Terrible computer can cause client side lag, or FpS lag, which fall under the same category, because they make the game hard to play or impossible, so, I think it deserves its spot.

Lag and its many names
GunslingerMongoose replied to GunslingerMongoose in Lag and its many names Archive
Everyone deals with lag, and there are many reasons for it. I want to hear about your lag, funny moments involving lag, and everything in between! :) -
I'd say around a 4. I'm supposedly underweight for my BMI (I'm 5' 5" at 105lbs) I'm not found of going out an exercising but I play sports sometimes :)

My nickname means that I'm a fast shootist. Little did I know that Gunslinger is an M1 XP Kit and mongooses are mean little animals, so I'm a mean animalistic M1 XP Kit if looked at literally :D

When your M4 Vulcan magically disappears from your garage: You: Mom, where's my minigun!! Mother: EXCUSE ME?! DID YOU SAY YOUR MINIGUN?! You: I'm not kidding it was M4 and really expensive and and and... WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Mother: I think it's time I take you to a psychologist, son...

Hey, just a slight bug to be mentioned involving turrets. There are occasions where if I'm destroyed during battle while rotating my turret, and then I proceed to type, my turret start rotating in circles by itself. This is an easily fixable bug on the player's part, simply press the turret rotation keys in the direction that the turret is rotating :) It also happens to mouse control use, dying, and switching to keyboard while respawning. My Browser is Mozilla Firefox, I use Windows 7, on Wifi or wired ethernet, and I play on the EN server. Thanks!

category Ideas for Hulls and Overdrives!

True dat, very true. But, if it were going to be a kind of snake, it would almost certainly need to be a viper, because XT Vulcan/Mammoth are supposed to be a rattlesnake, because Vulcan sounds like a subdued rattle and Mammoth moves slowly, like the cautious movement of a snake. But for a viper, if the shells were green, we could make it a poison green, something very subtle but still pops when you see it. Maybe a neon version of the text links in the forums and wiki? -

Green shells, oh my. That would be truly something to behold! But, then again... How does green correspond to rhinos....? Because I think that's part of the XT color schemes. The color needs to correspond. If you look at XT Fire, the flames are a very bright white tinged with hints of orange, blue, and red, because it's a dragon. XT Railgun has white ammo, which is also the color of an eagle's more notable plumage. XT Thunder is kinda in an off spot, because it's a polar bear, and polar bears don't make things explode lol.. -

Yes, for the Hammer, I was thinking it looked a little boarish, so perhaps we model the Hammer after a boar, and Shaft after a a rhino, as you said. But then, the issue arises of what the special shell color will be, because all the XTs except Vulcan have special colors. Perhaps a very prominent gold color for the shells? Or maybe we go and we could do something out of the box by making Shaft ammo blue for the XT, or somewhere on the blue spectrum. -
You're dumb, it's called an M3 Shaft protection module, and they are the bane of the earth. Chances are he also had Double Armored drugged, so it's not a bug/glitch, it's just someone really afraid of Shaft.

Here's a new idea for a turret, this one is gonna sound OP most of the way through, so if you're salty, don't read this. Turret name: Burst Rifle Function: Fires 3 rounds of hardened, steel-tipped ammunition in rapid succession at a target. Each round has a low amount of penetration power, allowing them to go through multiple hulls at higher modifications. Stats (M0) Damage per round: 250-400 Penetration power per round: 30% (30% damage transference to next damaged hull) Impact force per round: 120 Reload: 6 seconds Range: 150 meters Damage at max range (%): 20% damage at and over maximum range Rotation speed: 95 deg/sec This turret sound overpowered, yes, but at the rank it unlocks at (Staff Sergeant, the rank at which your first M1 unlocks) many people will have weapons to effectively counter it due to the long reload and somewhat high recoil, which can flip Wasp and Hornet if you're not careful. The damage on this turret is significantly higher than that of Thunder, and at 3 rounds per burst, is enough to kill most hulls short of a heavy hull. However, the recoil is not measured per burst, but rather per round exiting the barrel, or in other words, it is 3 times the normal recoil. This is like this to ensure a somewhat balanced turret, as it will be extremely inaccurate and will have very few shots actually land on target. This weapon does not have a scope, and due to the rotation speed being a little fast, it is hard to aim already. Light hulls using this turret will almost certainly flip, and if they don't flip, they will be seriously unstable and left vulnerable to attack. That is why I would recommend the use of a medium hull with this turret, to dampen the recoil and improve accuracy. This turret has the unique effect of penetration, but this isn't new to anyone who uses railgun. This turret also has a very low auto aim angle, barely a few degrees higher and lower than Railgun. The bane of this turret is Shafts and short range weapons, like Firebird, Freeze, and Isida, due to the long reload. If you like this, tell me. If you have any suggestions, I'll do my best and look into them. Feedback is appreciated, especially positive and constructive feedback. Thanks!

