I get where everyone is coming from. The fact that Tanki only used to give cosmetic items as a buyer-exclusive commodity and is now giving them an inherent advantage in terms of game play seems quite unfair. But if you look at the big picture, this seems like a gross overreaction. First of all, I know what pretty much everyone is thinking right now as they read this "Oh, he's a helper ergo he sides with the administration, pfft" and all I have to say is: No. I'm not speaking as a helper of the game, I am speaking as a player who has played this game for the better part of a decade. And thus, my viewpoint is entirely subjective to what I have seen and what I think, not what I am and who I am affiliated to. Now, lets get down to business. I have a few talking points that I will try to summarize in few comprehensible paragraphs. 1. Tanki is not alone Tanki is by no means the first game to give away game-play advantages to the part of their community that are willing to open their wallets, and is by no means the biggest game to do so. Other popular MMO games like War Thunder and World of Tanks are both tank-based PC games that are far more guilty of the verdict when it comes to favoring their patrons. In fact, Tanki seems more of a saint in comparison. War Thunder, for instance, is a free-to-play WW2 simulator that is massively popular among the F2P community in Steam and other platforms. Yet, it sells whole product lines of exclusive items to their patrons that gives them a far more advantageous (in terms of game play) experience than their F2P counterparts. They offer entire tanks that can only be purchased via real life currency while our game merely offers an alteration for a rarely-used turret. 2. Who will be affected? Take a deep breath, keep and open mind and think. Who will get affected by this? And to what extent? How many people you know are willing to spend 100$ to get a skin and an alteration? You'd be lucky to even spot one in your games. Let's say there are two people in the battle with this alteration, 12.5% of the battle that don't necessarily have a more powerful alteration than others, they just have an alteration that others can't obtain (unless they pay for it). Now, if you're anywhere older than 8 years old, you should know that 87.5% is more than 12.5% and thus the effect will hardly make a difference. Not to mention that playing with Vulcan in the first place is a challenge in and of itself, and performing well, not just with this alteration, but in general is going to be a lot more troublesome that it may seem. 3. It's an alteration, not the Messiah A key part to having a constructive debate is to realize what we're debating. Most of the replies on this topic are debating whether Tanki has fully gone to the dark side and straight up gave buyers an unruly weapon of mass destruction to use to flatten every F2P player they encounter. Sounds a bit silly when you say it like that, no? ? The correct argument to be made is "Why would they get an alteration that we cannot obtain through regular grinding?" and we'll get to this question later on. But for now, let's focus on the issue at hand. It won't be an overstatement to say that alterations changed the landscape of turrets and who>who, some turrets are meh without their alts, and some are better off when played without them. But all-and-all, each turret has their unique element which makes for a diverse and enjoyable gaming experience. However, it is, after all, an alteration. It alters the way the turret operates without compromising its basic uniqueness which defines the turret itself. Vulcan with this new alteration is just a more bouncy Vulcan, and understanding that is very important. If Tanki, let's say, made the new floating hull "Ares" a buyer-only item, then you could go on about ranting how the Devs turned to the dark side ? 4. Tanki is not just a game, it's a business One thing that usually gets overlooked when updates like this roll out is that Tanki doesn't favor its patrons more because they're evil, greedy or "want to ruin this game", they favor them because that's how they get food on their tables. People seem to forget that the developers, CMs, programmers, designers, and various other staff currently employed at Tanki HQ aren't volunteers, they're employees trying to make a living for themselves and their families. And Tanki has to provide for those people otherwise there will be no game in the first place. And the only way Tanki can do this is through in-game purchases made by players. These 'buyers' are what keeps this running. And with that in mind, it's only natural TO would want these players to have a memorable and enjoyable experience playing this game. That is why they offer exclusive skins, color shots, paints, and now, alterations. 99% of games do this. In closure... I understand where a lot of people are coming from. They are frustrated and feel a sort of betrayal happening to the game they love. But when you think about the negligible effect this alteration will have, the balance-updates soon to come and the hard work everyone is doing to make sure this game stays a fun experience for all those willing to stay by its side, everything will balance out and sit in a neat, colorful and delightful game that we've all come to know and love.

