Rewards will likely be added within the time before the next server update, from my experience with TO and reward processing. Wouldn't be surprised if within the next 12 hours, but better to set expectations that can be exceeded ?

Maybe there can be a routine system set in place where clubs are re-evaluated on the more subjective elements of the Requirements for Official Status (trick quality, editing quality, etc.), and if a club fails, they lose their status. It would take being harsh in order for the system to maintain any lick of integrity though. I would suggest doing so after an Official club uploads, but I don't think that's fair because as it stands, clubs like Fly to High upload significantly more frequently than clubs like FeatherLike, and there's not a good way of adding in an "opportunity cost" of sorts, where a club is graded on an axis that factors in both time since previous upload and caliber of tricks, editing, etc.. Therefore, I'd suggest something like a quarterly check-up (for example, one in March, one in June, one in September, and one in December). Adding onto my point of there being a lack of measuring "opportunity cost," I think that's something that, regardless of whether these check-ups are implemented, should be added to the Requirements for Official Status.

Pulsar for Scorpion is going to be significantly worse than something like Smoky, as the chances of critical shots are the same odds but Scorpion shoots slower so... I would bet that the augment rarely ever has any effect on the outcome(s) of a game

Firstly, "vague and baseless" clearly must mean something different to you than others, because I entirely understood his viewpoint, and judging by the number of reactions (none of which are neutral, let alone negative) to his post, I think others do too. This isn't even taking into consideration whether they agree, which I assume they do. Also, I think it is immature to, when debating a topic, dismiss the other person(s)'s perspectives outright; most constructive arguments include a level of understanding and acceptance of the other party's position, even if you don't agree with that position. And no need to pull the "I didn't understand what he meant, that's why I used these terms" card, when you fired back with an entire exposé defending your point of view from his points; if you were able to do that, you clearly understood the points he was trying to get across. More importantly though (and secondly), Helper positions in this game more-or-less give the same bonuses to those that are in such a position and do work within the scope of their Helper position - I am sure you would agree that such positions fit the criteria of a "job." Sure, the duties of a parkourist may be less "sophisticated" in nature than that of a Helper, but they still receive similar rewards, and even have to adhere to behavior standards in spheres vastly outside of their immediate work scope (such as having a clean chat history, being on neutral and/or good terms with the corporation behind the game, etc.). Also, imposing deadlines that have to be adhered to in order to not risk potential negative effects (such as reduction and/or complete loss of bonuses) is something that occurs in a work environment, and coincidentally, is something that also happens within the TO parkour community. In TO's terms, "reduction and/or complete loss of bonuses" is synonymous with losing Official status, losing access to Club Spectators, losing supply support, etc.. If we Forum users still had the ability to create polls in our messages, I would create one that asked the question "Does being a member of an Officially-recognized parkour club meet the criteria of and/or feel like a job?", and I think you specifically might be surprised to see that the majority does feel this way (even though to me and to the reactors of SwiftSmoky's initial post, the poll outcomes would not be surprising). Regardless of whether "paid" is used in a different manner in those phrases, you still meant in YOUR message that "paid" means to provide, and this is even something you admitted to! "Paid" in the same sense as "give" both mean the same thing here, just the connotation of the word used is different. Connotation doesn't affect the meaning of a word, nor does it cause words to magically no longer be synonymous. You can even go back to your initial post and swap in the word "give" in place of "paid," and still, SwiftSmoky's argument is unwavered, and his point still stands; that should be enough proof to back up what I just said. Sure, there might be people in a real-world company that do their work simply for the fun, and don't mind their salary, but for the majority of employees at that same company, they are carrying out their jobs in attempt to make money and/or receive other bonuses that are more tangible and physical than a mere feeling. What's to say the same isn't true with parkour clubs, then? I mean, if you feel paid jobs are just the same as parkour clubs, surely the translation of my point can be done logically... Doesn't matter if the deadline is 6 weeks, 12 weeks, or once a year: there's still an existent deadline. Circling back to my point about deadlines being a foundational element of what's considered a job, even the mere existence of a deadline changes the atmosphere of why parkour is done by adding an unnecessary filter on the sport. You see, in SwiftSmoky's days, parkour clubs had freedom to take as long as they'd like on constructing their montages, as, at least to my knowledge, there wasn't a written deadline they had to adhere to. Clubs became official because of the caliber of their tricks and secondarily the editing of their montages, and the amount of time between montages wasn't something that would make-or-break a club's chances at obtaining "Official" status. In today's times, however, especially aggregated by the existence of a set of cut-and-dry rules on what it takes to become an Official club, the title has become more of a symbol of completing the very-objective requirements. What I think we're all trying to get across is that because of the existence of checklist-styled rules when it comes to Parkour Club Support, Club Spectator Access, and all perks relating to becoming Official, there has inevitably become an unhealthy obsession with the rewards from participating in this sphere, and such overshadows the actual mode itself. The rewards, at the time they were created, were a great way of saying "thank you" to the hard-working parkourists that were able to, through their work, instill an enjoyment for a previously less popular part of this game, but now it has morphed into an ever-depleting motivation for continuing to build further on the infrastructure of this community. At the rate we're going, and with a collage of paints being one of the main pillars of the parkour community, it's only a matter of time before the boredom sets in, and these paints are no longer enough to keep people creating.

