Will you have kids when you grow up?

Babies don't come with an instruction manual and couples don't take a test to become qualified. Where did you get your statistics?
  2. I'm not sure I quite understand. Here's three different situations dealing with Clan abcXYZ. You tell me which one is more applicable. Situation #1: Clan abcXYZ, for whatever reason, doesn't have a Striker user and the Clan Leader thinks that a Striker would be beneficial in battles. He has 3 Shaft players in the Clan and feels the Clan can do without one of them. So, he asks Clan member ZulouX if he had a Striker. ZulouX says that he does, but it's an M0. Clan Leader asks him if he would mind learning to use Striker, for the benefit of the Clan. ZulouX agrees. Because of ZulouX's rank, the M1 is locked. The Clan Leader buys ZulouX Striker M2.0 for 117 100 crystals and gives it to him as a gift. It's up to ZulouX to MU it. Situation #2: Same as above, but instead of buying Striker M2 for crystals, he buys ZulouX a "Challenger" Kit from the store for $75.99, which has a Striker M3, and gives it to him as a gift. Situation #3: Clan abcXYZ is having a photoshoot. Everyone has to be dressed in XT skins. Problem is, ZulouX doesn't have any XT skins. Clan Leader has two. One he will wear with his combo. The other is not the same as ZulouX's combo, but he agrees to wear it anyway. Clan Leader pays $10.00 to TO to let ZulouX borrow the XT skin. After the photoshoot, Clan Leader wants the XT skin back. Does ZulouX have to spend $10.00 to give it back to Clan Leader? In all situations, how does Clan Leader give ZulouX the M2 Striker or the Kit and borrow the XT skin without knowing his pass? Clan Leader pays TO the $10.00, but how will he give it to TO? Will TO have to set up an account someplace specifically for this purpose? Don't forget about the foreign exchange rate. Clan Leader will have to pay TO $10.xx to include the exchange rate. Am I on track with any of this or have I gone off the beaten path?

If you have GeForce on your computer, that has recording capabilities pack in with it.
  4. I didn't know Tanki had a music library. How did I miss that? Some good sounds there.

    Ideas for Missions!

Are you suggesting we break the rules of sabotage? See highlighted area below: 2.1.5. Sabotage — Any acts or omissions aimed at creating obstructions for the team where the User is a member, including in CTF, TDM and CP modes, fighting against the team of which you are a member (intentional selection of weak equipment, frequent pauses, inactivity or intentional failure to comply with map’s or game mode’s requirements, imitation of issues with internet connection), damaging/destroying an ally’s tank, fighting in the interest of the opponent’s team (conspiracy); I have all the hulls and turrets except for the latest ones. Most of them are M0s. To complete the missions as stated, I would either have to use my M0 equipment (sabotage) or upgrade all of them to at least M2 (unnecessary expense). Trying to upgrade several turrets and/or hulls at once is personal financial sabotage. Many players usually upgrade their primary and secondary combos until they are fully MUed and then start upgrading other turrets and hulls with the excess crystals. M3s are unlocked at Marshal. After upgrading primary and secondary combos to M4, you're close to being Legend. Nope, this one won't fly with me. No upvote here.

    Getting Banned without a reason

You cannot discuss bans or threats of bans here. Mods cannot ban without a reason. You must have violated a rule. PM the Mod that threatened to ban you and find out which rule you violated. Was it a Battle Mod that threatened to ban you?
  8. The next step is to delete personal files, not system files...don't mess with them as you found out. I'm not a geek either so I'm not going to suggest which files to delete, I'd be flying by the seat of my pants the same as you. Hopefully, a geek will see this and help you. Good luck.

Are you scared of Rollar Coasters?

Huh-uh, not me. Nope. Huh-uh. A friend talked me into a roller coaster ride, much against my better judgement. It was fairly tame, so, why not? As you went in, you were asked if you wanted your picture taken and had to sign a permission form. I didn't know anything about the ride nor did I know when the picture was going to be taken. The train did a loop-de-loop, twist and then plunged downhill into darkness. That's when the picture was taken. I never knew my eyes and mouth were capable of getting so big and wide!! I was holding onto the safety bar with white knuckles. I'm also a lousy front seat passenger in a car going 70 mph. I don't like the feeling of being out of control in a fast moving vehicle.
  10. I had surgery on my right leg and was unable to drive for awhile. My friend agreed to take me to Doctor appointments and rehab in my truck. She had a habit of throwing the keys in her purse and using the door lock, which works the same way as the lock on the key fob. I told her to use the key fob, that way she knows she has the keys. She told me not to worry because throwing the keys in her purse was so automatic she didn't need to think about it. One day she came to take me to my rehab appointment. She came a bit early, so we sat and gabbed for awhile. When it was time to leave, she went out to the truck to unlock it and open the passenger door for me while I locked up the house. When I got to the truck, she was fumbling through her purse looking for the keys and ended up dumping her purse (which looked more like a gym bag) out on the driveway. No keys. I looked in the widow and they were sitting on the seat. I told her, "So much for 'it's so automatic I don't need to think about it' crap."
  11. Have you tried defrag to free up space? Dump temp files? Uninstall apps you don't use or can live without? Most apps are not space hogs, but a few are.
  12. I've been researching the forums on high action games and MMOs. Lag is a global problem with many contributing factors. There is nothing that can be done on the gaming side and most times not on the player's side either. It has to do with distance data has to go, lost packets, sending/receiving stations along to way. Some underwater cables are very old and are unable to carry the amount of data that is being sent, especially at peak times. When a cable fails, it's replaced. Look at this map. In the right hand column near the top is a link: "Look no further" the articles explains the matters much better than me and goes into more depth. Education continues outside the classroom. You never stop learning. https://www.submarinecablemap.com/

Crashing and crashing again and again

They need to take it to a Veterinarian and get that leak fixed.
  14. If Tanki stays on the beaten path, what will happen is after a few months when the Devs decide that those who are going to buy the new weapon have bought it, they will begin to nerf the heck out of it. A new weapon is always OP when it first comes out as player (buyer) bait. If you think it's balanced now, wait a few months after the nerf. You'll put it in the junk closet with the rest of Tanki stuff you don't use and go back to the tried and true.