Gauss has Prime which looks rather wicked ?

This is a bug that happens here and there. Similar to the zero-damage bug that you sometimes get after lagging a littlle, reloading will fix the problem.

I'm very glad that you like it While I'm not personally familiar with Hippin_in_Hawaii, from your description I can tell he's the type of writer I can only aspire to be like. I'm still very new to this whole thing and while I appreciate the comparison I can hardly spot similarities ? As for the story, writing the next part is going to prove a lot more challenging since I first have to write a convincing script that to some extent depicts Hell without crossing over to the gore/extreme violence genre, and second I'm gonna have to come up with a satisfying conclusion (?) to this mini-series. Anyhow, I'll try my best and I hope you've all enjoyed this series so far ?
-
Thank you! I'm really glad you like it. As for the second person POV I'm having a lot of mixed emotions about it but it helps narrating and as a beginner, I'mma take all the help I can get ? For those of you who aren't aware, this is part two of the story. It's a sequel to Regret in Heaven which was already released. I hope everyone enjoys :3 PS: I gladly take constructive criticism. So if you find flaws I'd be happy to hear them and improve my writing. Thank you!

Trials of Heaven - Sorrow in Heaven
natrolite replied to natrolite in Trials of Heaven - Sorrow in Heaven Writers' Corner
You were sound asleep as you feel a pleasant breeze brushing against your skin. You slowly open your eyes as you find yourself in a green, open field in the late afternoon sheltered by a clear, starry sky. You don't know how you got there, but you don't want to leave. You feel relieved here as if all the pain that weighed on your shoulders has been lifted, and you were reborn. You see the green fields on the left and the green fields on the right. A fading rainbow in the distance and the rosy fields under the rainbow late in the rainy season. To the front of you stands a lonely tree that rests upon a lonesome hill. Under the tree, blossomed flowers with colors for the eye to behold, from white and pink daisies to crimson roses. And right in the middle, next to the tree trunk, sat the most beautiful flower of them all. Her skin was as clear as ice and her eyes glimmered blue, that of a cloudless summer sky. Her hair shone yellow as that of the sun and she wore a silk white robe with golden embroidery, which complemented her velvet hair. Each glance at her felt rewarding. You start to walk towards her as every fiber in your body keeps telling you to do so. You felt as if you could cross oceans and climb rigorous mountains should she demand it. As you start to walk up the hill, your legs begin to cry out as you become more and more weary with each step you take. "This isn't even a steep hill, and I just woke up from resting. How come?" You think to yourself. By the time you reach the top of the hill, you're beaten down by fatigue, all sweaty and on your knees desperate for a breath of air. "Congratulations, not many make it this far". She uttered with an ever-so-soft voice that nearly washed away all your unrest, or at least made you forget about it. Her divine beauty rendered you speechless as you battled your brain to form a single "Hello", but eventually failing to do so. "If you don't mind. How about we go take a walk?" She asked, her tone seemed a little rougher than before, albeit still treacly to hear. And so, the two of you begin to walk down the hill. You start to perceive the distinct oddness of your situation as you wonder "Who is this woman? Where am I? How did I get here?" "Say, Nathan. Do you like it here?" She asks. "You know my name? Who are you?" you reply. "I will answer all your questions once we reach the valley. But for now, humor me as we walk". "The valley? What are you talking about?" you answer with a troubled tone. And right then, you notice a scar on her neck. "Yes, the valley. You'll know when we get there. For now, mind answering my question?" She says as she put out a gentle smile. "Fine, I suppose I do like this place. It doesn't hurt in here". You respond. And you walk, as the sun sets in the distance, you see the mountains with rivers running through them as if they were veins, running and feeding the mountainside with life. You see the roofs of the little abandoned towns at the bottom of the mountain, and the hillsides yellow with wild oats. And then you say "This is it, this is the valley". And she says "Just a little farther". And you go on, and you hear the quail calling out in the mountain behind you, the crescent moon slowly rising above you and bats hovering around a palm tree by the springs of the river. Stars begin to emblazon the clear skies up above, and you say "Let's stop here, this is it". And she says "A little farther yet". As the sun begins to dawn on the horizon, you stop and say "Can we rest here? I'm a little worn out". She turns around to you, looking faint, pale with dark circles underneath her comely blue eyes. And she says, "Drink this water of the spring, rest here a while. We have a long way yet to go, and I can't go on without you". After hearing that, you quickly fell asleep as you were exhausted from the trip thus far. You woke up hours later to the songs of robins, leaves dancing