HMmmm Aunty's 2 cents worth, My initial impression was first that they are to large. They swamp the text they're meant to be associated with. Secondly that they look like someones grade 3 drawings. They certainly don't look modern to me, and they certainly don't seem to be terribly representitive of particular turret. I think you'd be better served with icons more similar to the older ones, even if you still want to change them all, and decrease the size to fit with the text it belongs to. The ability to see the flag carrier ought to be removed in CTF... being able to sneak incognito is important especially for light hulls. Love, Aunty

Well it still looks but ugly, and complicated. If you choose to use the battle list, then the battle button should still funnel you into a battle, not back to the 20,000 button lobby. Otherwise keep it up, no players to complain at all soon. Aunty Been saying this for a while.. doesn't seem to be on the do list though. Once you hit legend at the moment, life as you previously knew it, just stops.

Good luck with that, I haven't seen a decent battle since.... at legend. So no, I'm done. Aunty is in retirement... Only got the 2nd lt still kicking at the moment, and if things don't improve that'll go too. -

Shrug, Aunty is dead in the water now, no missions, they're nigh on impossible. It's hard going at 2nd Lt, so I don't think that will be viable for to much longer either. Somethings got to give somewhere, so far its just users.... when there's not enough to support the game, then they'll change it or close it. -

Stop feeding me back into the same battle I just left, you think I left because I like it? Be prepared to open a few extra battles before shovelling people back into bodgy battles for the second time... narrow the ranks down a bit too. I so much want to rant and rave right now.... I believe the ping time is pertinent, but the FPS is not. Ping time is going to affect all players in the same battle to some extent, whereas the FPS is only going to be about an individuals playability. Ping times can fluctuate wildly too, at present the game presents a current ping time, with some unknown amount of delay in it. Size of map and number of players and server load will influence it from the server end, the users hardware is probably the next biggest determining factor. Some of us are back at 3g phones for data, which is dependent on the phone network for bandwidth and if they're busy it gets slow, the same will happen to adsl or dsl as well but to a lesser extent as the pipe size is much larger in the first place. Onto FPS I don't see any reason a computer from probably the last 10years couldn't play tanki with a minimum of stress. The biggest factor would be video, and thats going to depend on the resolution you're running and the size of the picture you insist on looking at. I've successfully played with some very ordinary hardware, onboard shared memory graphics even, no real GPU... it will play fairly happily. So theres going to be other reasons for people having FPS problems. Either turn the total system resolution down, just because you can run your desktop at 1280x1024, doesn't mean its not going to operate better at 1024x768 without a massive change in appearance. Or decrease the picture inside tanki, the smaller you make it, the more you reduce the data crunching to get it up in speed.

TO be honest having gone away and thought about it, I still HATE this update with a passion, as it stands, I'm still in position where make like a tree is still my first thought. BUT and I hate that there is always a but... I thought I better sat what I don't like. * Battles are so chock o' block its like dodgem cars * Ranks are screwed again, but that just be meeting legends that are older. * Nigh on impossible to get any mission done because the maps are so full. * Old system allowed you get go hunting for an empty server, find a map that suited, and wait for people to arrive, you could start with a decent battle, which would gradually go pear shaped as the numbnuts arrived. Now every battle is full of numbnuts from woe to go. * Sure I can still create a battle, but that doesn't help my missions. Missions were one of the few things to keep me playing. * Looks like a very low choice of maps available for regular battle. * High churn again as people leave battles they've been dropped into. There we go... Aunty

Whats the big idea here? Force everyone to play packed, crappy battles with numbnuts falling all over each other? Sorry guys, you've reached my point of no return. Sigh... well, I guess like a lot of devs, they decide if we make it, they will use it. Aunty's now officially into semi retirement. This, combined with the truly horrible battles at legend... I cannot put into words just how important this is. Is there any movement at all on any of these requests? As much as they may be deemed unimportant by devs, they are now absolutely mission critical. They cannot be that difficult to deploy, most of the framework would be there, just a matter of applying it. So, is there any action whatsoever or does Aunty have to retire? Regards, Aunty -

I'm guessing one of the reasons it went by the wayside last time, is it looks like it would require significant server side processing, increasing your overall serverload. I'm not against the idea... just looking at it objectively. It's probably easier to limit people to 2-3 pauses per battle. That way it looks more like a supply to the system which is probably an easier check. If you need more than 2-3 pauses in a battle I think something is seriously wrong, even battles that go for over an hour. Aunty -=- When in doubt remember KISS - Keep it simple stupid -=- :) -

I am near constantly frustrated by creating a battle, and having it turn into a heavy handed slugging match between heavy hulls and long distance constant fire weapons. Worst of all when you start a battle, all looks well and then it gets hijacked half way through. You go from a tough arm wrestle, to a one sided mess. I'd like to see a battle format that allows no hull heavier than dictator. and no magnum/vulcan/freeze/shaft/twins allowed. I know from the battles I take part in I'm not the only one frustrated in this regard, although I don't know how widespread support for this idea will be. So far all I can do is, if its early in the battle just leave it, and I do that frequently :( Followed by hoping we're far enough in front to be able to cope with this monstrosity on the other team, or with a team consensus just have everybody pause, and let them take the flags, finish the battle and take whatever crystals we can salvage at the end. Neither of which are ideal, but are somewhat effective. Aunty -
The only problem I can see with this, is when they do world cup events and similar they use country flags now. Maybe not one for every country but you get the idea.

I just had a thought for flow... at the moment its a band that oddly enough flows apparently from the top or centre of the tank outwards. It might work better if it was more like a band that worked from front to back.... I don't think it would tend to lose the animation quite as fast as flow, because you can make it bigger and then the distance is less of a factor on it. Aunty

What would also be NICE would be a UTC to local time converter. Its not that we don't understand timezones but some are a head breaker trying to convert for Day let alone figure the hour. Somewhere you could bang in the event time and day, set the + or - and have your local day/time pop out the other end. (this might be a seperate idea) but the link could be next to the clock :) Aunty.