Mmhm, but what weapon to pair with it? We have XT Railgun/Hornet, XT Vulcan/Mammoth, XT Firebird/Wasp, and XT Thunder/Viking. If we were to make an XT Dictator, what weapon would we pair with it to make a set, and what would the theme be? An XT Hammer with a rhino skin would be pretty cool, so perhaps we can use XT Hammer/Dictator that has a rhino skin. -

Idea for a light category hull. Name: Dragonfly Stats (M0) Armor: 700~ Top Speed: 9.25~ (m/sec) Lateral Acceleration: 10.7~ (m/sec2) Turning Speed: 110~ (deg/sec) Turning Acceleration: 120~ (deg/sec2) Anti-Inertial Turning Acceleration: 285~ (deg/sec2) Weight: 1300 kilograms Power: 900 horsepower Reverse Acceleration: 12.5~ (m/sec2) Price: 400 crystals Unlock Rank: Corporal Inspiration/Description The Inspiration for this hull came from the natural predator of most species of bees, the Dragonfly. Due to both light hulls in game being named after a species of bee, I decided it only fitting that a natural predator be introduced to reduce the population. This hull is also supposed to be the mid-class light hull, still offering good speed and maneuverability as Hornet or Wasp, but falling short in most categories from Hornet, but being better than Wasp in most. This hull has the ability to drift, but not at the radical rate that Hornet is able to, making it a slightly easier to handle hull than Hornet for newer players. This hull should look similar in design to a combination of the Hornet and Hunter hulls, being low to the ground and somewhat long, but being wider than Hornet, providing a small stability boost. If anyone wants to make suggestion, I would encourage it. Feedback is appreciated, as long as it is positive and constructive. I hope this idea gets looked at, it would be cool to have. -
Wheeeeeeee, now I have to go deal with Vulcan/Isida trains! Damn it Tanki, have at least 6 inches of foresight with your updates. Vulcan self heating reduction+Boosted Isida damage= Vulcan/Titans and Isida/Hornets being encouraged to pair up with each other more strongly than ever because reduced heating makes the Isida's life easier than ever to camp and heal the Vulcan.... You guys really are dumb and need to think about this. Put a tester in the live servers and watch what he says about Vulcan/Isida trains, excessive use of Rico, Freeze, and Vulcan, the terrible killing power of Isida, the tyranny of Smoky, the useless-ness of Twins, the under powered depression of Thunder, the over powered strength of Hammer, and the spam of Firebird. The hulls are fine however... Also, Tanki, I made an alt so that I could see the kits offered on a regular basis. M1s to a Staff Sergeant? Good going, talk about amazing balance Tanki! Oh btw people, if you guys wanna reset and get M1s earlier, they have all the super powerful ones! M1 Viking/Freeze! M1 Firebird/Wasp! M1 Smoky/Titan! All these available at a rank that you barely just unlocked M0 Shaft and Rico. Tanki, really think about these things. What's more. "Predator" kit! 80K crystals, and not even because the equipment in it is worth a lot of money, M1 Thunder/Hunter combined cost 50k-ish. No, what makes it 80k is the 300k pain they include with the kit! Dude, Tanki, what the hell. Add an option to kit purchases to buy JUST THE EQUIPMENT, and not the useless ass paint. Greedy, people. Seriously, if I'm going to spend 80K in crystals for something like that, I'll just purchase the equipment pieces as separate purchases. I can fill my garage with 4, maybe 5 more M1s, plus the 3 I have, for 80k.

I don't see noobs say noob stuff a lot, but I see things that would make a gizmo want to khs For example, people who can't use their turret while using M2 Railgun/Hornet, and other turretless people using high level gear. People who can't drive 5 meters in M1 Mammoth without druggin double armor, and then they are promptly killed by snipers, and the snipers become "drugger noob". People who can't tell the difference between an enemy player and a team mate and promptly shove afk team mates off the map. People who don't even play the objective of the match and instead whine and complain about everyone else being noobs,. People who intentionally kms to troll teams. For what I see noobs say, most of it tends to be "gold box no kill" or "admin gold box pls", "was gold" etc etc. Most comments that involve the words gold box get me really salty and I do the exact opposite of what the person asks. If they say no kill, I kill them with a vengeance. If they ask for gold I say in chat "No now stfu and don't ask" which either makes them leave or ask more, which I reply the same thing every time, or it makes them stfu and stop asking. I see a lot of people using vulcan/mammoth with an Isida behind them healing them while the vulcan afks, which at that point I promptly erase the Isida with my shaft (because most people these days use Hornet or Wasp with Isida, when they use it, making my life easy)... Just the general stuff you deal with at the low-mid ranks. lol.

