If you do not count, -50% critical chance for 50% more critical damage seems bad. But, as you said, math doesn't lie) I will be using M4 stats for this comparison. You see, both turrets will shoot 10 shots in the same amount of time. 535 is the average damage for a standard shot. So, a stock Smoky will deal 8*535 + 2*800 = 5880 throughout 10 shots: 8 standard ones, and 2 ctits since the critical chance is 20%. Divide that by 10, and you will get an average stock smoky-shot. Divide the resulting damage by Smoky's reload time, and you have the turrets DPS, which is 392. Now the Supercumulative rounds. Throughout 10 shots it will fire 9 normal rounds and 1 crit, for the critical chance has been reduced to 10%. However, the critical hits now deal 1200 damage. So 10 shots with this alteration will deal 9*535 + 1200 = 6015. You can already see that the alteration increases Smoky's damage. But lets just finish it up. After dividing that amount by 10, and then by Smoky's reload time, you will get the turrets DPS: 401. To sum up: the average damage per shot is 588 without the alt, 601,5 with Supercumulative. The stock version manages the DPS of 392, while the modified version manages 401. Hope I disclosed this for once. Yes, a lot of people think it lowers the turrets DPS, but count it properly, and you will come up with the same result every single time (unless they nerf this alt, since it is quite useful).

Vulcan was insanely overpowered, Mammoth has quite good an overdrive. A drugged Hunter M0 can stun a Hunter M4 and deactivate its drugs, allowing the player to kill it. An M0 Viking can quickly kill an M4 Viking thanks to its OD. Pretty much instantly. A Titan M0 can destroy a Titan M4 thanks to its shield. Want more? Well, a Wasp M0 can kill a fully drugged Wasp M4 with its bomb, not using drugs itself. Hah. Also, are you posting such an emotion-powered comment because you want Vulcan to be brought back to its previous state?

That's why you win VotW. Always so positive about pay-to-win updates)

Changes in the balance of Vulcan, some Drones and Alterations

Quite looking forward to a Thunder nerf. At least it's alt. -
Good luck in enjoying your Autocannon... You'll need it! Unless it is all M4 vs M3 players  Ignorant is quite a strong word to use when referring to a comment supported with valid arguments. The Autocannon only has an advantage over Supercumulative rounds if both tanks are heavy and/or are fighting over a distance of over 110 meters with no cover at all. Otherwise, the fact that Autocannon is not good for flanking, rocking, peek-a-boo or deflecting will give the opponent the upper hand.
-
Oh please... 1. Stock Smoky takes an equal amount of time to destroy a tank, regardless if it gets a crit or not (provided that it deals it's average damage), so both will kill one tank equally fast. However, the next tank will take two shots less if you use Supercumulative rounds. 2. Supercumulative rounds increase the gun's DPS. As for your second statement, let me alter it: Autocannon's shots deal 224,4 impact force per second, while the stock Smoky manages 220. 2% less, but this is still more convenient since it is divided into bursts, allowing you to actually knock somebody's aim off. Also, the Cannon is not that effective at long range, since the advantage starts at 100 m, becomes significant at 130. Unlikely to find such large an open space with tanks driving through it. Now, for the last one: 1. Incendiary rounds are unlikely (to say the least) to be removed. 2. Allowing two types of damage from one turret is basically unfair. - Wolverine848. Well, you mean... Firebird?

That's right, Autocannon sucks. It kills enemies roughly as fast as the stock Smoky, slower than one with Supercumulative or Incendiary rounds. It is somewhat like a Vulcan, having to expose itself to deal damage, but it has way lower DPS. However, it still maintains the disadvantage high-damage-per-shot guns have – wasting damage. This is because it deals most of it through critical hits, which come every 2,5 seconds. You cannot use peek-a-boo tactics with this weapon, rocking your hull to shoot tanks on a different elevation will cause you to lose 50% of your damage potential. It's impact force is way less useful, since it is dealt every 0,5 seconds. With that being said, the shots cause less physical impact per second than the stock version! It simply combines the disadvantages of multiple weapons. It is the worst of all worlds, so to speak. The only advantage it has is that it loses less damage over range, which is only significant when shooting enemies afar. So far, that they are sure to have cover. So there you have it – it brings all sorts of tactical disadvantages just for some more range and stopping RK's a bit more effectively. Something I missed?