Freeze LC has officially been given out! ?
-
Okay skin, I don't use Paladin much but I'm not upset with it.
-
It appears all individual completion rewards have been given out. I got 45 Test Tubes and my Skin Container has been added. Freeze LC should be the next thing to be added, I assume it shouldn't take too long to receive at the point the reward sending operation is at.

Congratulations to my favorite @Adab on becoming a Chat Moderator candidate ?

How is it unfair? Everyone has the EXACT same odds of winning, no matter if they enter with a hundred accounts or a singular account…

valid Give GT Turret Skins A Special Texture (Similar to LC Skins)
Devoid replied to Devoid in Give GT Turret Skins A Special Texture (Similar to LC Skins) Ideas and Suggestions
There is such a low level of difference between the normal HD turret skins and their GT counterparts, basically only a bit of white/light gray added in place of the traditional dark gray-ish metal color. While I have not received one of these turrets' skins personally, I imagine the strong let down that it would likely ensue. For reference: I propose that something is done to further differentiate between GT and standard HD skins on the turrets that received one of these skins, similar to what the Developers did with the design of all LC skins. I would suggest something futuristic. Maybe a honeycomb texture of sorts? Or potentially something about it that resembles the Photon/Impulse/PCB paints, something digital-esque? Truly up to the Developers, but anything done to differentiate these skins would work wonders. It would also make sense to continue the same trend onto the collection of GT hulls as well, just so the skin collection as a whole maintains a uniformity. -
Sad to see the club's old montages seemingly vanish into thin air ?
-
It doesn't matter, they said that Test Tubes are moved over if a player switches factions. Say you have already claimed some of the missions, and you had 12 Test Tubes - Switching factions would grant your new faction those 12 Test Tubes, and remove them from your old faction.

I can't wait to be lit on fire while being stunned, having all my supplies vanish into thin air, have my protection modules rendered useless, and being unable to use my overdrive to have a slight sliver of a chance of surviving ? #NerfPulsar

When attempting to re-link a Twitch account to a game account via the "Account" tab of the Settings menu, after typing in Twitch login details, it says "Authorization failed. User already linked." as indicated by the picture below:
-
It appears the option in the "Account" tab of the Settings menu to use a Support-A-Creator code has been entirely removed... There's no way in Settings of using code "taspens" ?
-
Since the game has been down for so long, I was able to have my final Micro-Upgrade level of my Armadillo module finish without having to still play with the annoying non-9999 GS ?

They are planning on re-activating it in a few days, plus if you check the Tanki Fund Forum page, it was supposed to end on December 18th, but in this Forum topic, it states it'll last until the 27th...It's roughly the same amount of time the game has been down, a couple days off but at least we are not losing a significant quarter or so of the time anymore. Not to mention, with the rewards given in this Token of Apology, a significantly larger number of individuals have the number of Tankoins required to buy the cheapest Tanki Fund bundle, meaning it'll likely grow significantly more than it would've otherwise.
-
It's for everyone...I've been claiming the Token of Apology and all 6 of my accounts and each gives the Tankoin Pass.
-
Trick-or-Treat mini-game appears to be down (showed a bunch of errors, I logged out and says "SOON" in the middle of the screen like it before the event started)
-
Cue the people complaining about so few Lollipops, even though there was only a few days left of the event before the game went down and 30 is more than justifiable... Glad the game is finally up and running!
-
It's becoming concerning that we haven't received another update at all this week, especially considering the timeline they laid out for solving the problem in the video message...

What Is Your Opinion About the Current State of Tanki Online?
Devoid replied to Maf in Game Discussion
Provided the Developers are truthful in their accounts of DDoS attacks being the source of problems, I actually view that as the game having taken a good road (in terms of development) in recent times. At least to me, it makes sense to assume that whomever is doing the DDoS attacks is doing so out of a dissatisfaction of seeing the game succeed, and they are administering the attacks to try and end the route to success the game is on (via distracting Developers from continuing to refine the game). Maybe others will disagree, but this is my opinion on the matter, and it stems from an underlying satisfaction of how well I feel the game has been doing recently (things are balanced, it is not like a chore to play, etc.). -
With it warranting a Token of Apology being given out though it might honestly be more helpful than harmful...Just think, maybe some people are at 900 or so Tankoins, then with the Token of Apology, they cross the line in terms of Tankoins needed to buy the cheapest bundle, then that adds more Tankoins to the fund. Plus, I feel like people wanting to participate are still going to participate anyways, regardless of whether it takes them an extra day to buy into it because of server issues.
-
I mean, I would personally expect - and not to sound needy, petty, etc. here - that they will give out a separate, second Token of Apology (provided this downtime due to issues is similar in length of time to that of last week's problems) since they gave it out thinking their efforts to fix the issues had worked, when that evidently is not the case. Unfortunately for people in your same situation, where they have yet to claim the Token of Apology, it might continue to not be possible.
