  1. My vision isn't that great so shoot me and hang me from the highest tree for being wrong. I can't even read the nicknames of players in battle. If I want to see who a player is, I have to drive up to and get as close as I can to the player and stare at the name until a few letter combinations become recognizable. Then I go to the leaderboard and see if I can find that group of letters. So please don't laugh at me for being slightly vision impaired.
  2. You use Shaft M3 and Hornet M3, your K/D is 1.36 and your supply usage is low for your rank. I don't think your doing to shabby.

    Cannot establish connection - [HELP!]

When I read this topic, you said nothing about using Windows 7 nor did you mention the client. That was added after my answer. The client is out of my league since I don't use it. Is there a reason you never downloaded Windows 10?
  4. Maybe as you see it in your chair, but at the lower rank they see it a bit differently. When there are nerfs and buffs to turrets and hulls, I still notice a dramatic change on my lower accounts. It still comes down to "I used to be able to do (this, that and whatever), but I can't anymore. It's not like it was." Let's say, a player buys an M1 and is still battling against M0s. "Wow. Look at all the kills I'm getting. This turret is great! I love it!" Player ranks up and is now battling against M2s. Suddenly he's not getting the high scores anymore. Why? Because his world has changed. It's a different ballgame. It's all about change. Again, quit picking on the lower ranks. If they don't understand, then be the Leader, the Teacher and explain it to them without insults or implying insults. They are learning the same as we had to. Or did you forget about that part? Share your knowledge instead of blowing it off with insults.

    Cannot establish connection - [HELP!]

When you called your ISP, did you ask how much speed you are paying for? Did they test your line to insure that's how much you are actually getting? They don't have any control over the game, but they do have control over how much speed they are allowing you or how much is actually getting through to you. Cables get damaged (not your fault), outdoor connectors get damaged or corrode, someone working on the line may have accidentally put a splitter on your line when you should have a dedicated line. All three has happened to me. The tattletale sign of something wrong with the line is sudden lag. If you're not satisfied with answers on the phone, request a Tech to come to the house and manually check out the system. Did you get your router from your ISP or from the store? There may be a manufacturer's defect in it. The Tech can tell if your router is bad by putting his tester on it.
  6. When I test my internet speed (for Tanki) should I be testing locally, since the signals comes over the Transatlantic cable system or from my location to point of origin in The Netherlands where I understand the servers are.

    Let's Discuss Overdrives

I played Juggernaut twice and that was shortly after it came out. I didn't know what its OD is. Oh, well. Back to the drawing board. Maybe its OD could be little robotic minions that come out and wreak havoc like climbing all over the enemy tanks attempting to disassemble enemy tanks. But then, I guess that's too much like Isida's nanobots. Well, heck, I think it should have some kind of minions. EDIT: Maybe Bernoulli's Principle can be applied here.

    Ideas for Missions!

In case you may have missed the comments in other parts of the forum, there are players who don't specifically do missions. If they complete a mission, it's by accident. If such a player has a mission for 25 kills and makes 25 kills, the mission is complete, but not because that player was trying to complete it. That doesn't make the player a troll. If the player isn't interested in doing personal missions, what makes you think they'll "do it for the team?" Besides that, you're assuming that everyone is a team player. I'm seeing most players are individuals who happen to be on a team. How many battles have you seen where nearly the entire team never leaves the base and is parked the opposite end of the base from the flag or goal. Or are in opposing team territory playing TDM. In either case, their flag is being stolen, Touchdowns being made, base being successfully attacked or all the control points are in the opposing teams color and the team that you are counting on to do a team mission doesn't give a rat's behind.
  9. Don't sell anyone short just because they have a low rank. I have accounts much lower than this one and much higher. On one of my lower accounts I made a comment and a player said I was lower rank and didn't know anything about the topic and to come back when I had more experience. I logged out and logged back in on my highest account. I quoted my comment and his, then asked if this rank was high enough to discuss such matters. Suddenly the atmosphere in the room changed dramatically. His comment was, "Sorry, I didn't know. I thought you were some noob."
  10. Yes, but just your group mates, not your entire team.

According to my translator it says, "It tears the air stronger than shrapnel."

    Let's Discuss Overdrives

Since Hover tank glides on a blanket of air, I was thinking that maybe its OD might be a cyclone of air emanating from all around it, disrupting nearby enemy tanks, like veering them slightly off course, for instance. But that doesn't seem to be the case. Hover is an outside of the box concept for Tanki, so it would make sense its OD would be outside the box as well. So far, all the suggestions I've seen are similar to another tank inside the box.
  13. The picture shows a Wasp (I think) partially hidden behind a wall. The tank is outlined in dark red and the tank is opaque red. What he is saying is if a teammate is behind a wall or building you can't see the health bar. He's proposing that your if group mate is behind a wall or building, their outline would be visible, in this case, red.

