If you write well enough you will win. -
Me - Person_random Hammer M1 (7/10) Firebird M1 (10/10), Freeze M2 (2/10) Viking M1 (4/10), Wasp M1 (9/10) Hornet M2 UTC-8 Jumper for now (time to learn to follow directions) I do not curse. I've never done space except this one time, so I'm going to learn. Ok, here we go: 1k. I try to have respect for people, so let's say 8. Given that I am very inexperienced, it will probably not go down since I have a lot to learn about parkour. Unless I get mad, it might be a 6.5. But I didn't get mad after XP battle, so yeah.

Tanki Personalities 1. Rage Quitter Everyone can relate to this, so no further explanation. Fun Fact: this is sometimes me So anyway, when this person joins a battle, he/she expects to be on the winning team and finish with a brilliant 2.0 D/L. But when things turn sour, this person rages and starts getting mad at people and posting weird things on the in-game chat, especially when they are repeatedly slaughtered. Then this person quits. Build: Any, can be a supply user 2. Squealer [no image on file] The person who thinks that everyone is cheating because their equipment is worse than everyone else or they suck. So this person also complains a lot that he/she can't get the kill, sometimes because their teammates are annoying and steal the kill at the last second. This person hates supply users and especially despises using supplies unless in really extreme cases. If you see one of these tankers, tell them to get a Pro Pass and join a no supply battle. Build: Usually a light or medium hull. Plays unskillfully with a mid/long range weapon (smoky, Rico, twins, railgun, thunder, etc.) The Squealer uses supplies rarely. 3. The EXP hungry tanker This person is desperate to level up as fast as possible, so they do anything to get a high battle score. They usually have talent though, unlike squealers and rage quitters (note: not all of those rage quitters are bad - they might have too many mults and noobs on their team) Build: Usually a light hull and Isida (more exp for healing) and burns through tons of supplies. 4. Annoying Guy #1 (commonly seen in M1/M2 battles) Not annoying if on your team. If this person is on the other side, then they are annoying. This person usually tries to inflict as much damage as possible, but this person is kind of hard to kill. Build: Mostly heavy hull and Vulcan (most of the time) or short range weapon (freeze mostly). Likes using repair kits when about to die. 5. Annoying Guy #2 "I'm dying!" "It's mine!" (sorry for bad art skills. I tried) Super annoying if on your team. The one guy who steals flags under their teammates' noses and captures them all the time. (The flag sitter) Also, another thing that this tanker does is that he/she steals repair kits when a teammate is at half health, and they have full health. Hardly ever quits battles. Build: Any. Probably doesn't know how to use supplies. 6. XP/BP Hopeful (Most people have M2) Super good at everything, including smart supplies. People kind of hate this person for stealing their kills or having this guy against your team. I guess they are more prevalent in lower rank battles because there are fewer Pro Battles. Build: XP/BP (in case you didn't read the title) Sometimes uses supplies. 7. Gold Box Hunter #1 "Easy Crystals" This person desperately wants Gold even if they have a lot of crystals. Usually, the tanker who ends up getting the Gold Box. This person also reads guides to get better at gold box catching. Build: Dictator and (insert turret here) 8. Gold Box Hunter #2 "Gold Box Will Be Dropped Soon" "Where is it?!?" A failed Gold Box hunter like most of us tankers. Hardly ever finds Gold Box drop zones, but finally manages to see them on Cosmonautics Day (or however you spell it). Too late. They died. But when they find the drop zone, they are usually beaten to it. On the rare occurrence that they get to the drop zone first, they are the one that gets killed at the site. Build: Whatever. Some buy dictator, and some don't. Don't want to use supplies when gold box drops. 9. The Tanker Who Carries the Team (TotaIly Not Referencing Someone) Incredibly talented at using supplies. Has that fantastic D/L that all their teammates (and enemies) admire. Almost always at the top. Usually captures a lot of flags in surprising ways. Not usually a permanent personality unless super skilled. An average, ordinary tanker can hold this personality once in a while. I get this every so often. Build: Any, sometimes a supply user. 10a. The Noob and Failure of the Team [no image on file] A few steps below an average tanker. Hardly gets the kill in battles. Also, the one person who keeps dying in DM. Sometimes, this person can move up to the ranks of an average player on an auspicious day. Build: Any. Probably needs a tutorial to using supplies. 10b. Target [also no image on file] The guy who is shot first by everyone on the other team. Once he's not a ghost, he's dead. Like that. Build: Any. Has a piece of paper that says "Hit me" on the back of tank. ;) Check regularly to make sure you aren't one of these people. 