Was that Iran? BrittleWillie caught a gold yesterday and WhittleWillie got one on Rio 2-3 days ago. Which is a 'gold rush' for me, lol. LittleSkillers? No that is not my account. Mine are L-, BR-, WH-, and SK-ittleWillie. ... Smokey, Isida, Vulcan, Striker. Good gaming to ya!

Yes agreed 100%. I realized this when my LittleWillie account reached Colonel or Brigadier.I had my core itemsd MU'ed up so at last was starting to get some extra income and a lonnnng way to m3 unlocks. So I started buying modules to screen against all 13 turrets. I applied that lesson to my lower-ranked accounts. I bought a dozen or so modules on the year-end/new year sales and have been MUing everything up in parallel. Old school players told me over an over I would be crushed during these ranks because I did not buy an m3 kit at MajGen. But what happened is my k/d has gone up during this time because I can deploy large protections against whatever turns out to be the most aggressive threat in any game. I'm still 40k exp from Marshal but I already have 4 m3 modules at 43-47% plus the Spider module at 48%. m2 Hull, turret and two more modules at full MU awaiting free trade-in at Marshal and plenty of moolah to MU them when I hit Marshal. (Over 30 un-opened Containers and counting.) April Fools boxes up to 25k. 3-4 recent events with Black Box containers dropping. I did not say EVERY event had upscale GB drops I said several did. I do not expect lavish rewards each and every single event. No it is not. See above for an example. My other accounts are in even better shape than LittleWillie. I do not buy. I have thousands and thousands of supplies in stock. Your example is not 'pay to win' It is pay to play all day. TO gives players enough resource to play an avvount for 2-3 hours / day for free. If you want to play 10-12 hours a day it seems reasonable to me to pay the company something for all that entertainment time. But it not required, nor does playing 10 hours / day mean the same thing as playing competitively. TO has many many flaws but in the 'pay to win' department TO offers the free player a SUPERB situation.

"This game is pay to win" ... No it isn't not even close. Hint: Do missions problems solved the end. So your idea of fun is to play a game but not actually play just sit warming your thumb. Further evidence the human race is bottom line insane. In general I MU the first 5 steps at normal cost then the rest on sale. The savings from the low end of the MU scale is not worth the time to wait for a sale. For m3 modules you can actually do a 2-3 more steps at full cost if you are flush. I haven't hit Marshal yet so I've not yet MU'ed an m3 turret or hull (20 steps) so I am not sure at what point I'll stop for sales only.

Actually they probably took the code they had for the Wasp OD bomb and used it for the meteor. So now you know what the Wasp OD will do just not how it is triggered. I hope though TO has reconsidered this and is scrapping the entire idea for hull-specific ODs. That Wsp OD is so lame compared to the one i use now. I can use a mine to shake off pursuit - when pursued. TO acts like Wasp do nothing but lead enemy tanks around on tank parades. They can salvage some of their work by using the code for something else like the meteors.

Whaddya know? I see a Striker kit in the garage today. "Justice" m3 Striker, Hunter, Lion F (Rico, Twins, Striker) module, Red Urban paint, 40% discount. First time I've seen a Striker kit in the Garage not just the Shop. Not that I am going to buy it. My Colonel WhittleWilie already has m2_10/10 Striker, Hornet, the same Lion F module. Actually had all that at m3-equivalent at Lt Col ... 4 ranks before the kit can be bought. Kits are obsolete for upgrades.Good (perhaps) if you want to change hulls/turrets.