Tanki server lag ( a new approach)

If this is in the wrong section, I'm sure someone will put it where it belongs. This is far beyond my field of expertise, so please bear with me as I try to sure this with you. I've been reading the forums of several games in regards to lag. It seems lag is not particular to just Tanki. It's a global problem that affects many games. The general consensus is that it's due to packet drop, which has nothing to do with the game itself and nothing can be done about it on the game side of the sent data. Each packet contains a certain amount of data particular to the game. If even one packet is dropped (or lost in transit) then you will experience lag even though you fps and ping are within normal limits of the game. Now, this is where I'm getting in a little over my head. So, if my terminology is wrong, maybe someone can make the mud a little clearer. When the packets leave the game server, it goes through several servers (stopping points?) along the way. The more servers the packets have to pass through, the more chance of data being lost. Some of the game sites are suggesting downloading Kill Ping. It's a program (I hope that's the right word) that finds the most direct route for the packets to take, reducing the number of servers it has to go through, thus the less chance of lag with good fps and ping. This link to YouTube explains how to use it. Has anyone ever heard of it? I don't know if this would work for Tanki. Any thoughts from you geeks out there in cyber land? EDIT: I found a better explanation. I know this is from another game, but it explains about the packet loss. I'm trying to help, really I am.
  16. I've been having loading problems for a while, now. It happens in between battles. When the loading bar starts to go at a snail's pace, I know I have to reload the tab, which is in between nearly every battle. It happens so often that I just automatically reload the tab before clicking on another battle, seems to help. Yes, @KariWolves, I know all about the cleaning and dumping the trash and how to reduce lag. I don't need the lecture. I also know that the signal comes to us through underwater cable system and the problem lies between the receiving station and my computer. The Devs are innocent, that's why it has existed since the beginning of time with this game, except for about a year or so when hardly anyone complained about lag. Then suddenly, it's a major issue, again. Go figure. I've never had to reload the tab between each battle before, until about a month ago. But that's my fault...Right? It does no good to complain. It's like calling a repairman to fix the refrigerator. He says it's fixed, but after he leaves I notice he didn't plug it back in. So, I plug it in and it catches fire. I call the repairman to complain and he says it's my fault for plugging it in.
  17. 80K is a lot for a non-buyer, which I assume OP is since he mentioned that he had been saving up for the celebration.
  18. That's what you get for not keeping your password secure. To prevent that from happening in the future, change your password now, if you haven't already done it, and keep it to yourself. Never trust anyone with a password. Since he has his own account he has no business logging into yours. Maybe you can talk him into buying you a gift card so you can buy crystals from the store to make up for the ones he spent without your authorization. Lesson learned (I hope).

    Multwatch

Isidas are notorious for having very low K/Ds, low kills and high deaths. When an Isida goes with an attacking team, which tank is usually the first one to die? Isida. Which one do they look for? Isida. The same goes for a team being attacked that has an Isida. A healing Isida will end a battle with 0 kills and 10+ deaths. So, don't confuse an Isida for a mult.

    tanki isnt working at all

I don't know if this would be a little off topic, but this is a comparison between then and now. When tanki was still in its infancy, I remember trying to play with 1 fps and 999 ping. I reduced my screen to not much larger than a postage stamp. Then it was playable, but hard to see. We still have fps and ping problems, but not that severe.
  22. Same old, same old CP-TDM Polygon MM red. I came into the battle a couple minutes late. Already red base had been overrun, but there was still plenty of time for red to recover and change the cp's. That didn't seem to be red's objective. They stayed at their base, hiding behind boxes, buildings and containers. Blue would attack enmasse, red would kill them all (I think red was more powerful than blue). Yet they didn't take that opportunity to change any of the cp's. They simply stayed in the base area, waiting for blue's next wave of attack. I tried changing the cp's on my own, killed a few blues in the process, but I had absolutely no team support. Three or four blues would attack me and change the cp's back to blue while the rest of the blue team attacked red base.
  23. Kills don't count as being active. Only movement of your hull is considered active. Example: Shaft is the biggest victim of an inactive boot, even though they have a high kill count in that battle. The reasons I asked are twofold: 1...I've seen tanks that never seem to move. They are killed and respawn, yet they aren't kicked from battle. 2...When a base has been overtaken by the opposing team and are getting spawn killed, many times tanks don't have time to react before they are spawn killed again. I've been in that situation many times, yet I never got booted from a battle.

    Authority In Tanki Online

Oh, thank you so much for pointing that out. Now, how about you checking your spelling.
  25. If a tank doesn't move for 2 minutes(?), it's booted from the battle as inactive. If a player who has logged into a battle is suddenly called away from the computer (life happens) and he doesn't get back in the allotted time. While he's away, the opposing team has taken over his team's base and the player's tank is repeatedly being spawn killed. Does the game recognize this as active or inactive? Different scenario, same situation, but this time the base is not being overrun but the player's tank is still being killed on occasion, as an easy kill. The tank respawns and a minute or two later, is killed again. Is this considered by the game as being active or inactive?
