What changes? Also, I have gotten rail m2 protection on this account, MUed it, dictator, and hornet once, got light capacitors, and I'm basically broke. I have 52k left, so I'm wondering if I should still get Cyclops. I can simply MU my shaft 1.3 to m2, and the protection isn't as important atm, since I need one more rank for thunder m2 protection. As for my lower acc I'm waiting for magnum, hunter, and smoky to reach m2 now. Got Rail and Thunder m1 protection, will start Muing, have 21k crystals left. Not gonna get alts for now since I'm broke.

Off topic, but is High Precision Aiming System and Incendiary rounds really that good? I thought HPAS wasn't that good, and incendiary was good but not great. I need this information for my alt :P Also, great article Tide!

I can see that you spent a ton of time on this, and I appreciate it a lot. So for my lower WO4 Acc, I'll definitely get Railgun and Thunder as I see it a lot at m1-2, but for the third module I'm still not sure yet. As for my higher account, should I still stick with the plan of getting cyclops, or get modules instead? If I do get modules, I will get thunder and rail first too. Potentially Gauss, but I'm not seeing a lot of gausses right now, so I will wait for later judgement. The all long range modules will be good since my rico is short range, and I don't use MFS that much. I assume I should wait until christmas/new year sales for the modules right? Thanks for the time and effort. Edit: I can only buy m1 and m2 modules, so I'll have to wait a long time for the micro upgrades too. I can't just buy everything on a 50% sale, I can only get the m1 module for 50% and MU at full price ;-;

I have a pretty decent influx of crystals compared to rank cause I try to get crystal missions, and I only play the missions most of the time. I’m not a fan of light and heavy hulls(with the exception of hornet, which I already own), and I completely didn’t consider modules, so I’ll do that. Any recommendations? I think fox and falcon are good, but I’m not sure. (Drones cost too much to maintain)

On my lower acc Thunde_R, I have magnum, hunter, and smoky at m1.9, which will all be maxed during the Christmas/New Years sales. I recently bought the Corsair kit and have 50k left over, and have started getting Viking and twins to m2. 1.3 each atm. No alts, which I’ll get on Christmas/new year sales. Should I get twins and Viking to m2? I’m still at wo4, so I won’t be unlocking m2 kits I want anytime soon. Assuming I’ll have time to earn back the crystals in time to max one of my above combos, is twins Viking m2 good? The projectiles are really slow and it’s difficult to hit things, at close range I’ll kill myself since I’m not buying the alt yet. Thanks in advance.

Holy crap how did you reach that rank with only m1 smoky and hunter? You probably have a ton of crystals, seeing that you only have Thunder m0, Viking m1 and Titan m0. My WO4 acc has m1.9 smoky and hunter. I feel you probably should have slowly MUed those two. Not worth it now though, so when you get a m2 kit just MU that to m3 instead of waiting for a few years. As for Atlas or Northerner, its really up to preference. Titan is more laidback and better in TDM imo, while Viking can be used for attacking, defending, anything really. Aborigine isn't off limits either, if you like hunter then buy it. Just because you have a m1.1 hunter doesn't mean you can't buy it, your viking is m1 or m1.1 anyways. In fact, buy any kit you want if you like it. Doesn't have to be Northerner or Atlas.

I don’t have experience with the other kits, apart from boar. I’m just going to point out that there is a ton of Rico protections at that rank, especially when the boar kit comes into rotation. I’m currently halfway to first lieutenant, and there is less now. If you want boar kit then MU it. My Rico and dictator is m3 and m2.5 respectively, and I can consistently get top 3, usually first if I drug(I’m sorry). All in all, Boar kit is not a bad choice. Since you seem to want to buy the chiropractor kit, and you’re still WO3, I can give another opinion on shaft m2 later on. I’m planning on buying Cyclops kit soon. Anyone know if Cyclops will come around anytime soon? Still only have 90k or so, since I was MUing my Rico and dictator. Also, just out of curiosity, what are the best and worst m3s atm?

Agreed. I would recommend a dictator kit if you don’t want to wait, but you can wait for a hunter kit like pitbull or juggler too. Viking kits are even later. Two light hills and two long range turrets are situational. I am also assuming by smoky and Titan m2 you also mean 1.10 and not 2.10. Get the kit and start muing it to l3. If you want to know the best prices for muing, check out he previous page. Basically upgrading without speed ups with no discount = 50/75 discounts.

Get a m2 kit that has a medium to long range turret. Hull would preferably be light or medium so it works with the new turret and freeze. If you don’t want to wait, there are plenty of dictator kits, plus juggler and tornado at your rank. Choose depending on your preferences. I’m sure Tidebreaker and HBTY would recommend Chiropractor though :P

Okay so my options right now are: Cyclops - better than Chiro since its cheaper and hull doesn't matter - 174k crystals. Benefits include the shaft module and a hull for really cheap. However, I have 119.7k crystals right now so I'll have to wait for a long time, both for kit rotations and getting the crystals. (Should I MU Rico and Dictator during Halloween? M2.9 Rico and M2.2 Dictator currently.) MU Shaft from 1.3 to m2 - can buy it all during the sales - 124k with 50% discount on upgrades and speedups. MUing shaft is cheaper, and a lot faster, since I'll be buying speedups from 1.3 all the way to 1.9 during the sales. I can save more for dictator and Rico but I won't get the module. I can always wait for another sale to buy a m2 module, but it'll be a long time. Basically, invest more and wait longer, or just mu shaft to m2 on Halloween sales? Since Tidebreaker mentioned it, approximately when does RFM spam start? And is it really that horrifying? Thanks for all the replies.

This is mainly to Tidebreaker but any help would be appreciated: My Rico is basically m3, I’ll mu dictator to m3 on Halloween too, and I will probably get Chiropractor. I’m about to rank up so it’ll be avaailable soon. So my point is - why get chiropractor? The point of it is to get Shaft M2 ASAP, but muing would be cheaper. Hunter will be useless since I’ll have dictator m2+, and I don’t really care about the modules, I’m too broke to care.

Okay, I’ll go for Rico m3, Chiro, then dictator m3, then shaft m3. However, doesn’t that mean hunter m2 will be useless?

Ok, fair enough. I'll play hunter on my alt, which is going for magnum, smoky, and hunter m1.10 asap. I guess playing hunter on both acc will make gameplay more boring. Gotta say, I still don't like the OD tho. So should I get Rico m2.8 to m3, and Dictator m2.1 to m3 first, or Chiropractor kit first?

Can everyone explain why dictator m3 is so great...? Hunter m3 has the same health and is faster. Relatively stable too. Height aside, everyone only mentions stability for dictator. Is it that great of a trade off, speed for stability...? Hunter is pretty stable too...

I remember the variety of maps we had to choose from back when MM wasn't a thing. Damn, esplanade really brings back some good memories. Maps like rift, station, and subway were really cool too. GJ Tidebreaker! Also, noise, rio, and hill were honestly some of the coolest maps ever. I wish we could choose the maps we played without the pro battle pass...

I mean, I used to play with viking m2, and I don't really remember the stability. I do know that m1 viking isn't, so I'll take your word for it. So, what about hunter and dictator? They are both relatively stable, hunter has the better overdrive(counters a lot of others, versatile, no annoying teammates trying to get you to activate it), hunter is also faster. Height has advantages and disadvantages, and I don't care too much about the gold part. So... Is there a more convincing argument to getting dictator, apart from playing with friends? the 50% overdrive buff isn't too great in an uncoordinated team. Everyone is Russian too. Honestly, Ima go with hunter instead of dictator because so far I'm not seeing any convincing arguments.
