Because you dont buy something based on how powerful it is at any given rank, but on how you like it's playstyle. BTW I consider Rico M2 better than Freeze m2 on any map bigger than Polygon.

Twins M1 is a match for Freeze M2, providing the map isn't like Island or something. And I'm not going to even mention Isida. :D

Look, I'm not going to pretend it's a strong M2. But unlocking early has it's advantages (like when I introduce Freeze M2 to M0s) :lol:. Skill does a lot but the skilled player with better equipment will win against the skilled player with worse equipment....which is why you need to use the crystals you saved by buying a cheap M2 (Rico) and use it to MU it.

I do not have an account with M2 Rico but I've seen it in battle. It is on the weaker side in comparison to other M2s but that gives you an advantage as it unlocks earlier so you can fight against weaker opponents. Many M2 Ricochet players I see reach top of scoreboard w/o drugging. And usually by the rank the latest M2s unlock (Colonel) it's MU'd quite a bit.

Not that much more...the price difference between stock Rico and Stock Smoky is sizeable...plus you get a greater profit as you can still play with m1 and even m0 hulls.

Rico M2 16/50 is about equal to stock Smoky M2 I would say.

No,no, no, and no. Those are completely different things. I posted an explanation somewhere, I'll try to copy/paste it, as I don't want to write it all again. Edit: Also, the decision to nerf a turret/hull is partly based on it's popularity. This is completely inaccurate for two reasons: 1. Most F2P players under Legend rank only have 1 or 2 turrets and 1 or 2 hulls. So if their turret is nerfed, they are forced to still use this turret. This gives Tanki a false impression that the turret is still balanced. 2. Some turrets/hulls, based purely on their playstyle, appeal to a larger portion of players. For example, hornet tends to be popular at the mid ranks not because Hornet M2 is strong, but because many players like being "fast" and "clever" and "strategic", as opposed to using a Titan. I would use hornet or wasp even if it was nerfed again, but this doesn't mean I think it's balanced, I just like the playstyle. Balanced usage of all hulls and turrets is NOT GAME BALANCE: Because more people use a certain piece of equipment doesn't mean it's stronger than the others.

By that time you could have MU'd it a bit using the profit you made with an m2 turret.

As I said before, you will not find a Cologne DM. Just find a DM on any map and complete your DM mission. Then find a Cologne with any Gamemode and complete your Cologne mission. If you can only play for 15 minutes (one default battle) you only need one mission a day to get the mission chain anyway. :)

But it unlocks rather early so you will still be fighting M1s for a while.

You don't need to create one, just join it. I have seen a bunch of Cologne battles and a bunch of DMs.

I extensively tested it on the testservers and the alteration wasn't that strong. I found it quite balanced. It's only OP in small maps but that's the way it should be and it stands to reason. But the stock firebird is a joke. There is almost no afterburn, only the visual dark-red effect misleading people. If you look at the damage counters and divide them by ten (I still think in terms of old hull stats) You will see that it's really not doing much each second. Before yesterday it had the damage at least going for it but now it doesn't even have that. Firebird needs to be buffed one way or another.

Just join the battle the way you joined it a month ago.

Don't Micro-Upgrade your M1s. Rico m2 unlocks early and if you get it in a kit you will not have to wait long. Unless you don't like Rico I wouldn't invest in a new turret as Rico is good on any map. Ricochet is good at higher levels but it won't dominate much.

Just Select a DM battle or a Cologne battle the old way. :) It's highly unlikely that you will find a Cologne DM.

What you said doesn't matter at all. The fact is the the balance is bad, and could EASILY be made better, and Tanki could EASILY make money in other ways. Everyone knows that F2P games have to make money some way or another. That doesn't mean they all do it with equal quality and ingenuity. And like RustyNail said, there should be an element of fair-play even in online games where the object is to destroy the enemy.