in the wind and squirrels going nuts for nuts. "Morning! Have you slept well?" You hear to the right of you. You turn around to find her sitting near the spring, with her bare feet in the river. You approach her as you find her silky white robe has been torn from its lower end, exposing a birthmark on her knees. "Are you okay? Why is your robe torn? Haven't you slept?" You ask out of concern. "I'm fine. My robe just got stuck in a log while I was wandering around earlier". She says, with the same gentle smile she's always had. You sigh and say "You should be careful next time. Luckily you didn't get cut. Also, we've been walking together for over a day, and I still don't know your name, why I'm here, or anything about where we're headed". "I told you, didn't I? You will have all your answers once we reach the valley". At this point, you become a little flustered, but you agree to keep moving. The two of you press on. The snowy mountain, the gorgeous hillsides, and the clear springs begin to fade on the horizon behind you as you start to enter grasslands that extend as far as the eye can see. The skies are partly cloudy and there's hardly any beauty to go around. Unlike the more picturesque landscape, you roamed previously. You look towards your companion and notice grey stripes of hair lurking between the yellow velvet hair strolling down her head. You've been noticing her slowly looking more and more iller the further you walk. You want to ask her about it but you know she'll still respond with the same response she gave to all your previous questions. She suddenly says, "So, how about you tell me about your old life? Did you have any regrets? Did you reach your goals? Marry the one you wanted?" "Woah, where did this come from," you think to your self. "Well, I regret many things. I never asked out the girl I want, because I was too afraid of rejection. I didn't get the chance to say farewell to my mother before she passed away. I preferred staying at home rather than going out with mates, family and my children. But in the end, I think I lived a good life". You stop walking. You grasp a deep breath of air as you think to yourself "Wait, where the heck did that come from. Lived? I'm still alive! Why am I talking as if I died? And why am I telling these private secrets to this person?!" She turns around, you see wrinkles beneath her eyes and on her forehead as she says with her dry lips "That's very unfortunate. Don't you think? You'll never be able to re-do these things the right way. You can only feel sorry for yourself as you recall these occurrences in a self-defeating hindsight perspective". Disgruntled, you say "You're being a little bit too audacious with how you speak to me. Are you aware of that? I picked my own paths in life and you're in no position to tell me I was wrong". She yet again puts on a kind smile as she says "Perhaps if you acknowledge these obscure worldly sorrows, you could attain wisdom that would maybe facilitate your future endeavors, no?" "Whatever. Let's just reach our destination so I could catch a ride home or something". You said with a clearly annoyed tone. The grasslands you once walked have turned into a paved road surrounded by a lifeless scorching desert. A buzzard soaring in the empty sky, looking for prey as crows observe from a distance, hoping for some leftovers. At the end of the road, you notice a concrete jungle of which the road tears through its middle. As you get nearer and nearer you start to notice familiar sights. The Subway where you used to grab lunch on your way to work. The grocery store at which you frequently used to buy cigarettes from. The more sights you see the more you recognize until you finally snap and shout out loud "Is this my city block?!" "Took you a while to realize" She muttered. "Why are we here?! Did you know this was our destination?" You question, loudly. "Of course I did. It's my mission to guide you here." She replied. As soon as you're done looking around, you turn around to her and notice her back is bent over, like that of an elderly person. Her hair gray as a cloudy sky and her skin stretched and wrinkly. She's not the resonant beauty she was when you first saw her. "W-What happened to you?" You say, barely getting the words out. "Oh, well. Life". She says, putting on her usual kind smile. "Life doesn't make you age 40 years in less than two days". You say in disbelief. "Doesn't it? Do you only define aging by physical appearance? Didn't you become the man of your family after your mother passed away? You took care of your little sisters and brother as if you were their father". "How do you know that?" You ask. "Oh, let's just pretend I know everything about you. Come on then, we have a lot more to see". "Who are you?" You ask. "All your questions will be answered in due time, come along now". "I said who are you". You insist. You're not shy to be rude with her since she's not the ravishing flower you met before. "Calm down, Nathan. There is no reason for you to get uppity". Angered, you say "I'm not moving one foot before I get answers". "Oh, I see". This is the first time she doesn't wear her mellow smile, and it made you worrisome. She stares at you with a fearsome face, and after a few brief moments of silence, she introduces herself: "I am the melancholy that precedes the righteous dawn. I