  1. So only Hornet has Hunter beat on range? What about Viking with any turret that has range greater than 22m? Or a Mammoth-Vulcan that sees the Hunter approaching from 70m away. How is Hunter gonna use EMP before it's dead? You completely ignore the range of the weapons mounted on the other hulls. Hunter is instant death? When did they give it that ability? You have a smoky and come around a corner and encounter a Titan Ricco. Do you zap it? cuz at that range Titan Ricco will smoke your smoky. So you zap it. Stun it for 3 seconds. Even IF you have DD handy, smoky is not guaranteed to kill a Titan of same m-level in 3 seconds. Guess what happens when that 3 seconds is over? Same thing for mammoth encountering Hunter around a corner. Both hit shift and guess what... that 1 second delay means Hunter is dead. There are so many different situations where one OD can beat the other, but lose a different time. Often the fastest draw wins. It's almost like you don't understand the concept of Rock-Paper-Scissors. What's ironic is that you cry about Hunter - seem to be raging actually - but your most-used hull is Titan. Yeah Titan, with that weak, crappy dome.

Team modes... hmmm... so... 3 or 4 tanks sitting inside a Titan dome (with all the "supplies high ranks use") won't be able to kill that Hunter before it can Zap the beacon - just zapping Titan wont remove the dome. Just like a Hornet sitting in the bushes, can activate it's OD and one-shot any Hunter patrolling around. I find it curious when people rant about how OP some things are - they just have not learned how to counter it is all. Wonder if simpleone considers Titan Dome OP. I know for a fact a lot of people do. Guess what hull simpleone uses the most... At it's core these ODs are Rock-Paper-Scissors. Some work better against others but are weak against different ones.
  3. The picture you posted is pretty much it's max range - and looks to be about 22m or so if that Hunter is 5m long. Many enemies - if not surprised - have a chance to kill or severely weaken the Hunter before it zaps. If that Hornet Rail reacted a little faster it could have one-shot that Hunter before range was closed.
  4. Balanced? Probably. OP? Hardly. Has a lot of weaknesses to go along with all of your complaints above. - range is relatively short ~ 22m. Lots of enemies can kill at > 22m before Hunter even gets a chance to use the EMP. - Blocked by obstacles - even a low wall will stop it from working on a tank 5m away - has a 1 second delay even after pressing shift. A good number of turrets or ODs like Mammoth can kill you in that time - Does not work on all ODs. I had stunned a Viking-twins that just activated OD. and because I did not have DD handy did not manage to kill it. Guess what happened when that 3 seconds was over... - Does not do ANY damage to enemies - at all. None. Zilch. Zero. Without DD handy many turrets struggle to kill medium or heavy hulls in 3 seconds.

    It's both. If no enemy has the turret you are likely to switch that module out. Just like if 3 or more enmies have he turret you will definitely equip it. BUT... Turrets that can one-shot you pose the greatest threat - nothing you can do about hem ... except ... equipping a module that prevents - or at least reduces the chances of - one shot kills. Because of MM I don't know what map I will end up on. So my default modules are Thunder/Rail/Shaft so I don't get one-shotted right out the gate. Then if I see no shafts (or thunder or Rail (LOL) ) in the battle I switch one or more out.

    They did a lousy job of implementing Viking OD. Be interesting to see the formula that calculates shots per second for the OD. Would not be surprised if it is the exact same number for all turrets...

    Yup. They need an algorithym that has a cutt-off for 1) adding new players with a minimum time left or 2) early battle termination once a time threshold has been reached AND a combination of score differential and tanks differential. With events like Challenge and WAR, a significant number of players don't want to waste their time on a team that gets eat up.

    Maybe selectively for that one player (though I love these players that "always" end up top -3 - what happens when 4 of these players are on same team?) BUT - with 8 players per team the Average works out to be 3/8 which is less than 50%.

    Since there's 8 players on (most) teams and only 3 "finish-top-3" positions that's a less than 50% chance per battle to finish top-3. You might want to adjust your hours calculation.

    Please elaborate. FYI - last night every battle I played in had teams that were heavily weighted by ranks for one side = greatly unbalanced battles which were all blow-outs.

    Even with with DA equipped inside the dome Titan can be destroyed by turrets like Rail with DD equipped - most likely with LCR alt - which, with rapid fire does incredible damage in the 7 seconds since it effectively has no penalty on reload. And since dome is often used along with 1+ team-mates inside, there is high chance you have >1 enemy firing at the Titan. One of best solutions to the dome is to force the Titan to use it before it would like to - ensure the team targets the titan as soon as it comes out from cover. I've seen Titans under fire like this drop the dome in crappy tactical positions - almost useless spots where enemies just leave it until the dome goes away.

    it's need for a Fire module AND smoky module that makes it OP. Two modules to handle 1 turret, especially if there is no actual firebirds on other team - a good possibility on larger maps. Makes you vulnerable to that 3rd different turret you could have been protected against. Which is why I really think we need an option for having 4 modules - each with < % than if you have 3. This still allows one-shot kills on light hulls and 1-shot kills with DD on unprotected mediums while having a devastating up-close punch. They should have lowered sniping damage by 35% so you just miss out one-shotting a light hull.

    Did they recently nerf Compact Fuel tanks for Firebird? Cuz... that's always been an OP alteration. Then there's incendiary mix - which many players swear gives +50% damage contrary to the posted +10% damage. Don't forget Mortar from Magnum. Now you don't even have to hit a tank to kill it. It's a complete joke in no-supply battles. Oh... and Incendiary for smoky. Trade critical for burning? Unless you use 2 module slots to protect against 1 turret it's a direct upgrade in damage done.

    Viking with ANY DPS turret sucks. Vulcan - it's bad as well. They give reload turrets super-fast firing (Rail it's OP) AND damage boost. DPS all they give is damage boost. Dumb. On the other hand... I died 2 spawnings in a row in one battle to Viking Rail & Viking Ricco that had OD ready. When used correctly guaranteed kills.
  19. IMO paints are a waste of crystals since 1) they don't help you battle and 2) you get free paints in containers - too many if you ask me. My Trooper drone boosts my GS by 200 points. Don't you have a stockpile of batteries? Each of my accounts has ~ 1800 to 2000 batteries - mostly because I did not use them except for DMs where surviving spawnings is crucial. With a large stockpile I can now use them whenever I feel a mission might be difficult.

    I don't see any mention of "Old" ODs in GWKKs post. "... the overdrives..." The "Old" ODs were bad too. Game has been going down-hill since ANY of the ODs were introduced. All ODs accomplished was making unbalanced battles even more unbalanced - since actions such as kills & Caps help recharge the ODs.
  21. What are you spending your crystals on? Try equipping a drone - that will pump your GS. My Major General account gets to 6984 with drone, animated paint and all m2 equipment This account gets to 9420 with drone and sub-m4 equipment. It's not that hard to push 9500 if you play 4+ years.

    Ever see what a Magnum can do using Viking OD? just tweak their hull a bit during the rapid-fire and it's like an MLRS. All they need to do is equip the Mortar alteration. Miss and you end up doing more damage than a stock that hits.

    The nature of the turret (indirect fire) makes it OP all by itself. It's not weak AT ALL. See lots of them every battle.