When you look for something you will see it everywhere. This smacks of perception bias. LOL. This is a crack at me. k/d is a meaningless stat. Yet here you are assigning meaning to it. Flag attackers get kiled all the time. Fat Shafts that never move have sky-high k/ds. And so on. (Say ... it's nice a cozy here under your skin. B) )
-
Well I'm running out of stuff to upgrade. My Isida account has every single thing it owns at full MU. I might buy the healing bot alt just to have it. These are the sort of problems you want to have. :) Viking4s you ARE the Calendar Man. :) Containers and bigger GB drop have happened on many events. So ... no. Every sales draws whiners out of the woodwork eh? (e.g. above)

Yikes. Even though I read Plato in college (well skimmed might be more apt) I had to research this one. I paid closer attention to the segment on John Stuart Mills. Well in any case emulating Plato is likely beyond my ken. :p

People tell me Smoky is now weak but I have fun using it so I play it. People here tell me I am insane for using Vulcan on a Wasp, but it is fun so I play it. People say Isida is OP but it is fun so I play it. People say Shaft is OP but it is not as much fun for me as Smoky so I rarely use it. Striker has a long learning curve and it gets very annoying to shoot over Vikings but ... you guessed tight ... it's fun so I use it. (My k/d has sat at 1.78 for months every time I've looked. 1.78 is hardly ineffective. In fact that is the highest k/d among all the Willies.)

I hear you on the horseradish. That and Brussels sprouts send my throat into Gandalf mode: You shall not pass! Yeah you are actually. If can do my missions with arbitrary battle lengths of 15 minutes I will do them under the arbitrary limit of 10 minutes. As for 'preachy' we have both been seen to wear the clerical collar here. But I would not apply preachy to myself. I apply arrogant, acerbic, and bass-whole to myself, but not preachy. That happens now in 15 minute battles. After thousands of hours play time it is clear quite soon when a team is full of passive camper types, tunnel vision types, etc. When you are osuch a team you leave. Does not matter is the game is 5 minutes or 50 minutes such a team is going to lose 95% of the time. Mystery Science Theatre is al about the joy of watching bad films. :) And as a Yank I know just enough about the FA to feel you on the Arsenal crack. :) The maximum award now is 8400 Cry. The new maximum is 8400. Again Riddler asks more more more more gimme gimme gimme for no logical reason. IMO teams that try to win by 100% defense with a 1 or 2 flag lead usually fail. Teams that give up aggressive play allow the other team to get to all the on-map drops and hold the overlook points. Of course this depends on team mix. Attacker w/o Isidas have little chance against dug-in defender with Isidas, for example. Sure. Do't you remember G.F. explaining how he and every one of his Russian pals get 100 kills in every single DM match they play? 4 or 5 battles to pick up 1 to 5 RKs or 3 to 10 other types? SMH Just play the game and you'll get the boxes. Or if they are that hard change out of them/ You need do only 1 mission day after all. You know what most players are doing among a player base of over 50,000? No, actually you just speak for yourself not 50,000 others. It will take the same number of minutes to do your missions. The number of battles is not the important number. You get your Cry payout 5 minutes sooner so sometimes you will indeed find it easier. Other times you will have to play 2, 10 minute bouts instead of 1, 15 minute battle. For larger Cry goals you'll probably play the same number of minutes split into differing numbers of game. Long term this will probably be a wash in terms of minutes played / mission completed. --- I do not know why TO wants 10 minute battle for the MM system instead of 15 minutes. But it is not the end of the world --- nor is it something that cannot be undone if it rally turn out to be significantly worse. 10 and 15 are both arbitrary lengths.