am that which commands ego and kneels before retribution. I am the darkness that exists at the bottommost depth of a bottomless pit. I laugh at Glee and fret over the Dream. I am which you desperately flee from but always end up in its claws. I am the fifth trial of Heaven and the Gatekeeper of The Gate of Sorrow. I am Sorrow." You shiver, tremble and fright as you take a step back. "What in the blazes are you talking about?" you say with a shaky voice. "When humans are happy, they stray far from God, yet when they are trapped in the sea of suffering, they seek God or spirituality and look for help and hope for divine intervention. It's funny, isn't it? No one really realizes that for there to be Happiness, Sorrow must follow suit. Just like for there to be day, night must always befall. "That's not one bit funny. Everything would be okay if there was no crime, natural disasters, wars, hate, long queues at Starbucks and sorrow. Life would be so perfect. Just think about it! It's meaningless and if there was an Omnipotent God, he should perhaps re-think his design flaws". You say, as your voice shakes and anxiety takes over. "Life always starts out beautiful. And to keep that beauty in perspective, one must learn what being in pain, losing someone, being unloved and unwanted, etc.. feels like. If one is unable to acknowledge Sorrow, then they will not be able to attain the wisdom to comprehend Heaven's value". She asserts. "Our journey should've taught you this. You did not appreciate the beauty of the mountains and the hillsides until you walked the scorching desert. You did not cherish my impermanent grace until you witnessed me get old and wrinkly. For there to be happiness, there must be suffering. You cannot wonder at the glamour of the stars in the sky without acknowledging the night that surrounds them. Do you understand now?" You take a minute to grasp what she said. "No". You said underneath your breath. "What was that?" She asked. "NO! That's just stupid! No hostage grows to love their kidnapper. Don't give me that "Misery gives Happiness meaning" crap! It's madness! Happiness is meaning itself. People don't make other peoples' lives miserable to make them appreciate life and its fruits better, they make their lives miserable because they are just awful. Nothing more. No parent would ever pray their child to grow a wrinkly skin, weaken their bones, dim their vision and cripple them in a hundred ways to give their life meaning." Silence grows as tension builds and after a few moments, she speaks. "By divine decree, those who are not wise and cannot attain wisdom shall not enter The Sacred City. I, Sorrow, the Fifth Gatekeeper of Heaven and holder of the key of Sorrow, hereby condemn you to descend to perdition, never to rise again". As she finished saying that, five red-hot chains burst from the concrete ground and latched onto your arms, feet, and head. You screamed for help as you looked over to watch her weeping face as she watched without moving a muscle. "HELP ME! PLEASE!" You shouted out the top of your lungs, but she didn't reply. Then, the chains started pulling down as your terror reaches its peak and leaves you with no words and nothing but a terrified look on your face as you anticipate your impending doom. The deeper the chains drag you, the more distant the surface light appears until it's reduced to a mere constellate of light rays you will miss for eternity. Your consciousness starts to fade the deeper you go as the air begins to thicken. Your last thought before fainting, "I'm sorry". **** You wake up and your entire body feels sore from sleeping on bedrock. You can hear distant screaming, everything is putting you at unease. A dark figure approaches you from your side and speaks out: "I hope you enjoyed your sleep. You won't be getting any in quite some time, Nathan". -
Do you use the English alphabet? Perhaps certain characters from other alphabets don't show up because they're not supported. For example, you can't write in Arabic (in the Flash version, at least) because its alphabet isn't supported. As far as I'm concerned, I've never had this problem.
-
The HTML version is by no means finished. There are still a lot of improvements and optimizations before it's considered finished. Just today in the VLOG they announced that they're working on a new in-game font that would make reading in-game nicknames easier, and I reckon that's not the only thing they're brewing up. As of this moment, I much prefer the Flash client (despite it crashing every now and then) over the HTML version because it simply looks and feels better. I'm certain the developers are aware that many players feel the same way I do and they won't rest until HTML is superior to Flash not just from a practical standpoint, but also visually. I just wanted to point that out ^.^ As for the subject of this topic, I completely agree with Maf. It's almost rare to see someone without a skin in their garage nowadays. When animated paints were first released it was pretty much the coolest thing you could get, but now it's just... meh. Skins will also meet this fate, one day. For now they're still considered a commodity and a kind of special thing to have in your garage. However, sooner or later there will be an abundance of skins and it will seize to have any sort of novelty it enjoys now.

