If you meet someone on Tanki, you've chatted, fought battles together, maybe sent PMs to each other and have become friends. Further on down the road either the friend confides in you or Tanki has implemented gender on profile, you find out this friend is a female. Because of that your attitude towards that person suddenly changes. What I'm saying is that maybe your original attitude is the reason the female was attracted to you in the first place. Suddenly you change attitude because the friend, whom you obviously thought was a male in the first place, is female and she may not like the change. I understand your reasoning and I compliment you on that. Not all men are Gentlemen. On online games are bit different, though. You're not meeting face to face. So all one has to go on is attitude and a perceived personality. If the person didn't like it in the first place, you wouldn't be friends.

Highland CTF blue. Our team (blue) thought they were defending the flag. They gathered around the flag enmass. Red started advancing. Red Firebird and Freeze went up on the cliff, jumped down and prepared blue for the final kills. The advancing tanks came in finished up blue and while the they were respawning, red scored. Rinse and repeat above scenario several times. You'd think blue would get the message...nope. I stayed out of that mess.

Is there someplace where these icons are explained?

This morning, I picked up a Gold Box. A gold shield, or that's what it looked like, appeared in the area where the star shows up. Thinking it was an OD, I tried activating it by another player, but nothing happened. What does the gold shield suppose to depict?

I edited my post to give an explanation of what I saw. I'm really not suggesting or accusing anyone of anything, since I don't know how much of a lag I'm getting...1 second? 2 seconds? I haven't a clue. I suppose it's possible that he got the box with the tip of his tracks before I pushed him out of the way, though the box wasn't in the sight of my camera yet. That had to be at the bare minimum a 1 second delay, maybe a bit more, because I struggled with the push. Oh, well, Que Sera Sera.

That much of a lag, huh? He never got his tracks on solid ground. Well, I suppose if I was lagging one maybe 2 seconds, it may be possible. The tips of his tracks were coming forward and I pushed them out of the way, it didn't look like they were in the drop zone. The Gold Box wasn't visible in my camera, yet.

Probably the same way that the Mammoth got the Gold Box instead of me, yesterday. Gold Box was coming down just at the top of a steep ramp. Mammoth was coming up the ramp, I got into the drop zone and was trying to tip his tank backwards with my Titan. He got the gold even though the tips of his tracks were up in the air outside the drop zone. No way he should have gotten it since I was sitting in the middle of the zone.

Last night, I played 8 battles. 1st battle I was kicked from battle with a black screen. I tried to reload, but it wouldn't. I tried reloading again and was sent to the lobby. I didn't get my stars. 2nd battle, about the middle of the battle I saw spinning turrets. I reloaded and got back in, but I didn't materialize. The camera was there, but my tank wasn't. I reloaded again. This time I got in, materialized just in time to see the battle end. 3rd, 4th and 5th battles ran just fine. No issues. 6th battle, about the middle of the battle, I was shooting but doing no damage. I was about to reload when it seemed to straighten itself out. I continued to play for a minute or so, then everyone, but me, froze up. I reloaded. When I materialized, I seemed to be going smoothly and the other players were moving. I past by two of my teammates and they were following with their turrets. I felt they were seeing something that I didn't detect. Then the black screen. 7th battle, I materialized at the beginning of the battle. About 2 minutes into the battle I was booted with a black screen. I reloaded and everything was okay for the rest of the battle. 8th battle ran smoothly until the end of the battle. Just before the leaderboard showed, everyone froze up again and I got the black screen. I didn't see my standings. I'm not sure if I got the stars or not, I really wasn't paying much attention since I knew I had a long way to go. I got sick and tired of the whole mess and quit Tanki for the rest of the evening. EDIT: When I submitted this last night, I forgot to mention that I dumped the caches after the 2nd battle, as you always suggest when there is lag. As you can see, it didn't help. I guess my 10 month old gaming computer is just too old to play Tanki, since, apparently, MM is done and now Devs are working on Pro.

If the person said nothing about the way you communicated, then why change it? Just go with the flow. Maybe it's the way you communicate that attracted the person to you in the first place.