Changes in the balance of Vulcan, some Drones and Alterations

Turret balance? OK. But why make the advantage drone users get even bigger? I assure you, people will simply move on to PRO battles or leave the game, and if you tweak PRO battles to make them equally lame, most people will just leave forever instead of merging to non-PRO. Is there anything the drone buff adds gameplay-wise? Of course not! You might have a few buyers sticking around in non-PRO, but they will all eventually quit, too, as all the unfortunately mistreated F2P-players will scrap this game, leaving P2Winners to battle between themselves and have to wait forever for the MM system to work. Senseless update. Do you even know what attracts people to buy in-game stuff? Making it necessary to pay won't bring money, it will just reduce the amount of players. You need to keep the game fun for F2P's, too, because if you do not, the game will depreciate even faster (most players already noticed that process early-on), and, Good Heavens, who in the world will spend money in TO when the game's death is round the corner already? If the lead developer hit his head recently, I not only wish him all the best to recover, I pray for that to happen! Sad. but not serious — we can all move on to something else, whatever will it be. On a final note: -________- -
Definitely agree.

Yeah, nobody likes those cheats who try to get an advantage from their PING... Especially annoying in 1v1's when some lagger or hacker hits you while you are three to ten meters behind a wall already. Kids just do anything to win. Thank you for dealing with such people, great to see the game progressing!

Sledgehammer rounds nerf This alteration definitely needs a nerf. It was meant to give Thunder a firing rate-boost, making the damage decline start at very short range in turn. However, the maximum damage range only makes it a bit less than the standard thunder at about 100 m range; with that being said, it deals way more damage per second not only to enemies standing in close proximity, but also to those far away! I created a chart to illustrate that (link below). The horizontal numbers represent the average damage per second, while the vertical ones show the range at which the said damage can be dealt. https://imgur.com/tc5h1BV As you can see, the difference in damage is huge. The turret's range remains very good. With that being said, the alteration has no tactical disadvantages compared to Smoky or the standard Thunder - it remains very effective at medium to long range, you can successfully use hit-and-run tactics with it, it does not slow the turret down or make it overheat like Vulcan. It is also way more effective at deflecting enemies and crowd control, as well as stopping an opponent's repair kit. Beyond the range of minimum damage it still manages the DPS of a Railgun, without having to warm up briefly before each shot. All these pros cost is a slight decrease in range and 120k crystals, which do not make much of a difference anyway. What I propose is a simple nerf in the alteration's stats, e.g. making it reduce the reload time by 23% and making the range decrease more significant. This, however, is just my proposal; the most important thing is to finally have the overpowered alteration nerfed!

I have no idea why people consider the paint nice. I was expecting something bright coloured, like Spectrum, and suddenly this pops up! It looks like a mix of dirty play-doh, bringing back my childhood to life :D I know what you are getting at. Agreed. #XXI century.