I play Blitz, so the MK. II has no Howitzer. However, the Covenanter, Crusader, and Cromwell all have the same 3.7 inch Howtizer, which is a pain to use. Besides, I think the 105mm on the T82 paints a better description. Or even the 122mm on the SU-85

+1 for super creative and rather tasty turret XD However, what's the radius for the explosion from the Sugar box?
-
 That's interesting to know.... No arcing, and only an iron sight? Howitzers tend to arc, but now this sounds like a mortar lol

If you've played Artillery in World of Tanks, then you already have a general understanding, because I feel arties are the basis of this turret. From what I see and understand, this turret basically does many things at once but I'll lay them out simply. The turret has a "scope" however not in the sense of rangefinder like Shaft's scope. This "scope" opens a small top-down view of the area being targetted by the Howitzer turret. The turret when, ready to fire, charges the shot, again, similar to Shaft but still not Shaft, and then releases the shot when the target is within the sights. When the shot is fired, the shell has a delay time between firing the shot and the shot actually connecting to a target, similar to World of Tanks. This delay time can vary due to range between the turret and the target. When the shot is fired, the turret's "energy charge" (more similarities to Shaft) begins refilling and priming itself for another shot. This process is repeated many times, giving Tanki Online, for all intents and purposes, an artillery.

So the shells have a similar hitscan to that of Railgun and Vulcan? That's helps being known. It allows people a little bit more breathing space than otherwise with this turret. P.S. If you're not sure what hitscan is, I'd have a hard time explaining but I'll do my best if you ask.

12* meters a second, do your math, is the same as the muzzle velocity of ricochet, or in layman's terms, how fast a ricochet bullet moves. Arming this weapon with a gyroscopic targeting system IS IN FACT the only way to land consistent shots on target, I agree with you. Your other options for aiming could also include, as I said, making use of a heavy, stable hull, such as Titan or Mammoth so that you can weather the recoil. At higher modification, the recoil remains constant due to an algorithm designed exclusively to predict the distance the turret would the hull being used, meaning at M3+, wasp would no longer jump 3-4 meters, but instead anywhere between .5-1 meter, meaning on an M3+ heavy hull recoil becomes nonexistent. Also, I forgot to mention this, but M3+ modification's impact force compared to M3+ railgun is that of a child lightly slapping you. It is in fact lower than M0 Thunder, so you are safe from being flipped in your M1 Hornet.
-
Yes, you're right. However, if this weapon were to function similar to a howitzer in real life, or even World of Tanks for that matter, the ammunition would have to be explosive, therefore granting it the ability to hit light hulls without hitting them with direct shots. This would make for very camper-ish gameplay, especially on maps such as Massacre, Berlin, or all XL and large maps. It would also warrant a fitting counter weapon, something that could easily defeat this weapon and its user.
-
I'll explain the mechanics a little bit better like this: The gun CAN jam but is not always going to jam. The length of time the jam lasts depends on many factors, the foremost of which is which modification the weapon is. M0 jams very frequently and a jam tends to last somewhere between 30 seconds to a minute, whereas M3+ will rarely jam and when it does tends to last anywhere between 5-10 seconds, due to technological advancements in the turret. The recoil is severe yes, but it would be similar in a way to Railgun and Smoky's recoil combined and then slightly lessened, making it jump 3-4 meters, yes, but also allowing time for correction between rounds for the user. If I had my way, I would make it so that this weapon was exclusively for the heaviest hulls (i.e. Mammoth, Titan, Dictator, Viking) as all other hulls would have issues with the recoil. Actually, the reload functions like that of Vulcan, where firing reduces the ammunition, and continuous firing results in jams and other issues. It has no definite ammo count, but it has severe limitations compared to vulcan, due to inability of an Isida to simply heal it to fix heating (part of the reason for jamming compared to self heating, as jamming is an unfixable issue for Isidas vs self heating, where 3 seconds from M0 and you're back in action)

Good point lol. Using Flash, it would float at the weirdest of angles, or just crash the game XD
-
Hermmm..... Trying to think... Normally i see a lot of "Noob" being thrown around, but normally it's bad players calling good players noob, like say some incompetent ***** gets shot by a sniper in the weirdest area, the Shaft that did it is instantly "Hacker noob" etc