Thank you! I've very glad to be here! I did consider that as well when I first drafted the rough script. The first person perspective would've immersed the reader further into the story, but in the end I thought it would be best if I write it in in the second person perspective to be able to serve certain plot points and future plot points as well >.> Noted! Thank you! As for your question, wherever 'Nathan' is mentioned, it is the sphere addressing him directly. Hope that cleared it up. I really appreciate it ? As things stand, I do indeed want to write further editions of Nathan's story, but I have no idea how to write them yet ? Hopefully I'll come up with something when motivation strikes :3

I drew inspiration for this story from this video. Although the premise is similar, the direction at which the story drives at is hardly comparable. With that said, this is my first attempt at doing something like this. So you'll have to excuse the poor formatting and the sub-par structure. I hope you enjoy! ? PS: I made some minor changes to the plot. Instead of Desire, the next gate will be Sorrow.

Trials of Heaven - Regret in Heaven
natrolite replied to natrolite in Trials of Heaven - Regret in Heaven Writers' Corner
You were sound asleep as you feel a bright light shine against your eyelids and it's making you uncomfortable. You slowly open your eyes as you find yourself in a white space. The bleached sky meets with the white earth forming a monochrome scene, the horizon unnoticeable. Almost, infinite. "Wha- Where am I? How did I get here?" You think to yourself as you stand up to investigate. But you're a little hesitant, you don't know why, but you just want to get back to sleep. Wearily, you look around the room, yet all you find is a bright white color. It's not blinding to look at, and it's not what's making you uncomfortable. You keep looking. You look right, left, up and down and in front of you but all you find is emptiness. Then you hear a sound coming from behind you, whispering "I'm here". You've heard this sound countless times before, yet you can't seem to recognize it. You look over your shoulder, and you find a sphere-like being. Its color grey, sad as if it was an incomplete painting. It was... missing something. "Come closer," it said. You start walking towards it, as your discomfort rises and you start to feel this faint voice inside of you that tells to stop and go back to sleep. As you've finally reached the sphere, with an annoyed tone it says "My my, you finally came. Shame must've done a number on you, huh?" you're very confused at this point, "Who are you? Who's Shame? Where am I?!" "Ahh, nevermind, let's just get this done with" it replies. It goes silent for a minute, which barely helps to ease your tension. "You've died, Nathan," it says. "Umm, beg your pardon?" you reply. "You died about two weeks ago, the result of a car crash". As it says that, you recall the vague memory of a rainy night, you were late from work and you were texting your wife telling her you're going to be a little late for dinner. And as you were doing that, you caught the glimpse of a stranded dog crossing the street. You remember turning your steering wheel to avoid hitting the animal, and that's where the memory ends. "So, am I dead? What about my wife, my kids, my friends!?" you ask with a distressed tone. "Don't worry about them, they're fine. Everything will be fine". You can't explain it, but you trust this sphere, it's almost as if you've known it your entire life. "Now, Nathan, you're probably wondering who I am, and why I sound familiar to you". "Y-yeah. That and many other questions". Softly, it introduces itself; "I am Regret, Nathan. I represent the fourth gate of Heaven". "Right, but seriously. Who are you?" you wryly ask. "I just told you. I am the personification of Regret. I am the fourth of nine gates of which you need to pass to enter The Garden". Mockingly, you say "The Garden, as in, Eden? LOL. Can I speak to your manager?" "Ah great, one of those." It murmurs. "What was that?" you say, "Nothing, umm. I'm afraid God is indisposed right now" it replies with a serious, roiled tone. You begin to question yourself. You think to yourself; What's this thing talking about? Regret? God? Heaven!? I've never believed in any of that! Is this the Afterlife? "No, this is the entrance to the Afterlife," it says, with an arrogant tone. "Wh-How did you know what I was thinking?!" with a shocked look on your face. "Nathan, I know everything about you. Every thought you've ever had. Every girl you wanted to ask out, but didn't. Every New Year's Resolution you set but abandoned the following week. I've been that voice inside your head every time you wanted to do something but didn't. I am every "What if" you've ever said to yourself in remorse to what could've been, but never happened", it replies. You're speechless at this point. You begin to feel your body hair rise as shivers creep through your spine and out to your arms and feet. Your sarcastic and taunting attitude fades away as