I'll put my 2 cents in for what it's worth. I suggest upgrading either Shaft, Vulcan or Smoky for long range and buy alterations. Smoky has been buffed and is a lot more powerful than it used to be and has become more popular and comboed with either Mammoth or Titan. I'm surprised that more players don't have Smoky protection. When Magnum first came out, the game was almost unplayable because of the popularity. There's still some around, but there doesn't seem to be the 2 to 4 on one team as there used to be. Now it has an alteration that sends a mine. Even if the mine misses you, the shot still does some damage. Occasionally, you'll come across a Mag player that sends a barrage of mines over to the enemy base. As for Drones, some players swear by them, others think they are a waste of money. With the Drones, you also have to have batteries, which uses up one battery per minute whether you use it or not. In a seven minute battle you use seven batteries by default. Nothing you can do about it. Do the missions and keep them up. The Challenges will give you containers full of supplies as will the missions. At the beginning of Tanki War 1, I bought a supply kit from the store, mainly because I didn't have any. I started doing missions and then the Challenges and haven't had to buy any more supplies. I have well over 2K of each supply and nearly 4K of mines. Containers also give you Gold Boxes. When you get a good supply of them, you can create a private battle and have a Gold Rain for yourself. These will convert into crystals, which helps if you run low. It's like having emergency money stashed away. I'm not the expert here. These are just a few thoughts I picked up on as they ran through my brain.

For the past 3 days, I have had terrible lag, getting booted out of the battle and not able to get back in. Yesterday was the worse. Each battle lasted about 2 minutes for me and then booted out with a black screen. I reload and would get a message that the server is under maintenance, come back later or use another server. I click on the link for another server and that came up with the same message. I managed to get one mission done and that was to capture one flag. Just as I capped the flag, my screen went black, but the cap was recorded in my missions as done. Because of all the lag, being booted out and not being able to get back in, etc, etc, I've managed to acquire a grand total of 10 stars in 3 days. Right now, I have 25 stars. My goal was to get at least 100 stars a day. Well, that ain't happenin'. You can't earn stars if you're constantly being booted out of the game and not able to get back in. On the brighter side, I'm glad the Devs are finally taking care of some of the problems we players have been complaining about for months, but have been told it's not the game's fault, it's the fault of our dirty computers. Because of the work I do, I have to have a squeaky clean computer and I take extra steps to ensure it is (a process that I do every Saturday afternoon and takes about 2 hours to accomplish). Everytime I complained about lag, I get links on how to clean my caches. It felt like an insult.

Then go back to my original post, re-read it. While reading, insert masculine and feminine where I put male and female. See if that makes more sense to you. No, tanks do not have a gender, but the people playing those tanks, do. My question is not what you call everyone, but rather how you would feel about someone you have befriended, thinking that person was one gender and later found out the person was another gender, would that change how you felt towards that person?

How much later? This morning I was booted out twice in the same battle. The second time, it didn't reload. Why do the Devs choose to do maintenance during a timed event where # of stars is the main goal. Get booted out and game doesn't reload...no stars and everything else is gone. There have been issues before this event, why wasn't this attended to weeks ago? Was it such an emergency that it had to be now? I looked at the announcements for War of Thrones, especially the fine print that says, "FYI: We will be conducting unscheduled maintenance during this event. Sorry for the inconvenience. Happy Tanking and may the best team win." Nope it wasn't there and this event has been advertised for weeks. This isn't the first time this has happened. The Devs didn't learn from their first mistake.

Servers are under maintenance. There's nothing you or anyone else can do about it. I've been playing for an hour and have been booted from battle 4 times. When I try to reload to get back into battle, I get the message that the server is under maintenance, try again later or try another server. I click on the link for another server and it never loads. I've lost a lot of crystals and stars because of this stupidity. This is not the first time this has happened during an event. Why do the Devs have to wait until times like these to do maintenance? Yesterday, I played for 1/2 hour and got booted out twice.

There was one, I remember telling my story. That was at least a year ago, maybe a bit more. It's archived by now.

So, how long do you wait before you click out of the queue? When I first click on a battle mode, very rarely am I in a battle by 1:15. But once I get into a battle and want to continue on in that mode, then I'll click continue and most times I'm in the next battle in about 15 seconds or less. If I choose quick battle mode, it takes anywhere from 10 seconds to 30 seconds.

Because stars is such a big feature, now, I don't stick around to be the target at target practice and end up with 0 stars for all my efforts, stress, name calling at my monitor (my dog covers his ears) and pounding on the desk (my dog leaves the room with his ears covered, shaking his head). Nope, ain't worth it. CLICK!!
