I declare it invalid because you have zero posts :p I thereby announce that whosoever posts after me, the Announcer, shall be outlawed, disarmed of weapons and thrown in cold mountains because he dared to post. He cannot fight and is mute. This is not a dream, nor will someone rescue. (yeah, I posted. I doubt I'll do so again.)

170. I'd like to imagine mine is actually in around 130. Anyways I don't believe the kinds of questions these IQ tests ask actually relate to IQ. Like, really?

...and done. Turns out I'll write a third before this is published. Hah, joking, I shouldn't write this much.

Story [Issue 78] The Controlled Assassin
thethiefofvictory replied to thethiefofvictory in [Issue 78] The Controlled Assassin Newspaper Archive
“Assassin, you are here to kill the King, not to rob Sector Royalty of every single coin, every single thing worth anything! I repeat, do not go out of your way to steal. DO NOT risk the mission for money. We have more than enough as it is.” “Right.” “Also, Command’s finally sent a layout of the Palace. It’s bad news - you can’t enter through the front doors.” “Last time I checked there was no secret route in or out of the Palace. The King’s tunnels collapsed last week.” “Yes. Which means you will have to climb the building.” “Tell me one thing: why don’t we just teleport into his office and finish him off? Why can’t we frame someone?” “You’re not cleared to receive answers, assassin. Wait - James left his room. And I’ve received a note from Command, saying he’s going to Health and Cure. He's definitely not going for a cure, but to interrogate the doctor. Leave Royalty, now. Find and kill the doctor. Understood?” “Understood, sir.” The assassin’s fingers made their way into his ears and detached a small device. He looked into it, and vanished. The guards at the doors of the convention were not alarmed when a man appeared out of nowhere in front of them. Rather, they paid no attention, as if it was not odd to see someone teleporting. The guards opened the doors. The assassin walked through, and then ran down a narrow corridor illuminated with bright coloured lights. He found them to be disconcerting. It was not long before he came to a large room filled with people. He was not sure what was happening, or why these people were gathered here. He was not cleared to know that. What he did know was the art - as Deadcliff’s ruthless murderers called it - of assassination. He gazed at the people gathered in the room, trying to identify his target. One man looked like a nobleman who had a voice in government, and who, the assassin guessed, was indifferent to all but his own desires. Another, a frail old man, was followed by his son and two daughters. He smiled when he watched his children volunteer to serve the guests water. Another worked at Research as security, and received her orders directly from the captain of the Peacewatch. Her uniform said so, though not her words. Yet another was a nobleman who, unlike the other one, looked rather generous. Maybe a bit too much, he thought, based on the amount of people near him. The King would let him live even if he was guilty of treason. A man appeared out of nowhere, and then disappeared again. He heard his annoyance at teleporting to the wrong place. But before he vanished, he noticed a ring on his right index finger. A ring upon which was inscribed the word “Peace". He heard a scream. He turned and tried to search for the source but noticed that nobody else heard it. He felt a compulsion to move towards the stairs. He climbed, and from there gazed upon the people. At once he noticed a man in the uniform of a doctor. His target. The supposedly selfish nobleman he saw earlier vomited blood. He looked at his hands and the thing his left hand held, and hid them in his pockets. He felt a device, and removed it from his pockets. He looked at it, muttered, “Strategy dead. Page, assassinated. Conspiracy potentially compromised", and vanished. He reappeared in a room within a cave in Deadcliff. He could see the Pacific flowing through the cold mountains, and the many tourists nearby. None of them could see the assassin. There were two monitors in the room. One showed the mountains, and this he saw. The other was connected to a supercomputer so large it took a mountain to store it, and capable of computing human thought. It was one of very few in all of Peace. This screen showed the assassin, and a man behind him. The ring the latter wore revealed a seal, and beneath it a dagger. He saw a word inscribed. -
Oh, wow, I've already written another story, and my first one isn't yet published. May I post the new one right now?

Consider me a new face, please. Speaking of which, I should silence myself before I say too much. Also, isn't it supposed to be "whose alt are you"?

