team up and shoot me and no one else. This never used to be the case... I play no supply mode as I rarely get a fair battle in the matchmaking system, but now I have nowhere left to play. Since the recent update, almost all of the battles have Russian titles which confirms to me that I am in a significant minority. I have 150k in crystals and I'm tempted to splurge it all today and not come back. I am sure there are lots of nice and fair Russian players but my experience on this game is getting worse and worse. In fact it's getting really miserable.

Almost every pro battle is written in Russian. That shows you tanki is almost totally dead these days outside of the hardcore players / enthusiasts.

Firebird is ok, the afterburn is better but now I'm out of DD again it won't do anything against M4s with infinite repair kits...

Turrets still not balanced. Make supplies free for everyone then things might be a little better, but not much.

I'm not playing the rest of the weekend. Too many drugs and one sided battles.

lol not surprising. I haven't played on any low ranked accounts in over a year because the drugging is so bad. Imagine some poor newbies joining tanki online and getting trolled by these hacking druggers.

Definitely getting this in the next big sale. I can't use / don't like striker and magnum so this will be my last turret.

I might upgrade it to 10/20 but I don't really like freeze. I prefer rico/twins/hammer.

Imagine mammoth guarding the flag. Now imagine it using the invincibility overdrive. Now imagine it using freeze M4 + corrosive mix + double damage.

I'm playing against thunders whilst using 45% protection and I would say thunder hurts a lot (especially if M4 of course). I counter it by getting up close so they absorb their own splash damage but you gotta do it from the side incase they pop a mine...

Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's hopeless (if the enemy all have high protection). Take twins for example. Having 41% protection against twins does not help me very at all... it still kills me quickly. But if someone has 41% protection against railgun? Game over man. I use railgun as a primary weapon but could never decide on a backup. Smoky was a natural choice but it's so weak without supplies. Ricochet is good too but what if the clip runs out.

I think there are lots of hacks that aren't being dealt with. I'm not sure how moderators police the game or if they are able to. For example, some tanks are just impossible to kill. I have had viking M4 for years and I know it can get destroyed in a few seconds, but there are other viking users who just... invincible. Multiple team members throwing everything at them and they just repair and overdrive and take us all out.

I said this years ago. This is a tank game. Tanks are meant to be strong. Why is titan/mammoth killed in a few seconds? Again, this is one of many reasons why people quit the game. Being cannon fodder isn't fun for the masses.

I'm not spending 125,000 crystals on protection... that's boring and I play games for enjoyment. Anyway, 35% protection will make no difference so you will have to spend another 200k... wallet warriors only. I have 41% protection against twins and it does nothing, so freeze protection will be even more useless.

Vulcan is a hidden gem if you have space around you. No one uses proteciton against it so mount it on titan, pop on double damage and get some easy kills.