A non-buyer can have the very best gear and 3 or 5 digit stockpiles of drugs. Once your gear is at its max and you have supplies in stock it is IMPOSSIBLE to buy an advantage over that. I will say this again since math skills are virtually non-existent on this forum It is I M P O S S I B L E to buy better gear than the maximum allowed. It is I M P O S S I B L E to use more drugs / minute than the next guy even if you own 1,000,000 more of each type than that next guy. So no, this does not widen the gap between buyer and non-buyer it narrows it. Again, non-existant math skill. You're trying real hard to turn what might be a ~5% difference not night and day. The difference between 10 and 15 minute battles is negligible. Pretzel logic. The player who plays everyday will have more MU steps for his rank than the player who plays casually. You can pretzel logic all you want but MU 10/10 is an advantage over MU 3/10. If a daily player cannot beat someone who plays a few time per month the problem exists with the daily player not his gear. Full stop. I never pick a map because I think the battle fund will be high or low. I pick a map that has the battle mode I need, a competitive game, and an open slot for me. I get 80% of my income from outside the battle fund. There are maps I avoid but that is because they are just shooting barrels for Magums and / or Shafts. I play to have a fun game. Income and garage development is easy on TO. Only chumps grind for exp and Cry instead of playing for fun. If players have FUN on a map they will CHOSE that map. If not they won't And when MM comes in no one will be picking maps in basic battle anyway.
-
You disproved yourself already. The steady player will be able to MU his gear every sale ... the 1-2 days / week payer will not. I will have MU 10/10, 15/15, or 20/20 the other guy will not. This is called "advantage". And if we are talking "reality" the gap between even m3 and full m4 is not that massive. I play against m3 20/20 with my m2_10/10 all the time. Skill is more important than a few % points. A lot of work by a lot of people is being put into inventing reason to whine on this topic. Players will get more, yet they still find a way to whine.
-
My prices come right from Wiki. 456k to do 20 MU steps ... plus twice that for speed-ups. But yes if a sale happens soon enough you can reduce this to about a half-million (for turret only) But that leaves the hull and modlule at straight m3 which is not near the same advantage. So that's another mill to up these two items. And no non-buyer has that sort of cash lying around at LtGen. Far better IMO to forget about kits. Just MU to the max and trade up for 0 Cry when you reach the unlock rank. The ranks between Brig and Gen are teh time to buy and MU a full-spectrum module defense.

If you do not use Supplies that is not called "unfair" that is called "You are not good at playing TO". Doing missions will give you more Supplies than you can use. Why stop at not using Supplies? Why not refuse to use protection modles too? Or why not refuse to use anything but m0 hulls and turrets? Supplies, modules, upgrades are all core elements to this game. If you do not use them you are just playing poorly. Period. And starting with week 13 and every week afterwards you will have MORE than you would have now. Time will pass no matter what. Christ Almighty does anyone playing this game know how to do 4-function math? If I earn 150 Cry in a 15 minute battle or 100 Cry in a 10 minute battle my income over time played remains the same. Jesus H. Christ. I wouldn't know. I never spend more than 2 minutes on a weak team now. This post takes First Place. There is nothing wrong with pick up box missions. It is nice to have the chance to get a relatively short mission. I play thuis game daily too and I see players doing nothing but box-camping about ... never. I do see people get an RK when at 100% or a DD with DD already up but these tanks are also fighting. So this is a mountain being made ofa molehill. There are already "Destroy ## tank" missions. Actually the change to 10 minute battles will not affect my income one bit as anyone who can add and divide can see. I am a 100% free to play player and this change will do nothing but increase my income. And I already have the best stuff I can buy. The only thing buyers can do that I cannot is they do not have to wait for MU sales. The short temporary dip in weekly chain rewards between New week 4 and New Week 10 is of very little concern. It will still be vastly more income than daily players got just one year ago. It just not worth a single worry.
-
It is a pretty simple concept. You can earn 50 or 100 Cry in 10 minutes. You can pick up an RK or two 10 is less than 15. OTOH sometimes you will have toi play another battle... but that is a 10 minute add not 15. Overall the time to do missions will probably not be affected too much. Yes I am sure these mid-rank players will be crushed when they see they are making 9,000 more Cry / week. [eye roll] That's the rough value of +1 container. If 6 weeks is "forever" then yes you are right. I have more fun when I am playing for a mission so I guess we cancel each other out. What is "un-fun" about doing missions? "Earn exp", "get boxes" ... in playing the game I do those things anyway ... what is the difference. Missions do not say "Eat a pile of spoiled horseradish". Yes the current system is MUCH more encouraging. In the current system after 10 weeks you get nothing extra. It is going to SUCK getting 9,000 more Cry / week. Also 2+2 = gopher. Getting it "faster" means getting ore income / day. If you do not see that is an advantage it is time for remedial math. Go ahead. Change your missions all week instead of doing them You get 0 income for the week, I get about 30k ... you call that an "exploit"? Exploit away. You'll be poor in-game and I will be rich. Let's get real. If anyone does daily missions then they will be able to afford the best hull turret and modules for their rank all MU ed up to the max. They will have more supplies than they can use. Any equipment advantage is negligible. What does matter is playing skill. And here the player who plays daily will have sharp instincts and relexes. The m,ore causal player will be a tad less honed. There's your real advantage.
-
The only way to do ths is to 1 - Buy a Kit in the 400k range 2 - Pay 456k for 20 MU steps 3 - Pay 912l for speed up to get around the 94 days of waiting Not many players have 1.77 MILLION Crystals when they hit LtGen.
-
It used to take awhile to build up drug stocks at lower levels but not any more with containers made part of the weekly bonus. At low level the containers change MASSIVLY increases supply income. Containers also award more RKs proportional to the other supplies than the other income sources. There is now no reaon any player does not have ample supplies in every game they lay. Unless they play like 8 hours a day 7 days a week on one account.

