Same, but I can also see why it was OP.
-
You saying that because your main turret is shaft or do you actually have an open mind on the matter? Also, if it were to get a buff, which buff would you like it to get?
-
I honestly have to admit that most of the time that a firebird has killed me, it was paired with a Viking. Same with other short ranged turrets that killed me. So maybe Vikings speed should nerfed a bit, I mean it already loses it when it gets frozen to the spot, and it's already gonna lose it when a hunter with OD ready stops it in its track. But it should also get an increase in weight to make up for it.
-
And it's actually really useful in highways Cp, just camp at the highest elevation in your teams base, throw them salvos at enemies that try to cap the bridge points, and there you go.
-
But strikers are rare so I don't worry about them. And that's because it's not so easy to master.
-
And what if someone wants to upgrade something else instead? You gonna say "nope too bad go put your crystals into firebird protection"? And why would I want to be in the same battle as an m4 firebird? For me that's like slitting my own wrist, in other words it's suicidal for an m2. Even m1 and m2 firebird give me trouble. And if you're basing it off on ranks then why are there legends that think that firebird is OP? Is it because they don't have strong enough equipment, or is it because they bring up valid points?
-
You're just one person, and so am I. But the difference between you and me is that there would be a lot of people who would agree with my points.
-
That alteration is very situation specific.
-
Firebird is OP even with protection.
-
Also, Viking loses its speed advantage if it's frozen in place or if hunters soon to be overdrive gets it. It will also lose its camouflage advantage if hornets soon to be overdrive gets activated. So basically, it's useless.
-
Keep a lookout for turrets like twins, ricochet, smoky, thunder, and railgun. These have the most affect on Viking in their respective range.
-
Firebird is way OP, pretty much everyone uses it. So protection is a must.
-
Any players that get to the game are instantly gonna leave and ain't ever coming back.
-
The rail was before I got any m2s. And then I got Viking, which for a long time I had to suffer the instability, in hope that the devs would give back it's stability it once had I even MUed it to m2.4 to give it a bit more weight but to no avail. Finally I gave up hoping that Viking would ever get back it's stability, and I switched to the OP hull, that is hunter, a couple weeks before tankers day, and I've been using it since.
-
Ok maybe ranks can a factor, just not a main factor, that should be to the m levels of the player.
-
Maybe they think they are skilled enough to not miss, idk. But what I do know is that the moment I bought m2 viking, I instantly regretted it, I was being knocked all over the place, and there weren't any real advantages to using it, I just felt like a worthless mult every time I used Viking, even though I could get a pretty decent KD out of it. Now that I use hunter m2.5 all the time, my m2.4 Viking has been collecting rust, dust, and even cobwebs.
-
I would recommend getting that predator kit if it's available for you. Thunder and hunter are a solid combo, and that grizzly module will help when fighting against other thunders, cause there's gonna be a lot of them as you go up in the ranks. And the kit is only 79,700 crystals.
-
And the worst part is that they don't know who has what alts.
-
Having it depend on ranks is just stupid. It should depend on the m-levels of the players overall garage.
-
They're idiots if they use it for anything but close ranged weapons. The extra 0.5 units of speed is not worth the loss of an immense 300 units of weight.
-
So you're saying that having isida, railgun, and hornet as your only pieces of equipment is better than having a diverse garage? If that's the case, then you got it all backwards. And I guess 9 years of playing this game has turned your brain to mush, either that or AP has paid you to say that.

data data data data
-
Viking is weak, it's instability is what makes it so weak.
-
I'm still not buying it though, not unless the range nerf gets reduced to about 50%
-
But you lose the range aspect, you are vulnerable to firebird, freezes, isidas, twins, and ricochets not to mention you also have to contend with self damage more often. It might be useful in polygon Cp. But it's quite useless in MM battles.