you ask "Alright. And what am I doing here? What are these "Gates of Heaven" you speak of?" "They are trials you need to pass before stepping foot in The Garden. There are nine trials you need to pass before you enter God's city. I am the fourth trial, Regret" it responds. "Fourth?" you say. "Yes, you've already passed three gates; Glee, Despair, and Shame. You don't remember them, and you will forget me as well if you pass my gate, but you will remember everything if you pass the final gate, the gate of Love". With a concerned voice, you ask "And what if I don't pass?" The sphere says "Well, ever heard of Dante's Inferno?". You say, in a confident voice "Yeah, it's a videogame I used to play". Dumbfounded, the sphere says "Wha - Videoga - look. If you fail to pass any of Heaven's Gates, you will then have to go through Hell (no pun intended) which is depicted as nine circles of torment. It is the realm of those who have rejected spiritual values and morals by surrendering to bestial appetites or violence, or by perverting their human intellect to fraud, malice, and mischief against their kith and kin". With a shocked, horrified tone, you ask, "So, if I fail any of the gates I will be sent to the underworld?" "Yes, the gates are aspects of human nature where one must reminisce, atone for and appreciate to attain the wisdom and empathy needed to walk The Garden" the sphere explains. "Aspects?" you ponder. "Yes, they are Glee, Despair, Shame, Regret, Sorrow, Desire, Fear, Hate and finally, Love." Worried, you ask "But why are there more gates that reflect negative aspects than those that reflect positive ones?" "Well, human nature is defined by grief. Grief gives joy perspective. Negative emotions have a greater impact on your being than positive ones. You humans even have more words for negative emotions than positive ones, and richer vocabulary to describe them. And the more exposure you're revealed to, the wiser and more appreciative you are of the better things in life." You slowly take it in, realizing how you remember the negative mishaps more vividly and lucidly than positive ones. "Okay, I understand now. So, what sort of trial will I need to overcome to pass this gate?" "Well..." the sphere said, as you began to notice images inside the sphere, distant memories of a life you once had. Your first time walking, your first date, your graduation. Everything that happened to you, the good and the bad. Wondering if you could've done more. Ate more. Played more. Went out more. Loved more. The years of your life passed through as you watched all the times you stayed in bed because you were too tired. All the times you wanted to ask Sarah out but didn't dare to speak to her. The last time you saw your mother before she suffered a sudden heart failure and couldn't make it. "I wanted to embrace her at least once more. If not, at least a goodbye to ease my mind" you thought to yourself. "So", the sphere said. You didn't reply. "What was the point in life?" It asked. But you didn't reply. "Did you become the person you wanted to be?" The sphere asked. Again, you didn't reply. As memories kept flashing before you. You want to turn away, but you can't. Your body isn't responding. "FINE! Please, just make it stop!" you scream, agony in your voice. "What was the point in life?" the sphere asks. "No..." you reply, as your voice begins to shake. "I just kept living and there was so much to worry about," you say. "And there wasn't enough time!" you start to raise your voice. "Oh, there was enough time." The sphere calmly responded. "You just wasted most of it," disappointed, the sphere said. "Given the opportunity, would you do it differently?" the sphere asked. "Ye-Yes. I would! I would treat my wife better. I would love my kids more. I won't buy anything in the Steam sales. I would go out with friends more. I would do so many things differently, I swear!" you said, as you wiped your tears. "No. No, you wouldn't" the sphere said. "But it's okay. Now you know where you went wrong. And that's what matters. Now, you might want to step back a little." "Why?" You ask. Just then, the ground starts shaking. A bright white light begins to seep from the now broken ground. This light is blinding to look at. From the ground, large pillars of limestone surrounding a pearly jade gate rise from the fractured land, its height is that of a two-story building. It shines as bright as a sapphire. A ladder leading to its center, where a lock etched with writings was. And the writings spoke: "Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death." The sphere says, "Do you understand what this means?" "Yes, I... I hope," you reply. Then, a jade key that matches that of the gate appears as the sphere says "Whenever you're ready, pass the gate. And begin the trial of Sorrow". Jittering, you open the lock... *** You were sound asleep as you feel a pleasant breeze brushing against your skin. You slowly open your eyes as you find yourself in a green, open field sheltered by a clear, starry night sky...- 8 replies