Word! Small beer. The amount lost will amount to bupkis in the short run.. In the long run you'll earn more than you do now. That happens now yet I complete missions. And I'll complete mission in 10 minute battles. I did not know you were such a staunch opponent to change in the TO status quo. :P

I've never played WoT so I cannot remark on that game. But TO is no where near a 'pay to win' game. Player income has been boosted greatly over the last year, and, it wasn't 'pay to win' before they did so. As things are now, any player who cannot earn enough to buy the very best TO equipment can see the real problem by looking at a mirror. TO deserves many criticisms but 'pay to win' in not one of them.

This apocalypse isn't theory. If you are in your 30s or younger you'll most likely die in the upcoming worldwide famines / global existential wars that will kill off billions of humans. It is just a matter of time before the food chain fails in the wake of climate change. At that point civilization effectively ends. So to answer this question ... what are you doing today?
-
I am not going to quote a whole bunch more of the doom and glom postings because they all can be summarized thusly: "I am have thought of a convoluted reason why players will not play TO because this change will increase player income. Therefore the vast majority of players will also think up this convoluted reasoning and quit playing." To which I reply: "No, only YOU will arrive at that mental destination. You are welcome to make odd predictions but please don't try to make then sound valid by claiming the majority supports you."

I can assure you that hitting a hunter in the corner will throw off its aim regardless of Hunter's turning speed. Throwing off aim is a timing issue.

Physical size is different too. Small hulls have routes and perches larger hulls cannot reach. Conversely bigger hulls are easier to see and hit. I cannot make myself play Dictator because a 12' tall tank is soooo easy to see and shoot. Acceleration is also different but rarely discussed. Viking is not only the fastest medium hull it also accelerates best. This is needed for dancing with the enemy at close ranges. Now in defense of Dictator it is a hard hull to disrupt with impact force. I use the +impact smoky and even so the damn dictators often just absorb them like lumps. Titan weigh more but even they can be skewed more than Dictators by shooting at corners.
-
You needn't worry about the effect of getting 9 containers per week because the Vlog clearly stated the maximum is 4 containers per week. So the net effect of this will be to add +1 container per week to the rewards people get right now. IOW the effect will be quite minimal. This thread is now concluded.

You can do whatever you please. But you claimed that not doing a mission some days is somehow going to damage the game. That is pure nonsense. Explain how I CAN finish missions in 30 minutes of game-play when it is divided into two 15-minute games, but I will NOT be able to do mission in 30 minutes of game=play if it is divided into 3 10-minute games. I am not "relying" upon 10 minute games to address the blowout issue. I am saying I do not see the inherent merit to 15 minute games considering in 90% of the time the winner is obvious in the first 2-3 minutes. In the current system you would play the same number of week but NOT get the 4th container. Yet people find a way to whine about getting more. They promote gambling. LOL
