The game just is not made for a turret that can fire over walls. Cover is an important part of the game, it protects you from everything and is vital to using a turret such as railgun. Striker, thunder and ricochet can sometimes bypass cover, but not always and they have to actually go out into the field to hit people. Magnum can hit anyone on the map from any point, and there's nothing any other turret can do about it. It has 0 charge time and a ridiculous amount of damage that lets it easily kill tanks at close range too. On highways, a magnum behind the top wall of any team's base is completely invulnerable to anything but another magnum, a tank has to get up the ramp and behind the buildings just to kill the magnum once. The turret was quickly put together as a counter to campers, but what they forgot (or just didn't care about) was that people would camp with magnum too, and now be immune to everything.

I don't use firebird at all, in fact I have freeze m2 in my garage. Freeze already had 4 more seconds of ammo and a special ability that isn't just more damage, it doesn't need a gigantic damage increase, it needs the freezing effect to actually work on m2.5+ equipment.

And that's the problem, the only point of afterburn is to do extra damage. Not only does freeze do more damage than firebird, it also has almost twice the ammo and a freezing effect. The small bonus damage over time is basically the "useless" m2 alt for freeze.

The devs said that they were delaying balance changes due to the release of matchmaking. In the last vlog, they said they would start working on balance changes now that every big project is mostly done.

So to kick off the start of 2018 balance changes, the devs have drastically buffed the damage of freeze to the point of making it better than firebird in every single way possible. To make things even better, this is a small part of an unrelated update before the rebalance, so we can only imagine what other juicy things the devs have for us! What do you predict the devs will change? My thoughts are in the spoiler below. This topic is for both joke and serious responses, the spoiler is just an example. -

It could use a minimum damage buff to make 2 shots for light hulls more consistent, otherwise It's balanced enough.

How did you play for an entire week and not realize you had no alts? I immediately noticed my hammer was turning too fast so I replaced everything.

I think It's obvious what's causing the no damage bug, tanki devs decided it was unfair that shaft and vulcan were stuck with it so they applied it to all turrets.

Above, we see the average high ego railgun user who resorts to calling people ignorant and arrogant when they don't immediately bow down and suck the railgun. Hopefully, some day us hammer and twins peasants will be enlightened and come join the holy rail-hornet. -
I see lieu gens and marshals with m3s and m4s all the time, and It's funny how I get the honor of carrying their sorry asses with my m2.3 hornet. I never did this well in non-MM games. I still don't know how everyone I fight is so bad.

I don't see what your point is, a team with little skill and no protection against a common turret on the enemy team is going to be beaten badly. That's how the game works, there is no feat of great close range skill with the railgun users. -

Of course, the turret is good for picking off enemies at range, but rushing ahead and relying on one shots is just a terrible play against any decent team. If the enemy team is getting demolished by 3 railguns inside their base, they are just plain bad. -

It takes a lot longer to get to the enemy base from your own than it does for an enemy to purposely die to get a shorter supply CD. Even then, if you manage to kill one person you still have a long cooldown and a bunch of defenders/newly spawned tanks breathing down your neck. -
Played a horrible wolfenstien game, 1 out of every 10 shots does no damage. How does tanki manage to break something after every server restart?

I'd use my vulcan m0 competitively before I become a magnum main.

Buy? I'm not really doing anything with my crystals atm since I'm waiting for MU sales. It would be nice to have some form of magnum.
