1) no it didnt. If magnum "destroyed" any map, it was because of the design of the map, not the turret. Magnum just made it more obvious. 2) the most it has ever been balanced was when it was first released. But then devs decided to nerf the charging rate, which made it sluggish slow, which caused the users to start lobbing shots off ledges down onto lower elevated enemies and this caused many people to complain. Then they nerfed it's splash mechanics into oblivion, so now there's no point in using magnum unless you have an alteration or you just plan on lobbing shots. But one turret that can't work in TO is Gauss.

might be? Bruh, it is a problem. A big problem. Spawn killing ruins 95% percent of all team battles. There is no counter to such an exploit. this is wrong too. Happens in all formats. Matchmaking is no exception. might be unfair to those who abused this exploit over the years, but it's really retribution for those who have suffered from it. So I think it's fair. you're just mad because you are an exploiter and this was the only way you could do well in battles.

Zero damage respawning, perhaps one of tanki's better updates?
DieselPlatinum replied to Michael828 in Archive
Maybe a range limit or how far it can be seen like the supplies indicator. -
I absolutely hate challenges, at least as they are. And before anyone says anything, it's not because I'm a casual player. The real reason is that they straight up ruin battles. The last challenge for example was absolute Hell in the high ranks, exploiters were everywhere. Monday night's battles were some of the best high ranked battles I played in a long time, want to know why? It's because it was that gap between challenges.

Who really gives a crap about gold boxes? Only the black boxes are worth the effort. That's not a bug, that's a new feature that can potentially be the solution to the spawn killing epidemic that has plagued the game over the years. Most just think it's a bug. But read in game discussion, you'll see that it's heavily favored. No it doesn't. The spawn protection is a feature that is long needed to solve the problem of being spawn killed. Sure, it needs some more work, but when it's done, it'll be among the best features to be released in TO history.

What Is Your Opinion About the Current State of Tanki Online?

Here are the features released in 2019 and here's the truth on them: ·Challenges (the worst one of 2019) ·Over drives (good and somewhat bad, but at least they're being fixed now) ·Gauss ( absolutely horrible, almost as bad as challenges) ·Archipelago (just bad, but thankfully I rarely get put in it) ·Removal of the self destruction penalty ( really good) ·Coin boxes (meh) ·Hyperion drone (horrible, this was a huge problem before smart cool downs) ·HTML5 (best one of 2019) ·Tankoins (meh, would've been better to bring all individual m3s down to LT General, but the feature itself is ok I guess) ·Team juggernaut (awesome, really fun game mode) ·Seige mode (horrible) ·Spawn protection (needs some work, but has potential to be the game changing feature of the decade, so it's a good start) -

1) agreed 2) agreed 3) agreed 4) didn't know that issue existed, but agreed. 5) agreed, but I don't have a good idea of how to solve this problem. Maybe make the spawn effects against that particular player if they're in the enemy base for too long? -

That would be interesting, but RIP Vikings already slow charging time. -
"Bad" can mean anything. It can mean that it's weak (which I really doubt), or it can mean that it badly ruins gameplay (which I'm sure it is).

It's not sitting well with anyone except those butt hurt kids crying about it's instant hit feature being "too OP" and realism wanters.

Magnum is strictly a camping turret without RGC. And stock magnum lost its efficiency value when the turrets splash mechanics was nerfed into oblivion. IMO, Gauss and magnum (except RGC) should switch splash mechanics. That'll be a good first step in nerfing Gauss (even it wouldn't be enough to keep it from dominating the battles) and making magnum decent again.

Can you plz increase the delay of this challenge for another week. Last night's MM battles were the best ones I've had in like forever on my main account.

You're team must be trash if they can't gang up on the lone hunter. Or just have a teammate closest to the flag, return it. 1) same thing, just more specific. 2) finally there's a valid argument, but then again, where the Hell are your teammates in this moment? Why would these be my complaints? My complaints are usually more reasonable than the majority of the complaints being made these days.
-
2019 complaints of TO players: we hate losing the flag while being alive but losing the flag and dying at the same time is a ok. 2020 complaints of TO players: getting kill streaks is lame, but dying a lot is awesome. 2021 complaints of TO players: being successfully loaded into battles really suck, but getting errors is the best thing since sliced bread.

In rugby, the stun effect only lasts 3 seconds, so by then the ball carrier wouldn't have gone very far. In CTF, you can just pick it right back up or rush back into enemy base depending how close you are to it and you'll probably still have the advantage. If you lose the flag because you died, you already lost the advantage and by the time you get back into enemy base, they're already waiting for you. I really don't get why you're fine with losing the flag because you died, but when hunter zaps you, you're whining and complaining. If it was me, I would be pissed that I died while carrying the flag, I would have go through all the troubles all over again. But if a hunter zapped me, I would be relieved, I can just pick it right back up and be on my way.
-
Fixed. Also glad to see that you're finally admitting this.

Magnum: "Am I a joke to you?" The whole Gauss turret seemed like it was rushed just so they can have a turret released for 2019. They made the announcement maybe a week before it was actually released, so not much anticipation there. Design wise, it looks like Pinocchio shapeshifted into a Fox. Mechanics wise, it took good aspects that many turrets has or had: · Thunder and smoky ability to adapt to many different situations. · Strikers lock on and grace time (made longer for Gauss). · Magnums former splash mechanics. · Shafts former stealth ability. So no doubt it's an abomination.
-
Never said that the release of Gauss discourages the use of striker. I may have exaggerated a tiny bit by saying that ALL striker players flocked to Gauss. But it's not too far from the truth. I see 1 striker in like 50 battles since the Gauss release. Before it was like 1 every 3-4 battles. Gauss, I see 1+ in every battle, and the majority of them do so well in battles. And you still haven't answered my question.
-
I really don't get why people think that being forced to drop the flag or ball but not dying at the same time is more annoying than being forced to drop them because you died. I would think it's the other way around.
-
That's because the release of Gauss turned striker from a somewhat viable turret to yesteryear's news. And there's still the looming question: Why the Hell do we need gauss in the game?

I would rather have my ridiculous buffs added to hunter: ·<10 metres- flags, balls, and points becomes electrified for 3 minutes killing any enemy that touches them. · 10-15 metres - zap kills enemies instantly. · 15-20 metres - zap damages enemies. · 20-25 metres - current effects. ? -
Challenges, Gauss turret, Hyperion drone, Seige mode. Do you know the one thing all of these have in common? You're forgetting the fact that shaft has to be immobile while sniping whereas Gauss is a mobile sniper. Let's look at one mess that the release of Gauss caused. Striker in its stock form was finally starting to become a decent turret to use. And then Gauss came and all the striker players flocked to Gauss. And now their striker is collecting dust while Gauss is always being used.
-
1) oh I know what you wrote and took it into consideration. But I don't think it's as bad as you're make it sound. 2) well what did you want me to call them? The pretty pink pony hunters? 3) pro hunters charge when they need to. 4) again that is a problem with the crap fest that's known as ASL. Hunter and mammoth (defending), wasp, Gauss, Viking, and hornet just makes it more obvious. 5) sometimes you just can't win every encounter. Hunter is supposed to win here. fixed. this is a problem with ASL, not hunter. Just keep your distance if you can go faster than it.