11. Annoying Guy #3: Mr./Ms. Sumo Sabotage The other Annoying Guy I forgot to name and I also didn't want to redo all my numbers. So it's here. This tanker loves to use impact turrets (twins/rico) to shoot people on their team. Likes to photobomb shaft shots and make people miss aim. Other favorites: shooting the flag carrier in CTF (and probably the guy with the ball in RGB) and shooting their teammates off the map. Pray that you don't get this one on your team. Build: Impact turrets. I don't know if these people want to use supplies, but most likely not. 12. The Tryhard (note: Different from exp hungry) (What I would have been if I had more crystals) This person tries too hard. The name says so itself. That would sometimes be me. Sometimes uses supplies to increase their score and D/L in a match. Also known as the person who tries to capture many flags and look like the hero. It's a losing battle now for tryhards. According to my studies, tryhards only get benefits during the holidays, where some special thing or other is happening. While people are admiring nice paints, tryhards focus on battles. They win only in those situations. Well, at least they aren't #11. They're actually helping their team. Build: All and any. Lucky Paint: Holiday 13. Annoying Guy #4:The Evil Drugger-Targeter (Disclaimer: That guy was a Wasp-Shaft) He's just a pain for one person, which would be you. Annoying tanker who always hits one person (mostly 10b guy, but sometimes 12 and top of leaderboard opposing. Always has drugs ready to use and a trusty overdrive under his sleeve. Really hard to kill, that's what I'm saying. This one person hates me so much and killed me 10 times in Barda CP. If he was somewhere else, I would have had a 7.50 D/L or something good but he ruined it. Build: Any. Buyer and drugger (always DD equip and RK on hand) Also usually a camper since less places to be hit. Uses Metallic to disguise crazy equipment. 15. The Sabotager "Need those stars!" "Aw, come on!" (Shoves other tanker) You may think that this is a repeat, but that is not true. However, this sabotager likes to take advantage of low ranks in his team. So when the heat of War comes, he is eager to flip his opponents over to earn a higher score. P.S. They'll have to self-destruct, so they'll lose points! Build: Smoky-Hornet. (While I'm not trying to discriminate, that guy had that build, so yeah) 16. The Chatterbox (Secret Sabotager) (image coming soon) All he does is type useless stuff in the battle chat, from stock quotations (randomness from P.R.) and debit cards to getting gold boxes from admin, even if his team is losing 7-0. Build: Who Cares?!? Oh wait, he just wants a fast internet and a nice keyboard to train his typing skills. Which one are you? (And plus, if you have one I don't have on here, please comment below to have your personality shown as well!) Tanks for reading!

TANKI=LIFE Ep.2 (D/L in depth)
Person_Random replied to Person_Random in TANKI=LIFE Ep.2 (D/L in depth) Writers' Corner
Tanki=Life In-depth: D/L Ratio is like your GPA (a 4.0 is like a 1.00 D/L, if you haven't already guessed). If you are a good player, reading this is a joke. :D When I started Tanki as a noob loser a while back, I didn't know how to do anything except run away from the enemy tanks. (Not true) At least, that's what I've been told. So then people would kindly "help" me by playing for me. And back then my D/L was in the 0.20s (I think). One day, I got the computer to myself. During those hours, I ranked up from a loser private to a Staff Sergeant, increasing my D/L to about 0.60. I still remember (this was about a year ago) that I had about 900 kills and 1500 deaths. Then I stopped playing Tanki for about a year. Then one day, I got back to Tanki after I realized there was an HTML5 version (No, I didn't watch any V-logs) found out that Flash worked on my new computer. After logging back on, I played for a few weeks and became a First Sergeant. That was when I really started to pay attention to my D/L. TOO LATE! My D/L was virtually unsaveable, like the failed finals in school that drop grades to B's. (Like my math grade in 8th grade - the teacher made a new assignment every three weeks) Like any other determined gamer, I was hoping to get that D/L up to 1. But that would take a good amount of work, and with people judging me whenever I played, that would only increase the pressure of maintaining a good D/L without becoming a pathological drugger. I finally started to get better when I began to play while studying for bio finals when nobody started judging me. (By the way, I only missed one question, and the smartest person in the class missed eight). Anyways, during that time, I had some great battles. (Mostly on Forest CTF - my favorite map) That brought my D/L up to what it is now: 0.83 as of 6/4/18. A D/L ratio is kind of like your GPA. In the beginning, a poor battle could make it plummet, and an excellent battle could rocket it up past 2.00. But after the Sergeant Ranks, it's pretty much unsaveable. Unless you are in the late 0.90s, where it can probably be fixed (if you are extremely skilled and lucky) Why is a D/L so hard to fix (to a 1.00, if you don't have one, that is)? Well, imagine the GPA. If you have all A's but one C, that brings it down to a 3.67. With one F, that's a 3.33. If you have to get a 4.0, I guess you have to ace a few AP classes to bring it back up! Likewise, you'll have to play several games with a D/L above 1.00. This is where it gets hard. Suppose there's a Third Lieutenant with 10000 kills and 15000 deaths. That's a difference of 5000 more deaths than kills. And say this tanker's goal is to get a 1.00 D/L. And let's also suppose he's really lucky and gets 15 kills and 10 deaths in every battle. This will take about 1000 battles to finish, if this player actually maintains his goal. Well, in my case, I have a difference of about 4926-4089=837 kills to make up. 837/5= 167.4, meaning I have to play around 167 battles to get my D/L up to 1, if I can get 15/10 every battle. If you'll excuse me, I've got a quite a few hours of Tanki to play. Update: now I have a difference of 5294-4575=716 kills. -