Sounds appealing, but that's like 100$, and I am sure many people would not buy XT's if they didn't trust that they will remain unique. As much as I like this game, a lie is a lie. I'll definitely not be buying unique paint bundles, since I cannot be sure that the paint won't be added to containers or challenges. I only bought shop paints - imagine how people who bought XT's must feel. On a long term this is not a good move from TO's side.
-
This was claimed never to happen in one of the vlogs( PS: waiting for Champ in next challenge, but I won't mind getting Glad either :D
-
Cause we need all the shop paints/skins given away as soon as possible... Such a disgrace that there are people who do not have every single paint yet :o Good point, many games can get you into grinding instead of playing totally for fun... But, as i pointed out, this can't last forever, especially with the problem of their renown being exacerbated like this... Which, in turn, hints us that TO may not be Alternativa's main focus anymore. But why would they put hope in TX or King: Hardcore? That's hard to justify.
-
https://youtu.be/M-eRoG3h2BE?t=144 - let's be frank, that was simply a lie. No one can deny that. Waiting for the Yellow Bug or perhaps the CRYO paint from a container :D And seeing my unique Photon paint everywhere :o Oh no, but I felt like writing about it now :)
-
This is just stupid. Why do you give away shop paints? Why epic-rarity paints? And shot effects... I do not have time for getting all of them, and even if I did, I'd rather prefer buying those to grinding 2000 stars. But since so many people will anyway have all of the said items, i won't even do that. I was hoping that TO will give people more opportunities to buy paints, skins and shot effects, all while limiting the advantages buyers have over non-buyers in battles. Opposite is true - both buyers and non-buyers can have skins, which makes them unattractive for buyers, but you limit the container rewards in missions and give buyers more drugs for having the Battle pass. What sense does it make? Well, many people will buy the Pass since it gives you so many items at a cheap price. However, here comes the flip side. Soon enough, buyers will be angry about their skins being given away like that, and players will quit buying the battle pass as they notice how worthless and common the customization items are. Tanki said before that once the XT's are gone from the shop, they will only be available from containers. On Black Friday they were ale back in the shop - a pity, but let it be. Now they are in challenges, together with shot effects and shop paints! Would you trust a company like that and keep buying paints/aesthetic bundles? I used to be very positive about every update, while others would just complain - I believed in matchmaking, I understood that there can't be 50% discounts all the time, I did not despise alterations, nor did I even rant about drones. And that was both when I was a buyer and wasn't. But this... Tanki Online marketers completely devaluated skins and hurt (or should I say, finished off :D) the game's renown. Maybe F2P-players will be able to defeat full-time drugging buyers with their newly acquired shot effects... We'll see for ourselves :D

Oh yh? Autocannon is not overpowered, it is actually pretty weak compared to Vulcan or the normal Smoky. Striker's Uranium Missles, on the other hand, where very good on short range an immensely overpowered when used in open spaces. Plasma Torch... well... kinda weak compared to Freeze or Fire, and that's just a small buff, should be OK now. And I have both Viking and Dictator, I always prefer Dictator with long/medium ranged weapons unless it's attacking on CTF. Even in Rugby or Assault Dictator is better, cause Viking just can't push other tanks/climb on them. Why the Corrosive Mix, though? A powerful effect like freezing for 5% more damage... I wouldn't but it even before.

I am not sure what to buy. Shaft + Shaft module + the Quickfire alteration, or Hammer + Hammer module + Duplet alteration. Can somebody who played with both help? Personally, I kind of feel that Hammer might be a better choice...

Guys, this is not worth it. If you are old enough you can even get a payed job instead of playing eight hours a day. You will end up with enough money to buy good stuff anywhere you want, even if you spend it in-game you will end up getting more. Besides, unless you are really (dude, really?) going for the top reward, other items in the shop bring more value than the battle pass. Personally, I will not even try to get the top-shelf reward.

Hah, thanks, you might have saved my 18$

I wanted to do the same, because although I kind of like painting, I have nothing to do with Pablo Picasso. Now I think I will stay with my current nick - some people know me for it, and it definitely makes me more recognizable than if I was one of the thousands of players who name themselves the way you said. For me, it is harder to remember a player who is called "Before" or "Efficiency" and other stuff. They just melt into one. Overall, I think people do it because it is somewhat aesthetic and "fashionable". Nothing more to it, I'd say.
-
Thank you, agreed.

I have just ranked up to the rank of Lieutenant General. I have over a million crystals, so obviously I couldn't wait to spend those on kits. But all of a sudden - they have dissapeared from the garage. They were here yesterday, I swear. I doubt this will be a permanent change, since it was not announced in any way, but this is so dissapointing...