The doors of the War Palace were wooden. Made of fine brown wood, the finest Time had to offer. A species of tree went extinct as a result. The doors have never decayed, even as the millennia old building they guard falls apart, kept standing only by the pseudo-immortal robots patrolling its grounds. They know they’re the last of their kind. The assassin heard the sounds of swords colliding with each other. Of guns being fired and reloaded. Of screams, beckoning the young soldiers to train. All from behind the ancient fortress. The war was her creation. Someone promised her money to kill a noble and frame the royalty. She got her money, but her actions had unforeseen consequences. The war laid waste to the city. It’d take another century to rebuild it all. Most thought, and still think, of the war as punishment for the evils of the city’s residents. Was it? The building she stood before was the War Palace. The fortress of ancient tradition, built to protect the royalty, government and army. To fight. Its activation was the declaration of war. Its deactivation, the announcement that war has ended. Twenty years had passed. Two decades of war. Yet the War Palace remained devoid of life. Decaying. Dying. Nobody could dare challenge the hundreds of robots the city’s ancestors had built. If someone did, they would be chopped to pieces by the mindless hunks of metal, or shot or stabbed by one of the many factions fighting the war. The sky was black. The sun was nonexistent. So was the moon. It was afternoon. It would rain soon. A droplet of water fell upon her. Then another, and another. Then a thousand more. The river screamed and raged. It would flood soon. She heard gunshots, and screams. She heard swords, and smelt blood. Somewhere, two or more factions were fighting. Someone would see her soon, and kill her. She would rather die by the hands of the robots inside. Her hands reached the wooden doors of the War Palace, and pushed them open. Ten robots greeted her, smiling. Their white hands were swords and daggers that held guns. Their black eyes stared at her intently. They scanned everything. Her thoughts, memories, her DNA. She trembled with fear, for she knew this. It is impossible to fool the Protectors of the War Palace. She stared into their black, robotic eyes. She saw confusion. She heard the robots talking to each other. She did not understand their language, but she sensed that they did not know what to do. For once, they were lost. Then came the words that would define her fate, and theirs. “Target identified. Welcome. Long live the Queen! Long live the Royalty! Long live Peace!” She smiled. It worked.

Contest [Issue 76] Continue The Story - Final Chapter V
thethiefofvictory replied to Flexoo in Newspaper Archive
There were 4 entries in Chapter 4, which did NOT get extended. Five in Chapter 3, which got extended. Six, I think, in Chapter 5. Yet another month? Rather odd, I must say. Unless I've been disqualified, in which case I should go and fix the PoV. -

Oh, wow, since when did CtS become a place for advertisement of forum games?! -
How old are you and when did you start playing Tanki?
thethiefofvictory replied to TheTruth in Off-Topic Discussion
I believe even Tanki's first CM used to make such topics, so... I seriously doubt this is anywhere near forbidden. -

So, Person, you say you won't double post. That very post is a double, i.e you post after your own. THEN, you post twice more. So quadruple post. Claps. I'm surprised Conqueror hasn't entered yet. Let's hope he's too busy adding the final touches to his Writing Contest guide to enter here, we could all do with less competition :p -

That was @pringerfinger's. Person's was Vengeance. Grand's previous entries, including his two winners, were wonderful. I agree with your points, and Sacrifice was good (it can win first), but disappointing. I expected better from the Grand Executioner of the Thief's Victory. :p -
I predict that Crackdown 3 will be cancel... Oh wait. Tanki. In that case, I predict that there will be precisely 20 more paints than now by January 1, 2019. Before that same date, The GAME might end, and this little thief will not have ranked once. There will be at least five to ten more Crazy Weekends, I think. Also, @GrandExecutioner will be reporter, but then that's a forum thing.

Well there's been four CtS before, one of a different style so I guess there'll be more :d but I'd rather there's more. To each their own, I guess, but yes they should host more contests-that-don't-involve-writing. But don't ignore writing contests. Oh, and that I think should go to Newspaper Suggestions -
HD could do with less spam and more playing, especially more Tanking. Doesn't apply to me, of course heh But not such a bad situation. Assuming he bought on Steam, he can refund and use the $20 to buy some pretty good games. I hope he can play old singleplayer games and modern 2Ds, else oh well...
-
You better refund that now and get something else ASAP (Rocket League might be a good suggestion if you're into multiplayer), that is if you bought on Steam. Else, well i'm not sure.

He didn't realize a thing until Alexis revealed the dagger, heh. Not quite a very good conspiracy leader eh? As for your predictions, are they your personal preferences or a prediction of what Flex and his judges and lawyers, if there are any, will think? I like Person's story, but Grand, as I said before, disappointed me. Too much of the spying and missions and stuff. I don't think he'll be first. Also Person and Parkour and everybody else, don't double post. If you have something more to say, edit your post to add that. If someone else has already posted in that time, then ok. -
Do teach me about derivatives! I've taken an internet lesson on limits so I too can do some basic limits questions.

Well you sure can win, or at least be second :p -
Meanwhile, a certain summer-loving penguin with a knack for stealing victory just purchased Half-Life 1heh Anyways, congratulations and welcome to the HD Royale crew! Me, I don't much like multiplayer, but I'll get Fortnite once I get a new laptop, which is likely years away heh Also, is this tailor dragon position actually the talon or what?

Am I the only one who doubts Grand will win? He's never disappointed me before, after all :P Not only that, but I sense there's an unwritten rule that people who contribute one part for CtS cannot win the next part, or at least not first. I've been around since before The Grand Offensive, after all, even if I was a noob back then :p