    Let's pretend we're noobs

In lobby chat: anyone got acc for sale marshel or above? i drop 10 gb. (No response) (Repeats request) (No response) comon guys u can trust me. i honest person. Another player: you dont have gb Scammer: i forgot i drop them. i buy more. i honest person. (No response)
  15. Overdrive is a love/hate relationship. If you have it, you love it. If the enemy has it, you hate it. Those who say they hate the ODs use it just as often as everyone else. If you truly hated it, then you wouldn't use it and you wouldn't take advantage of Titan's OD when your health is low and you would get entirely upset when Mammoth activated all supplies when yours is in cooldown. No, you don't hate it, you hate it when the enemy uses it. My only problem with OD is the fact that it activates quicker with kills and damage, that puts the losing team at a greater disadvantage. There are many reasons for leaving a losing battle, this is just another one, thanks to the Devs. Hummm...on second thought, maybe it's a roundabout way of getting more revenue. For those times when your team is being spawn killed. Buy a Trooper drone and leave it in the garage. When you are being spawn killed, go into the garage and bolt it on.
  16. I have Viking and Titan. When I chose the hulls I had speed and armor in mind. I'm not a camper, thought sometimes the situation calls for it. I use Titan with Vulcan. It has the speed and armor to get closer to the enemy. I use Viking with Firebird. It has speed and armor for hit and runs. If the parameters between Hunter and Viking were switched, I would have chosen Hunter. Some say Viking is unstable. If you learn how to drive it properly, you would find it's no more unstable than any other hull. I can drive off cliffs, bridges, 2nd floor of Brest buildings and off the side of dirt ramps (instead of going all the way to the bottom) without flipping. Yes, at first, I did have a flipping problem, but now it's a rarity. If you jump straight forward or backwards, yes, you will flip. But if you jump at an angle, you won't. Another advantage to Viking is how the tracks are shaped. If I'm trying to prevent getting hit and I'm sitting in a thigh space against a dirt wall, I can back part way up the wall to get my nose out of line of sight.
  17. More likely they valued you as an easier target. Those snipers weren't there to kill the Juggernaut, they were there to kill everyone else for fast easy scores.
  18. I know this suggestion is already under consideration, but I'd like to make a revision, if I may. With the advent of alterations, this can change the Isida's role in battle. With the idea of the medic icon in mind: Broadband reactors....Medic symbol Support Nanobots....Medic symbol Nanomass Reactor...No Medic symbol. Energy consumption is +50% making it impractical to use as healing since it would take the same amount to heal as it would to destroy an enemy tank. With the Nanomass Reactor, the Isida is no longer a healer but rather an attacker the same as all the other turrets. I've been (while playing my alt acc) on one side of the map healing 2, 3, 4, tanks while another player on the far side is accusing me of multing. If I had a Medic Icon, maybe the other teammates would see I'm not multing, hiding, goofing off, etc. all of which I've been accused of, which is as far from the truth as it can be.
  19. I've never seen this paint in battle and the sample shown in the wiki doesn't animate, so I'm having a difficult time processing what you are suggesting. I agree with @P.4.R.K.O.U.R, I'd have to see it, too.

    Ideas for Missions!

I'll agree with the Isida part. My alt's main turret is Isida M3 with Support Nanobots. I tried killing an afk Titan with full health just to see how long it would take me. It took 1-1/2 loads to kill him. I spend vast majority of my time healing teammates at base and in the battlefield. I've kept flag and ball carrieres alive in ASL, CTF, RGB. I've protected them while they were hiding by healing and planting mines, etc. all the good things an Isida should do. There are times when I feel like a one armed paper hanger because I'm running around the battlefield trying to heal. But in the end, I don't have enough score for even one star. EDIT: My low score is because of all the travel time I have to do and many times, by the time I get there the teammate has already used RK, plus I seldom engage the enemy, unless there's a chance I might make a kill. I've also taken verbal abuse from teammates because I was on one side of the battlefield healing 4 teammates and another is on the other side with low health telling me to quit multing and do my job. Another time, I had just finished healing 2 Mammoths who had no health bars left. A Titan with just a thread of health came to me to be healed. I didn't have enough juice left, but I was doing my best with what I had. He told me I was useless.
  21. In the earlier days of the game, there weren't any icons, but there was teamwork and the ability to communicate with your team (before the merge) Someone from your team (usually a Wasp or Hornet) would sneak into enemy territory for the specific reason to find the team flag. Not to kill, just to spy. Then you would return to team base, either by respawning or voluntary and team chat where the flag is. If you were the only one on your team that spoke English, how would you tell your Russian teammates that the flag was behind the red building?
  22. I can see where this strategy might work. You and your team won't know where your flag (CTF) is hiding, where the ball is going to drop or in what direction it's coming from (RGB), where the attackers are (ASL). Sounds challenging and frustrating at the same time. I doubt if you would get very many players joining a battle like that. It would be a great disadvantage to a good Isida player whose concern is to keep the carrier's health up. (How can you find the carrier if you don't see the icon, especially a carrier that is constantly changes hiding places?) Changing the size of the icon is a good idea, though.
  23. Turrets, hulls, paint (except common), skins, modules, drones, shot effects and supplies affect Gear Score so those couldn't be transferred between accounts.
  24. When the game seems to be running smoothly and you get booted out with no explanation.
  25. I can't say this is the stupidest sight in Tanki, but it certainly one of the most frustrating. Yorkshire ASL Blue. Three Titans from Red had taken over blue base. They had their ODs timed just right. A few seconds after one deactivated, another one activated it again. After they had made a few caps, nearly the entire red team was either under the dome or close to it. Darn!! You talk about a wash out battle!! There outta be a law.