Yep, I was that annoying Hornet/Gauss in Siege ? As you can see, my reaction in the chat was at the very end when a 4-tank convoy went out of their way to come and destroy me ?
-
Time to take this HTML babe for a test run ? Edit: Alright, first look: probably the most pointed-out issue in HTML in general is the shaky camera. But it seems as if the way the camera moves itself has changed? It's quite nauseating and messes up my aim. But other than that, the client delivers on what was promised. Takes good use of my GPU and provides awesome FPS. Also it never crashes unlike Flash and was *overall* a good experience considering it was just released. Finally, not sure if this was intentional or a bug, but I can't seem to go to full-screen mode ?
-
In terms of rewards, this war was splendid. However, as players mentioned before, the main problems were the buggy site, info spread out on the span of several days that made getting a comprehensive understanding of the war mechanics harder than it should've. And finally, the fact that hundreds of thousands of defense votes were essentially wasted defending territories that couldn't be attacked. If we can only defend attack-able territories next war, it would make for a more dynamic and interesting event! Also, may I suggest using the same mechanic used in the first war where players were able to pick their factions and what matter more weren't how many stars factions gathered but the factions's average stars earned. This way, all the negative feedback you received from players "always getting put in the losing faction" would be avoided. Also I think just being to pick the faction you want would make fighting for that faction more desirable (think enlisting for war as opposed to getting drafted ?) And finally, the scoring mechanism for this war was top notch. It made turns hardly predictable and kept everyone on their toes. Definitely a keeper.

Why aren't microupgrades taken into consideration when playing as the Juggernaut?

Well, I don't really know about that. The Wiki provides a clear answer to this. Didn't realize this wasn't the case. -

So what you're saying is that an M4 and a stock M3 would deliver the same characteristics when their respective users take up the role of Juggernaut? ? Used the old modification system to avoid confusion. -

Juggernaut's overall power does correlate with your tank's upgrade level. Check this page for detailed info regarding JGN and it's upgrade level. Edit: While the chart still follows the old modifications system, you can see generally how the upgrade (and micro-upgrade) level affects the Juggernaut tank. -
You will get 20K crystals instead if you got an XT container from a challenge. However, if you bought the container from a bundle, your reward would be 500K crystals. Visit this page for more info about containers.

While it is true that this alt provides tremendous DPS, you also can't overlook the fact that it takes a longer time to reload and charge up. If you go up with LCR against someone with Scout alt, you're pretty much done for. This is also the same case with Twins/Smoky/Thunder/etc.. This alts sits in an awkward position where it provides high rewards but it also operates at a high risk. If you miss your shot, you're going to get the worst of it until you reload and more often than not, you'll just end up dead. If you know how to use it properly, you'd obviously prevail with that kind of DPS. But, then again, that's the case for most other alts, isn't it? I clearly have a biased opinion regarding this matter since LCR is my main alteration for Railgun, but that doesn't invalidate my arguments. This is of course not mentioning the fact that Railgun protections are insanely common in MM, which is in itself a way of balancing it's effect. Don't get me wrong, I agree that this is a powerful alteration, but it comes at a heavey price.
