The thunder m1 alteration's description is inaccurate. It says:"removes self damage and splash damage", so i buy it in order to avoid wasting armors and repairs in parkour. Turns out that besides removing damage, the splash impact is also gone, so it can't even parkour... I got tricked of 25k, because of a lacking description, but I'm not expecting my money back even though I feel that would be completely justified. edit: And no, the text: "replaces explosive shells with armor piercing ammo" does not imply that the impact is gone. There is literally a description on hunter that it can emit electro magnetic impulses... It's fairly established that the written descriptions are what they are, I mean it's not like the shells actually pierce armor better or something. The removal of splash should be added to the + and - list, which describes the accurate changes to the turret.

on the second thought, maybe participating in the star hunt isn't that good of an idea.

I'm trying to make a plan for my lieutenant colonel account primalpowers. Is the m2 fire module helpful? Fire is currently the only turret that completely wrecks me and i still have 1 module slot to fill. I've been thinking about buying a bunch of m2s; shaft, thunder, hornet, freeze and maybe rail for xp and isida for playing w/friends. (nothing too powerful ik, but my current combo (hunter/hammer+alt) is a beast so I'm only looking for variety... and yes I'd upgrade hornet alot, I'm aware that it's garbage at m2 on these ranks) I'd like to skip over buying an m3 kit and just upgrade those m2s since ranking is really slow for me during studies and I'd love having new gameplay options. Would I do fine with a 10/10 m2 combo until marshal? Lastly: alterations for the turrets. Is the freeze m1 alteration any better than standard? Also the same question about shaft alterations.

Tanker's Day 2018 [September 8 - September 17]

Good discounts, good funds, excellent paints, new xt, containers for a reasonable amount of playing... Now this is how you make players happy :) -
Works the same way on hulls and all other mus, the ratios are simply base on the fact that speed-ups always cost 200% of the steps. Btw i highly recommend the wiki calculator for any mu planning.

Oh yeah.. scripts. So I learned about data scraping and can now easily record all info i wanted from the ratings page. Currently working on getting the crazy weekernd lists converted to url links to a page from which I'll be able to scrape them with mi program. Anyways I'll add the ratings data to the main post.

I pasted all of the dream tank winner candidates from last crazy weekend into wordCounter to find out the ultimate tanki name. xxxiii_9l.MasterKing.Ha_iiixxx?

I'll try to push the project forward asap, however, uni is slowing me down atm. I was thinking of collecting rating data. For example finding out most used turrets and hulls and such. The data is however not easy to access in quantities. Tanki uses Yandex.metrica to store it and it is not accessible for a peasant. You only get what you see with that ratings page. What i think would be extremely cool, would be to try making a, let's say month long community effort to bring atleast the data of 1000 of the most active players to a public spreadsheet, The names of these players could be gotten from a crazy weekend spreadsheet here. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gswBIxGTYXlb7AbpBh5jToGYRujInGrzD_WHDGGNKZc/edit#gid=0. Or just from the rotating names on the main rating page. I have no idea if others find this a bit as compelling as i do. I personally think it would be beautiful to have basically charted out the tanki meta. :D Is it an idea? Idk you tell me. I personally love the article, but I'd really like to pull out some novel and unique data. Then again I tried to contact LittleWillie, the maker of the container project, but he seems to have left for a while. So idk, maybe I could also steal his container data for statistics of my own. :P So maybe I'll end up trying using older ideas in the end. I am also accessing ru-forums for the 1st time to find some inspiration while doing mapmaking I found this; https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QCVDsUIGMMmsv3zXBQEI6Vcl4niHRzvy1aMWvFPB8nc/edit?usp=sharing it's all sort of map-related numbers, but again pretty useless for most people. The most recent idea I had was to try measuring how the weight, power, impact force and recoil mechanics work in numbers. With this, you could technically calculate the most optimal parkour jumps/climbs. I'll try to get at least this done, although it still needs some more in-game experimentation. But at least this, I will figure out due time.

You're right about the roads and there are definetly definitely other improvements to be made. As for the file, you can PM me a gmail to send it to. Also Thx for the compliment Chaos, I'm too noob to quote posts from different pages

Experimenting with mapmaking tools this week.

Can't stand seeing mags in noise. I love playing the blue team, but blue magnum simply can't be as effective as a red one; you need to charge to fire, the visibility is much more limited and the red team usually has better space control, which means the team isn't packed in bunches. Tbh I have no idea how to solve this since it's a part of the map geometry, just had to vent it out, since it has nulled my liking for what used to be 1 of my favorite maps.

As someone who bought pitbull, the only real reasons to go for it over firewall are: 1.if you love doing hammer jumps in parkour 2.if the rotation is more convenient 3.if you just have to have the ability to flip and throw tanks around Unless all those qualifiers are filled, firewall is just overall the deal to go with. Firewall is better priced and more efficient thanks to the mass damage, burn effect and generally higher potential damage. The fire protection is infinetly more useful than the hammer one in the current state of the game. Also with pitbull, you really do want to have the alteration, so that's atleast +50k to the already overpriced product.

A lot of people undervalue striker because m2-4 hulls are fast and make locking down or simply landing shots really difficult. At m1 ranks, it is completely viable and offers really interesting gameplay. Biggest problems are within landing shots in rapid succession thanks to the non-existing autoaim, the shots altering from one side of the turret to another and the general troubles of projectiles. Finding favourable placement on the map can also be a struggle since pretty much anything will squash you at close quarters and shaft or rail will beat you at long range easily. After mastering those things you'll do great in battles, but if you haven't plaid striker before chances are that when you get a feel for it you are already past m1 ranks.

My speedrun to Major is over ^_^ Some pics I took along the way

Starting to get Autumn feels a month early. Impatient for the beautiful gloomy atmosphere after this overly long and heated summer.

Could you at least try to make it look less ridiculous? I can't see anyone being compelled to support this test to increase the value of containers.

Fair enough. I did mention the gun being more effective in hit-and-runs for this reason, But I personally think smoky isn't the gun to go with if you wanna play that way since you'll pretty be a thunder without splash, range and with worse damage. And when it comes to long faceoffs or just talking about the guns overall potential, the detail really makes no difference.
-
Yes, things like survivability, range and the space you have to manuever on are to be taken into account. Rico has huge potential on maps where reloading can be done safely, since it's extremely fast, inescapable and distruptive when it's charged.the graph merely shows that the gun will choke when it has to last an encounter longer than the full energy pool.

The "average splash damage" actually only works on 1m radius, the title is just misleading, only a shot 1m away will deal 90% damage. After that the decrease to 25% seems pretty linear in my testing. Ofc i can't exactly know what tanki uses for this calculation, but because you asked me to "show" i made this abomination, y= damage/ 100 x= distance. https://www.desmos.com/calculator/7wgsjvccbd

Don't focus on the red team, try to find Waldo :D
