You mean old tanki when there were no daily missions with large weekly rewards + supplies, no R button to scan enemies equipment, paints that forced you to have specific protections and a crippled economy that only allowed people to buy 1 equipment combo and a ridiculously expensive MU system? As of right now, my viking is 9/10 and will be upgraded during the sale. I plan on muing it to 5/10 and either buying a module or muing my smoky with it. (for smoky viking) What protection should I buy? Should I skip the protection entirely and just wait for the rebalance?

Yeah... no. You have to be right next to a shaft to move faster than them, turret turning speed just goes up too high past m2, and speed boost affecting turning speed doesn't make things any fairer. A shaft can just sit in the middle of any moderately open space and charge up a shot capable of one shotting a light hull before they can even react. The same problem is with vulcan, with speed boost you can turn your turret faster than a light hull can circle around you and impact can push them away.

Smoky is an extremely good turret if you know what you're doing, ricochet is just an all round good turret. Both have good protections as twins and rico are very powerful and common. (the 36% from desert has served me well) If I had to pick one, northerner because you'll get good with smoky eventually. I'm planning on upgrading my smoky after I upgrade my viking in the next 50/70 sale.

There is no point in having both twins and firebird m2, (trust me i have 3 close range turrets) you will always use twins. If you absolutely have to buy twins m2, get minotaur but be warned you can't always get it and it could be a long time before it shows up again. You might have to settle for an inferior kit.

Why do you need another kit if you have firebird, and why would you want to mu firebird if you have access to twins? You could always go for the rico viking power combo.

If you have your firebird mued to m2, I would suggest just not buying another kit and focus on a hull and protections. If you want another turret, rank up and buy it alone at 50% off.

Thats way too much of a jump, there are just too many paints with the same colors for tanki to realistically make each special paint drastically different. Furthermore, how would anyone be able to fool someone else? I can put on any rare container paint and tell people I'm a mod and they will believe it, but anyone who actually cares would know who owns the real paint and who doesn't. Unless you want the words "SPECIAL EVENT PAINT" written on the side of the tank, there is no real way for tanki to "fix" this.

How exactly are you losing to isida? You do more damage and have more ammo, that should be impossible if they aren't using a heavy hull.

Come on guys, you're taking paints that have the same general colors now and calling them the same. They look very different even at medium range, if you don't like this you might as well try to get them to remove every red/orange/yellow paint from the game.

Freeze is OP, don't buy it though because they're going to nerf it into the ground again soon. You can still use m1 alts if you have m2s.

This is how kits work, it's the price of the turret and hull discounted to the nearest 5%. You buy the turret/hull at full price and get the paint and module for free.

This is an old bug usually caused by unstable connection to the server or framerate lag, there isn't much you can do to stop it.
